adam: right now, several streets in manchester' s north end are blocked off as the f.b.i. and manchester police search for clues in the murder of denise robert. good afternoon, i' m adam sexton. the 62-year-old was shot and killed over two months ago on august 30. since robert was murdered, there have been no arrests, and a reward for information in the case has gone unclaimed. ray brewer is live near the scene of the murder. ray, what exactly are investigators doing right now? ray: adam, most of the morning investigators have been concentrating their search for evidence in the lawn of the home that you see there, about a block away from where robert was shot. beginning at place on ray street, where robert' s body was discovered the night of august 30, investigators used a device to pinpoint the line of sight where the evidence might be found. that led them to the front lawn of a house on the corner of carpenter and north adams street. members of the team taped off the front lawn into lanes, while

lawn with metal detectors. it has been a little over two months since robert died from a single gunshot wound. robert was a longtime advertising employee for the union leader, and used to take walks in the north end neighborhood every sunday night. neighbors have said that they saw a pickup truck speeding away from the scene, but it' s unclear if that pickup was connected in any way with the shooting. the fbi and police are expected to continue their search you can see them working with the metal detector. they have also been planting flags. it' s not clear what they are looking for but is related to the murder. i' m ray brewer. deadly shooting in manchester. s office says that michael pittman died

of a gunshot wound to the torso. he was shot tuesday night outside his granite street apartment. investigators are calling his death a homicide and say the shooting is not random. they are still searching for the suspect. an investigation is underway this noon after a small plane registered to a rye man crashed off the coast of queens, new york. the coast guard has recovered a body. the beechcraft plane crashed around 8:00 last night. it took off from philadelphia and was headed to portsmouth. the plane is registered to james mcgee of rye. it is not clear if he was actually on board. the faa says no distress call was ever made. in commitment 2016, it' s a busy day in the granite state as seven presidential candidates are in town. three are adding their names to the first in the nation primary ballot. for the republicans, marco rubio stopped by the secretary of state' s office at 9:00 this morning. and carly fiorina is scheduled to file at any moment. she is the 4th major candidate to file.

adam: as we enjoy unseasonably warm weather, northern arizona continues to recover from its first major snowfall of the season. nine inches of snow fell there yesterday, breaking a 90 year old record for the most snow on november 4th. as you can imagine, police were busy responding to crashes and highway slide-offs.

colder air continuing to work its way into western parts of the country, we have the warmer air on the eastern seaboard. we get a little bit of a break from this through the weekend. beyond that, we are looking at milder than average temperatures to continue. bursts of cooler air coming in. the first one will be right over the weekend with maybe the risk of a shower. if you don' t see a shower tomorrow afternoon, you likely may go a full week without any sort of precipitation. which is rather uncommon for the month of november. november is known as the cloudiest month of the year. we have some filtered sunshine along with a west breeze. temperatures are in the 60' s and some lower 70' s.
