erin: we had some downpours overnight. still raining out there in some spots this morning. sean: the rain and the wind causing a few problems out there with some scattered power outages around the state. it got windy out there. kevin: the rain chances, the wind, and the chances of thunder still out there for the midafternoon. we do have the wet highways from the rainfall that moved in during the evening and overnight hours. the first moving into western areas of the state while we have the cold front for western new york that will move through the state into the afternoon. there will be dry hours and warmer temperatures. we start off in the 50' s and 60' s. 60' s to lower 70' s this

i' m deborah david sent for 95.7 wzid. erin: sentencing is set for today for owen labrie, the st. paul graduate convicted of sexually assaulting a female student. sean: the defense filed paperwork yesterday with the judge including a dozen letters from his friends and family. ray brewer is life outside superior court in concord where he will learn his fate today. good morning. ray: good morning. the 43-page memo filed by the defense claims that owen labrie made a mistake as a high school senior but should not have to life. the jury convicted him of misdemeanor sexual assault and a felony count of using a computer to seduce or entice a child under the age of 16. the jury did not find him guilty of forcible sexual assault charges, but he still faces the possibility of having to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. defense attorney jay carney is asking for just probation and friends

had a bomb on a bag in front of other passengers on a united flight. police did not find any explosives and charged him with making a false bomb threat. erin: a new report is documenting the fatal errors made in the case of a little girl found dead on a beach in massachusetts. the body of two-year-old bella bond was discovered on deer island back in june. an independent investigator found that the state social workers failed the little girl when they closed her case in 2013 after receiving reports that her mother was neglecting her. the mother' s boyfriend michael mccarthy is charged with her murder and her mother, rachelle bond, is charged with being an accessory after the fact. her biological father is disappointed in the way the case was handled. >> i' m angry, i' m furious, i' m sad, i' m grieving big-time. i really do believe that if they would have spent more time, she would have been alive. she would have been safer in a foster home with a stranger. erin: dcf says system-wide

kevin: you laugh and that will be the next movie. rainfall continuing to pull away from the heaviest overnight. we still have some wet highways and a couple more periods of rain to get through. we continue to see another batch back out through western parts of new york that will come through early to mid afternoon. that is the actual cold front. that means the milder air we have in place should allow temperatures to go into the 60' s and possibly even the lower 70' s. a couple of sunny breaks to go along with it. you can see the front moving through western parts of new york. that starts to make its way in and the cooler air will win out after that. temperatures will return much closer to the average starting tonight and continuing through the weekend. a couple more downpours to get through. we will be adding on to those 1-2 inch totals there.

i thought southern new hampshire university was only online. but then i visited and saw that there was this amazing campus, with a great campus culture. the community was just amazing, i really feel like this is my family. i've made so many friends here, friends that i know i'll have for life. i have everything i need to succeed right here. there's always something happening here. this is such a fun place to be. everybody really loves what they're doing here.
