i was punching as hard as i could. i' m a big guy. i could not even get their attention. jennifer: the owner of the home finally coming to help. dave took lady home to get her to the vet. he and his wife, animal lovers with a message. >> we could not live with ourselves if this happens to anyone else. we want people to be responsible because the dogs are not able to it is up to the people. jennifer: the homeowner faces six violations, two each for letting them run loose and for the attacks. >> if it was a woman or a child, it would have been catastrophic. jennifer: the investigation continues into other encounters with these pebbles. meantime, although the homeowner faces violation offenses, he

must appear before a judge. jennifer crompton, wmur news 9. josh: tom: now to franklin where a man walking his dog made a disturbing find. the fire department quickly set up a perimeter after taking one look at some suspicious looking bottles and federal investigators were called in. wmur' s shelley walcott joins us live with details of this investigation. >> this is dangerous stuff. somebody was cooking meth in individual bottles. a resident walking his dog spotted the strange bottles. some of them had tubes sticking out of them. the area was sealed off and called in the fire department. we spoke to the police chief and here are some details he offered. >> last night in individual walking their dog happened to

it was a plastic bottle and it was smoking, or had some ingredients he did not recognize. he called us and we were able to identify it as methamphetamine production. in mind and expect to make some arrests shortly. >> a man was taken into custody last night at the econo-lodge in manchester, charged with selling heroin. manchester police worked with a state police narcotics unit to execute a search warrant of the hotel, they arrested 26-year-old paulson papillon. additional charges include possession with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine. bail was set at $10,000 cash. tonight on wmur we will be airing a special town hall event focusing squarly on the war on heroin and the crisis of addiction in new hampshire. tom: josh mcelveen was one of the moderators of the event and
