not to have contact with. he is about to face a judge. wmur' s ray brewer joins us live with the latest. ray: the stalking charge will be held at rochester court here at superior court. we can tell you that richard penney has been brought here, stemming from an incident to where he allegedly -- where he allegedly held a gun to his brothers had, and then kidnapped a woman in a three-hour standoff with police. following his arrest, he was found not competent to stand trial. as a result, the state is looking to dismiss the charges against him, stemming from the incident in 2013. however, at 9:00 last night, middleton police delivered an arrest warrant to the strafford county jail where he is currently being held, charging him with two counts of stalking. as you mentioned, he allegedly made calls to someone he was not

supposed to back in january and february of this year. he is scheduled to be arraigned on those charges at 1:00 this afternoon in circuit court in rochester, however because this hearing is not taken place yet, that might be pushed back. reporting live in dover, ray brewer, wmur news 9. erin: new charges this noon for a nottingham school bus driver who crashed her bus back in february with students onboard. police say stephanie boyd crashed the bus while downloading an app to her cell phone. the bus went off the road and hit a tree. one child suffered a fractured jaw. she is now facing charges, including second-degree assault. boyd voluntarily gave up her right to drive a bus. right now dozens of animals are recovering after police say they were rescued from filthy living conditions at a home in derry. authorities say the animals were severely malnourished and were suffering from disease. they are now being cared for by the new hampshire spca in stratham. police say the owner is cooperating and so far no charges have been filed.

back in the low- and mid-50' s. let' s head to "grow it green. sean: we talking about ways to help certain plants survive the winter. we are joined by margaret hagan. i did not know you could do a lot of this. what are we doing today? margaret: about the time the first hard frost hits, the things that will not make it over the winter, they are called summer bulbs, even though most are not actually a bald, have to be brought inside and stores so you can replay of because they are gorgeous. who does not love dahlias, but they do not make it over the winter. so, about this time of year, you want to go out to your garden and cut things back to six or eight inches, and gently, with them out of the garden. you do not want to bruise or wound them because that will make it harder for them to survive the winter indoors.

let them cure for about 10 days -- put them on newspaper, maybe in a dry, cool place. then, after that, once the dirt has dried on them, you can go through with a gentle brush and give it a little bit of a cleaning and they are stored. sean: it comes off easy. margaret: it comes off very easy. then you can store them for the winter and there are a number of different ways to do that. so, you can put them in a plastic lag -- a black one, and punch holes in it with a pencil so that there is a little air circulation. my grandmother used to put them in an onion bag and hang it in her heated garage or down in the basement. you can put them in a damp paper bag with some damp piedmont. for all of these methods, you need something to go between the
