now, wmur news 9 at noon. adam: right now, police are searching for the man behind a scary night for this mcdonald' s employee. a robber points a rifle in her face demanding money and leaves with the entire cash drawer. good afternoon. i' m adam sexton. the employee told police the suspect pointed the rifle directly at her and demanded money, and said "i will kill you." the suspect wasn' t wearing a shirt at the time of the hold optional crime. s andy hershberger is live this noon with our top story. andy: police are reminding everyone that while the suspect' s outfit was unusual, this was still a very dangerous situation. concord police say it was about walked into the mcdonald' fisherville road and pointed of the employees. police say the man was not wearing a shirt but did have on a mask. authorities say he told the workers to give him the money or he was going to kill them. police say he repeated this threat several times. police say when the clerk opened

the register, the suspect grabbed the entire cash drawer and ran toward a nearby parking lot and may have left the scene in a car. police say they are still puzzled by what he was wearing. lt. o' malley: purely speculation. not sure if there was a reason behind the outfit. not sure if there' s something going on. it would be purely speculation. it could be a number of explanations. we are hard pressed to say anything about that at this time. we are trying to figure that out ourselves. what we do know is we' re hoping that what we do have for a description and the video will lead to some tips on this. andy: anyone with information about this case is asked to call the concord police at 225-8600. reporting live in concord, andy hershberger, wmur news 9. adam: andy, thank you. meanwhile in manchester, police are searching for this robber. police say the 7-eleven store on

webster street was held up overnight. the clerk says a man put several items on the counter and then demanded cash from the register. police say the suspect is a white man in his 50' s. soon after the holdup, this car was seen leaving the area by the gas pumps. at this time, police say it' s not clear if it was involved. new hampshire state police nab a woman wanted for more than a decade after doing a records check on a broken down car on the highway. today, she faced a judge here in manchester. wmur' s ray brewer has more on what she was wanted for and where she will be returning to two face the charges. ray: andrea erceg is wanted in his opening up. the original arrest warrant says surrounding states, however, new the district attorney' s office in mercer county, and they said they want her back. after 12 years on the run, andrea erceg agreed to go back charged with burglary retail theft. the judge asking her if she wanted to challenge extradition. andrea erceg: i don' t want to s

ray: erceg was arrested thursday afternoon just before 5:00, as she was heading up 93 north by exit 8. trooper barassi: we observed her vehicle traveling about 30 miles per hour. we believe she was having some mechanical difficulties. she was pulled over for concern for the public. there were several vehicles behind her trying to get around her. ray: erceg was the only one in the car, according to the trooper. a record check turned up the arrest warrant from mercer county in pennsylvania, and erceg was taken in to custody. trooper bill barassi says this arrest highlights the dangers of a traffic stop. trooper barassi: it' s always a concern stopping these vehicles never know. no car stop is routine. ray: pennsylvania authorities will have until november third to come get erceg. if they don' t pick her up, another hearing will be held in which she could be released. reporting live in manchester, ray brewer, wmur news 9. adam: thanks, ray. calling hours will take place tonight for a spaulding high school senior who died last saturday. 17-year-old eve tarmey' s death is being investigated as a possible drug overdose. jennifer crompton sat down with two of eve'

s classmates who have planned a vigil to honor her memory. jennifer: a candlelight vigil is planned for eve tarmey here at rochester commons sunday night. it is an event planned by her caring classmates. casey wachowiak and stevie russ got the needed permits and the candles, even the p.a. system for the community to gather here. last saturday, 17-year-old eve tarmey was found dead in the motel room where she was staying with her mother and her mother' s boyfriend. the two didn' t know eve well and are aware that her death is being investigated as a possible overdose. but they say right now, what' s important is that the community can grieve together to celebrate her memory. casey wachowiak: definitely very tough, a lot of kids, we' ve been passing them in the halls, and they have been crying. it is just really sad to see. stevie russ: it is like you'

ve lost someone. you' ve lost one of your classmates, and you don' t think that' s ever going to happen but you walk through the hallway and just feel this vibe, something' s different, something' s totally missing. jennifer: those classmates have also set up a gofundme page to help pay for eve' s funeral expenses. in rochester, jennifer crompton, wmur news 9. adam: if you missed our hour-long town hall meeting on the the state of addiction the war on heroin, you can watch it on our website wmur.com. a rochester middle schooler has been suspended after police say the student brought a bb gun to campus. school officials were tipped off by a fellow student. they say there was not an imminent threat to safety, so no emergency alert was issued. parents were made aware about the situation via email. a driver and a dog were killed in a fiery crash in newport overnight. police say a car went off john stark highway, hit a tree, and burst into flames. a second dog in the car survived and was taken to a local vet for treatment. the road was shut down for three hours while the accident reconstruction team investigated. turning now to the weather -- a

