>> no one covers new hampshire like we do. now, news 9 at 6:00. stephanie: right now, friends and classmates of a rochester teen found dead in a motel room last weekend are holding a candlelight vigil in her honor. 17-year-old eve tarmey died of a suspected drug overdose. good evening, i' m stephanie woods. last saturday, the spaulding high school senior was found dead at the riviera motel. you' re taking a live look at rochester commons, where organizers of the vigil plan to focus not on what killed tarmey but the loss of someone so young. >> it is overwhelming to us. the sheer degree of support and prayers and thoughts just on a daily basis is overwhelming. i have never seen anything like this. stephanie: the vigil goes until 7:30 tonight.

temperatures tomorrow will be noticeably cooler. i will have the full forecast in a few minutes. stephanie: thank you. a deadly rollover crash in windham killed one woman and injured another. state police say they responded to a report of a crash on i-93 north at about 3:30 this morning and found a car on its roof. with two women from londonerry inside. 20-year-old suzanne darcy was taken to parkland medical center where she was pronounced dead. crews took 22-year-old kelsey lenfest to portsmouth regional hospital. police are investigating the cause of the crash. conservation officers rescued lost hikers in benton last night. the massachuetts hikers planned client mount moosilauke when took a wrong turn. the hikers say trees were marked with blue paint, the same color used to mark the trail. fish and game used gps coordinates from the hikers phones to find them and assisted them back to their car. the e.p.a. has released its clean power plan to protect the

today, u.s. senator kelly ayotte announced her support. the plan was published by the obama administration on friday. it wants existing power plants to reduce carbon emissions from existing power plants by 32% from 2005 levels by 2030. senator ayotte is the first senate republican to support this plan. >> new hampshire is well on its way through positive steps that we have already taken to meeting these goals. but i am going to carefully monitor the implementation of this plan to make sure there is sufficient flexibility and that it works for new hampshire. stephanie: each state has a set target and is responsible for coming up with a plan to meet it' s goal. police say two manchester men were making and selling methamphetamine out of a burlington, massachusetts hotel , room. burlington police say they executed a search warrant a room at a sonesta suites hotel after a hotel employee old police he saw people carrying chemicals into the room and smelled a foul odor. police say they found meth inside the room and plastic bags covering the smoke detectors. 24-year-old eric sowmick and

52-year-old tony pickard both of manchester were arrested and charged with drug possession. a burlington man is also facing charges. a man from san francisco is helping homeless people reunite with their families. he is traveling across the country. he is recording short videos and posting them to social media in hopes of making a connection. kristen carosa joins us live with more. kristen: kevin adler was here in new hampshire today connecting with people on hanover street. those who wanted a video to reach out to family they haven' t seen in a while were given the opportunity to do that. it' s a simple act of a kindness with a very powerful message. >> we are going to do whatever we can to help you reunite with your daughter. kristen: kevin adler is helping the homeless find their family. >> my heart is hurting, because i have never met you. kristen: it' s a raw, emotional

daughter. it will be posted to you tube and on social media in the hopes of making a connection. adler' s calling it a miracle message and it has already helped a homeless man in california. a connection was made in under three weeks. >> not only had all of his siblings who hadn' t seen him in 33 years recorded videos back to johnny but they all flew out from across the country with their partners and their kids to reunite in person. kristen: adler is now helping several homeless people in manchester that frequent the 12:69 cafe, a spiritual organization that helps with food and support. >> i got no money. basically, i am alone. kristen: dal lambert has been homeless for years and is hoping to find his sisters. he was among the first to record a message. >> he is doing a big effort on that so i can get back with my family. kristen: adler is doing this in memory of his uncle mark who was also homeless. he didn' t have a relationship

with him and wished he had. >> in memory of my uncle mark, travelling across the country with volunteers and helping folks like my uncle reunite with their families before its too late. kristen: he' s been to maine, vermont, new hampshire, and next to massachusetts, not stopping until he helps 100 people who are in need of respect. >> someone who is just homeless joe or jane to you or i could be the most important person in the world to that one person that is looking for them, that' s what motivates this. kristen: kevin is challenging everyone to offer this to . it' s a small gift but one that someone else' s life. about kevin' s mission. reporting live, kristen carosa, wmur news 9. stephanie: thanks. a project to create a bike bath from southern maine to northern massachusetts is on hold. the new hampshire seacoast greenway would run more than 17

got a little bit of sunshine sunset. rain showers have fizzled out over the past couple of hours. you might have had them in the great north woods over the past couple of hours. for most of us, the rain fell this morning and the pavement dried up. hanging around. watching closely what is of the u.s. some very heavy rain still ongoing in places like houston and now moving into louisiana. the remnants of hurricane patricia, you might have heard about that on friday print the strongest hurricane recorded ever. the leftover moisture is here. eventually, this is going to impact us. it is going to come through on wednesday into thursday bringing in heavy rain and even wind. a real rainstorm expected wednesday night into thursday. let' s talk about what is going on today and now.

we got into the 60' s, concord and manchester above the average high for this time in october, which is about 57 degrees. here is where we are now. we have fallen into the 40' north. 50' s in concord, manchester about 50. nashua, 57. the winds have been active today. the couple of places have gusted over 20 miles an hour. the current wind speed and plymouth 12 miles an hour. less in the southern part of the state. the wind is expected to ease overnight. s north print the rest of the state will fall into the 30' s. likely a frosty start tomorrow in concord with temperatures in the 30' s. here' s what we can expect. tomorrow will be sunny, most part. s, especially in the northern part of the state. at the bus stop in the morning, it will be chilly. 31 in a lot of spots. at recess, in the mid-40' s.
