event is underway in manchester, a city wide recount. i' m sean mcdonald. mayor ted gatsas won a fourth term in the election last tuesday, but the margin of victory was narrow enough for his opponent, joyce craig, to ask that the ballots be counted again. wmur' s ray brewer is live in manchester outside the building where the recount is taking place. ray: good afternoon, sean. the last city wide recount the clerk can recall was back in primary. here, the stakes much higher with the leader going on to lead the city the next two years. shortly after 9:00 a.m., the process of hand counting 20,198 ballot got underway in manchester. last tuesday, incumbent mayor ted gets his won the election, but only by 85 votes. that prompted the opponent, joyce craig, to call for a recount. ms. craig: a recount was very

necessary today. ray: officials began sorting the ballots, watched by representatives from each camp. undisputed ballots went into boxes with the candidates' names. challenged ballots were forwarded to the board of recount for final determination. watching the process and full was the mayor, who despite winning tuesday, wasn' t ready to declare victory. >> licenses vision anything happen and we stood here and are humbled by the voters that came out and i think it is important to pay attention to what is happening in coming votes. ray: asked if there are any regularities on the closeness of the, craig reply there' s nothing major. >> the things we haven' t hearing in terms of pens being used and blanks, we want to make sure every vote is counted. ray: as for how long the recount will take, it depends on who you ask. some say it could be done soon, others say it could be until tomorrow.

ray brewer, wmur news 9. sean: all right, ray, thanks. manchester police are looking mobil station on south willow street last night. police say a man wearing a black hoodie, gray sweat pants, mask, and baseball hat entered the demanded cash. he gestured like he had a weapon though he never showed one. , the robber was last seen driving away on weston road. if you have any information, you' re asked to call police. new this noon, police say a littleton man has been arrested and charged with his third dwi. this comes after state police responded to a crash on i-93 friday morning just before 11. they say witnesses reported seeing the driver, 35-year-old kenneth england, driving close to 90 miles per hour before crashing into the woods. england was thrown from the vehicle and treated for non-life threatening injuries and arrested. police in derry are investigating after a disabled couple says they were targeted by vandals several times. last wednesday the laughtons say someone put dog feces on their van.

paperwork at the state house. you can see it there. and hillary clinton is also in new hampshire today to officially file for the first in the nation primary. the former secretary of state is expected to sign the paperwork in just a few minutes at 12:30. after that, clinton will make stops in nashua and attend a town hall in windham. later this week, republicans ted cruz, rick santorum, lindsey graham, and rand paul are expected to officially file their paperwork in concord as well. meantime republican candidates , will face off again for another debate tomorrow night in milwaukee. ben carson and marco rubio are on the defensive, battling accusations over their pasts. and donald trump is getting mixed reviews after he hosted "saturday night live." abc' s megan hughes has details. megan: candidate ben carson' s firing back as his life story has been called into question. mr. carson: i sadly cannot sit still and watch unfairness.

vehicle in connection to the shooting. police say the shooting does not appear to have affected train service. today, friends and family will remember a 6-year-old boy who was killed by police in louisiana. jeremy mardis died last tuesday after city marshals fired into a vehicle driven by his father, chris few. few was seriously wounded. two officers face charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder in the case. they are being held on $1 million bond. take a look at this incredible scene caught on camera in mississippi. a massive sinkhole swallowed cars over the weekend at an ihop 15 parking lot. the hole is about 50 feet wide and 600 feet long. there are no reports of anyone being injured. it' s unclear what caused the massive hole to open up. it almost looks fake when you look at that video, but incredible. kevin: they have had a lot of rain down there the last two or three weeks. sean: seen that before. kevin: from here, looking at a beautiful afternoon, but clouds

sean: it has the fragrance. liz: and as that mixed in. and then we have some herbs. flat leaf parsley. and then i will add to that -- now we have some fresh rosemary. sean: a lot of good flavors. liz: oh, yes, this is delicious. the great thing about this, sean, is it goes on so many things. if you look at the dishes that i already have, we have chicken -- what do i do with this year to check in -- seared chicken? so it onto your pasta and now you have a completely different pasta dish. nice and easy, very fresh. i have green beans over here. look at the thanksgiving dinner. beans? maybe we don'