the tropics too, all ahead. adam: in today' s commitment 2016, lincoln chafee is thanking the democrats in new hampshire after he announced this morning he has dropping out of the race for president. mr. chafee: but after much thought, i have decided to end my campaign for the president today. thank you. adam: the former rhode island governor made this announcement at the women' s forum held by the democratic national committee. he struggled to raise money and gain traction against democrats hillary clinton and bernie sanders. as you know, senator jim webb is out, and vice president joe biden decided he isn' t running. on the republican side, ohio governor john kasich just wrapped up a town hall in manchester. he has two more planned -- one at 12:30 in milford and another in concord at 6:00. also, south carolina senator lindsay graham will be touring a business in rochester this afternoon. hey well do some door knocking in milton, and then he attends a house party at scott brown' s home in rye this evening. and governor george pataki was in manchester taping a wmur

adam: check out this video. a massive water main break has flooded and closed a section of queens in new york. the break apparently started at a construction site. as you can see, the breech -- the breech flooded nearby streets. it took quite a while to cap the main. thankfully all the construction workers at the site have been accounted for. a search is underway in new jersey for a tractor trailer driver who left this scene. the bus hit the truck this morning trapping the bus driver. at the time only the bus driver was onboard and no students were involved. the road was shutdown in both directions but has since been reopened. in southwest france, more than 40 people were killed when a bus and truck crashed head-on.

these are aerials of the aftermath after the two vehicles burst into flames. the bus was carrying mainly elderly passengers. 43 people were killed. officials say the truck driver lost control of the bus, excuse me, the truck driver lost control, hit the bus, and tried to avoid it when the two collided. one person has been killed in a shooting on the campus of tennessee state university in nashville. police say the shooting happened after an apparent dispute over a dice game. two others were also injured in the shooting at an outdoor courtyard. it wasn' t immediately clear if those students were hit by gunfire or hurt in another way. no word right now on any suspects. an update now on the strongest hurricane ever in the western hemisphere. patricia is a category 5 storm headed toward mexico' s pacific coast, packing 200-mile-an-hour winds. the national hurricane center says the storm is heading for potentially catastrophic landfall in southwestern mexico later today. parts of texas could also feel its effects. meteorologist hayley lapoint

different regions across new hampshire this afternoon. some of us see more sunshine than others. it will basically be a good mix of sun and clouds as we progress through the afternoon here, but the big story is the cold. look at us -- we are still in the 30' s and the great north woods whitefield only 39 right now, in the ortiz in concord, 46 nashua, low 40' s keene, jaffrey. we had 60' s and 70' s and many of these southern communities in it happens here in new hampshire. the main driver for this -- much colder air coming down out of canada, and it is raining southward with the assistance of re cranking, up near 25 miles an hour in concord, 40 miles an hour in manchester. it will be a breezy afternoon down. some clouds with the cool air be sunshine as we progress through the afternoon. it looks that most of eastern

time, you might get a glimpse of the sun. those clouds will move out tonight, setting us up for a cold night. venice area here, it is our saturday weather, and here is our sunday weather, at least or the first part of our sunday. there will be showers that pass on through. futurecast, i will show you hour-by-hour, we will go through and see some clouds and sunshine through the afternoon, but these guys expected -- but these skies expected to clear. it will be cold and frosty early on saturday morning. starting out with sun saturday morning, but it will not last. clouds will fill income it becomes overcast, but the good news is -- know what weather on saturday. sunday is the good day with showers coming through. mostly in the morning. by about noon time, we should start to see the sun peeking through the clouds. here is the latest on the hurricane, hurricane patricia, the strongest in the north and eastern pacific or the atlantic

tell us about this recipe. diane: this is a great recipe. we are in the middle of the pumpkin festival weekend. we will start by roasting a pumpkin. put in a pan, cover it with a little bit of water, and they get for about an hour. you cook the flesh right out of it. the recipe starts with one and a half cups of milk. i like to use whole milk. one cup of the fresh pumpkin. you can use canned if you need to, but fresh is nice. we will add a couple of tablespoons of applesauce. it keeps it low-fat that way. adam: secret ingredient. diane: absolutely. we will add in one egg anfd d two tablespoons of vinegar. he will want to make this up and set it aside and do the gripe --

three tablespoons of light brown sugar, or i have used maple sugar just to tied into new hampshire, and then it takes some spices. we will add a little bit of allspice, about half a teaspoon, a couple teaspoons of cinnamon because i really like cinnamon, and we will add just a little bit of ginger, half a teaspoon. then we will put in a couple of tablespoons of baking powder, and then a little bit of baking soda that will make these fluff up, and then a dab of salt. when you get all of the dry ingredients stirred together, you will add that to your wet ingredients, and then just mix it up. it is really easy. it is a great way to start the pumpkin festival with pumpkin pancakes. adam: this is the last weekend for apple picking. diane: exactly. we will be at the farmers market to saturday morning in concord 8:30 until noon right on capitals rate. if you really want to add
