jennifer: it was along this path near his house a deputy conservation officer with fish and game was walking with his dog when they were attacked by two pit bulls. >> this was where the dog had her pinned down and was shaking her. jennifer: lady is recovering from multiple wounds. dave out with her for a walk, she was at his side when they were attacked by a pair of pitbulls. >> all of a sudden i was pulled over backwards. one jumped up. it was shredded. jennifer: he says it' s with his closest called in over 20 years of law-enforcement. >> it came at my face and neck.

i was punching as hard as i could. i' m a big guy. i could not even get their attention. jennifer: the owner of the home finally coming to help. dave took lady home to get her to the vet. he and his wife, animal lovers with a message. >> we could not live with ourselves if this happens to anyone else. we want people to be responsible because the dogs are not able to it is up to the people. jennifer: the homeowner faces six violations, two each for letting them run loose and for the attacks. >> if it was a woman or a child, it would have been catastrophic. jennifer: the investigation continues into other encounters with these pebbles. meantime, although the homeowner faces violation offenses, he

must appear before a judge. jennifer crompton, wmur news 9. josh: tom: now to franklin where a man walking his dog made a disturbing find. the fire department quickly set up a perimeter after taking one look at some suspicious looking bottles and federal investigators were called in. wmur' s shelley walcott joins us live with details of this investigation. >> this is dangerous stuff. somebody was cooking meth in individual bottles. a resident walking his dog spotted the strange bottles. some of them had tubes sticking out of them. the area was sealed off and called in the fire department. we spoke to the police chief and here are some details he offered. >> last night in individual walking their dog happened to

it was a plastic bottle and it was smoking, or had some ingredients he did not recognize. he called us and we were able to identify it as methamphetamine production. in mind and expect to make some arrests shortly. >> a man was taken into custody last night at the econo-lodge in manchester, charged with selling heroin. manchester police worked with a state police narcotics unit to execute a search warrant of the hotel, they arrested 26-year-old paulson papillon. additional charges include possession with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine. bail was set at $10,000 cash. tonight on wmur we will be airing a special town hall event focusing squarly on the war on heroin and the crisis of addiction in new hampshire. tom: josh mcelveen was one of the moderators of the event and

they range from china, jewelry, tools and antiques. even the kitchen sink. >> the first thing i noticed was the kitchen stove. it is like a $20,000, on some antique sites. tom: sweeney reminds people to come with cash or certified checks. jennifer: planned parenthood in claremont was closed again today but they hope to reopen soon. the clinic had to close yesterday and today after police say a boy broke in and destroyed thousands of dollars in equipment. he also is accused of damaging the plumbing flooding both the clinic and the business next door. tom: if you like the warm temperatures, you are out a block tomorrow. hayley: if you want the cool air back, you are getting it. this was a one-day thing. clouds and showers moving now.

many of you join the 70 degree club today in late october. temperatures in the 70' s in nashua, salem. low 70' s in dover. here is where we stand right now. we are you in the 60' s. even into the 50' s in the matter knock region. 62 concord. 63 in nashua. here is going to be the dealbreaker. the winds are going to shift because of a cold front. right now the wind is out of the southwest. they are going to switch around overnight and come out of the northwest and that is going to drag down the cold air right out of quebec. are going to feel different compared to today. here are the remaining clouds. most of the showers are basically gone. a few communities around the coast line.

you' ve got another 15 minutes and then these showers will be gone. the clouds clearing away. the actual cold front is in quebec. this will slides through overnight and that will open the floodgates to this colder air we are going to have coming down out of the northwest tomorrow. lingering showers, clouds in the evening. those clear out and here we are friday morning waking up to sunshine in most locations. maybe some lingering clouds, possibly a snow shower. most of us remain dry tomorrow and then we are back to sunshine with completely clear skies. it is going to be like earlier this week with all of us falling into the 20' s overnight. saturday looks dry. just going to be some clouds.

she has more than 1900 to her credit. >> it was awesome. it was a huge accomplishment for me. i' ve been playing varsity since my sophomore year. it showed how much hard work i put into the season. jason: volleyball is a family affair. her sister was a hometown hero last year and now plays at university. >> she and i are so close. her being a hometown hero last year is awesome. she taught me a lot about the game. she was the grow i looked up to last year. having the girls look up to me means a lot. >> now it' s jo' s turn. >> it would be amazing. this is our goal, to win another state championship.
