andy: things have wrapped up for the day in this neighborhood and we' re told it' s unlikely the search will stretch into tomorrow. officials say this is just another step in their investigation into the murder of denise robert. they searched on roofs and they dug into the ground looking for clues in the murder of denise robert. members of the fbi fanned out across this neighborhood were the 62-year-old woman was shot and killed while taking a walk two months ago. >> a think it' s good that they' re doing something about it and not letting it go, because it' s not right. >> i think it' s good that they are continuing the investigation and trying to get it solved so anyting i can do i' d be more than happy to help and i' m sure the neighbors feel the same way. andy officials say this is just : the most recent step in their ongoing investigation and that they' re not responding to any particular tip or specific piece of information. they are simply looking for any evidence that can help.

see this end right now, today, but it' s not going to happen from a practical perspective. there' s more evidence to be collected. andy tom robert says there is : some frustration over the pace of the investigation, but he thinks that' s normal with any unsolved case. he says he and his family know work is being done to catch whoever is responsible. >> i think we are getting past, we are way past the shock stage and we' re all looking for some sort of resolution and there' s some anxiety about that. we know people are working on this and we' ll get this. we are hopeful that it will be resolved at some point. andy officials say there is also : still a 42,000 dollar reward in this case that remains in effect.

tom: new information tonight in a deadly shooting in manchester. the attorney general' s office says that michael pittman died of a gunshot wound to the torso. he was shot tuesday night outside his granite street apartment. investigators are calling his death a homicide and say the shooting is not random. and they are still searching for the suspect. jennifer a small plane bound for : new hampshire' s seacoast crashed last night. the plane was registered to a rye man and investigators say they have recovered a body at the scene. wmur' s shelley walcott is live with more on the investigation. shelley investigators have not : yet released the name of the person who died after that small plane crash in new york. as you mentioned, the plane was registered to a man from rye. but no distress call was made shortly before it crashed into the ocean. by air and by sea today. the nypd resumed the search for wreckage, after a small plane crash off the coast of breezy point queens. the two seater, beechcraft plane crashed around 8:00 wednesday night. it took off from philadelphia and was headed to portsmouth.

the plane is registered to james mcgee of rye. it is not clear if he was actually on board. the faa says no distress call was ever made. but witnesses say it was clear the pilot was in trouble. you usually don' t fly that low. and you usually go straight you don' t fly over breezy point. shelley: john norton was on the s low altitude. other people reported hearing something strange in the air. >> it sounded like something in distress. a sort of rumbling. but we didn' t know what it was. shelley: according to flight tracking websites, the plane was headed here. the nypd launched a massive search and rescue effort. the tale was located and eventually a body was recovered.

three more candidates file. jennifer: marco rubio, carly fiorina, and bernie sanders all signed up. free. reporter: things could have gotten very interesting if bill gardner decided to challenge bernie sanders ability to run as a democrat for president in new hampshire, because for so long, senator sanders has identified as and campaigned as an independent in vermont. in the end, it was not an issue. it ended up being somewhat of an afterthought in a rather busy day at the statehouse. bernie sanders emerged from the statehouse thursday afternoon to a crowd of cheering supporters. just minutes before, he officially filed his candidacy primary. for years sanders has identified himself and run for office as an independent, and many were curious if secretary of state bill gardner would raise senator' affiliation. in the end, it wasn'

tom: a renovation project leads to a pretty cool find in the city of lebanon. jennifer crews fixing the : granite front steps of the city hall found a time capsule. inside the whiskey bottle were newspaper clippings a coin and a handwritten scroll dated june 10, 1944. it was put there more than 70 years ago by the former city surveyor samuel stevens. the scroll says there are other capsules including one under a catholic church. >> now, the chief meteorologist mike kallick with your storm watch nine forecast. >> the feel of either early faller mid spring continues. it has been a beautiful stretch here in november.

clouds making for a nice sunset in a few spots. here is the official high in concord so far. 72 degrees, only three off the recobe of 75. you will notice a chilly morning low of 33, very close to the average. but what a jump. close to the 70' s. we have a record high in one spot tomorrow at the coast. what about warmth in november. 70' s. you might think it happens from time to time. it doesn' t happen all that often. so far this month, today in november 3, two days of 70 plus in concord. from 2006-2014, zero. no days that we eclipsed 70 degrees, and only one day back in 2005. it' s a very rare to get this warm for so long in november. here are the highs across the state. close to a record high, but shy

by three degrees of the coast. by tomorrow, we are going to see the records shattered. the record high is only 62 degrees. still quite warm with a southwesterly flow. 60' s for many. overnight tonight, chile for many. there he close to normal high temperatures for this time of year. a warm start to another warm on on friday. springlike conditions back to the west. it shuts off quickly on the plane states. cooler air will begin to build in stating -- starting friday night, and around of showers a late in the afternoon or early evening tomorrow. much cooler air begins to roll in. saturday, temperatures above average, and then right at or even slightly below on sunday. then temperatures climb above average early next week.
