an apt some police officer is back in custody tonight. kevin paul was released on parole in may. he was arrested in boston tonight. paul was wanted on charges out of new hampshire related to his suspected involvement in a burglary ring that stolen traded firearms. he served 17 years in prison for standing by gordon perry as he shot and killed and at some police officer back in 1997. shelley: in our other top story tonight, hillary clinton held three rallies in the granite state today after she officially filed for the new hampshire primary. the former secretary of state hosted at town hall at windham high school tonight and fielded questions from the route. mike cronin is there tonight with our commitment 2016 coverage. exmoor than 700 people showed up tonight at the high school is clinton covered a whole range of

shelley: mayor ted gatsas has prevailed, in a recount of votes cast in the mayoral election. the final results proved this to be an even tighter race, but in the end, the mayor says a win is a win, and he' s ready to lead the city for another two year term. the recount started at 9 a.m. monday morning. volunteers taking on the tedious process of counting 20,198 ballots by hand, undisputed ballots into boxes with candidates names. challenged ballots, forwarded to the board of recount. both candidates in manchester' s mayoral election, fully supportive of the process. >> it' s very important to my supporters that they understand where all the final numbers are so a recount was very necessary today. >> there' s always anticipation because anything can happen you know we sit here and we' re humbled by the voters that came out and i think it' s important that we just pay attention to what is happening and counting the votes. >> eight hours in manchester' s city clerk, was optimistic a new mayor would be named by day' s end.

of the way done, we have 4 wards left. we should be completed, i assume, by about 7 o' clock this evening. >> and it nearly 7:00 on the dot, the final recount numbers. >> alderman joyce craig received 10, 021 votes. mayor theodore l. gatsas received 10, 085 votes. shelley: a victorious mayor gatsas, who stayed in the room during the entire recount, said he was ready to get to work, >> -- get to work. >> as a matter of fact, in 10 minutes there' s a school board meeting. shelley: and even though the recount showed a slimmer margin of victory for the mayor, down to 64 from 85 votes between him and craig, gatsas says the recount was necessary. >> when you have more votes counted than you did ballots that were processed, that was a mistake by everyone in that first count and they shouldn' t have counted. shelley: joyce craig released a statement congratulating mayor gatsas, and thanking all the

volunteers who participated in the recount process. she was not available for an on camera interview this evening. tom: i went him woman who said she was raped by bill cosby is now suing the comedian for defamation. while wmur doesn' t typically identify alleged victims of sexual assault. kristina ruehli has shared her story publicly with us and other media. in a philadelphia magazine article she alleged that cosby drugged her and sexually assaulted her in 1965. ruehli is now suing cosby in federal court in massachusetts over a statement made through his attorney after that article. she says the statement called her and other accusers liars. more than 50 women have accused cosby of sexual assault. he has never been criminally charged and has denied all the allegations. we contacted mr. cosby' s spokesman for a comment and have gotten no response. shelley: a coyote alert went out

people are spotting more of them while on routine patrols. jean mackin has the story from merrimack. >> police here in merrimack issued a coyote alert when people reported an increase in activity. police say it is not limited to just one part of town. they are putting out the coyote alert after taking calls about missing pets in a neighborhood in the northwest section of town. >> we' ve had more of an abundance of calls about coyotes in the area. people missing cats, small dogs. >> or woman living around french court cold police her small dog was taken two months ago and said since then she has seen more and more coyotes. her friend even reported finding pet collars in the woods. wayne colette says wildlife or at home around here there it the

call manchester police. >> key developments -- key zoning changes in the balsams redevelopment project have been approved. three zoning changes were approved, including one that creates a new resort district in the area of the resort and surrounding recreation areas. a spokesperson said work could be finished within 18 months. a new lift has arrived at a ski area in maine, replacing one that started rolling backwards this year. seven skiers were hurt and others had to be arrested at sugarloaf from the king pine live. the new lift will have a redesigned gearbox and technology to prevent rollbacks. officials say they expect to have that new lift assembled in the next few days.

e. coli outbreak related to chipotle restaurants in the pacific northwest. washington state health officials say they found no source for the outbreak. all tests of food in washington and oregon have come back negative for the bacteria. chipotle also get its own and those results came back negative. restaurants in the two states will be allowed to reopen after meeting certain cleanliness conditions. tom: major changes coming to see world in california. new plans for the amusement park after drops its controversial whale show. shelley: a new success in the of servicemen killed in the bombing of pearl harbor. my: changes are on the way. forecast ahead. tom cole and playing ball with

>> after years of controversy in protest, see world is ending its current killer whale show in san diego next year. >> we will launch an all new orca experience. >> in an online announcement to investors, ceo joel manby said the orcas though will remain on-site. and he did not reveal many details about what this new experience will entail. >> it' s going to be focused more on the natural setting. natural environment. and also the natural behaviors of the whale. >> attendance at the theme parks has dropped following the scathing documentary, blackfish, and the boycotts that followed. >> sometimes this aggression became very severe. in fact, whales have died in captivity. >> just last week a california congressman also introduced a federal bill to ban captivity of killer whales. >> we would essentially phase out the captivity orcas that are currently in these water parks. >> last year sea world unveiled plans to build larger killer whale enclosures at its theme parks. now, it appears to be overhauling its brand, focusing less on tricks. and more on conservation.

action. >> look at why we have to be here in the first place. shelley: missouri' said the resignation was a necessary step toward healing. the football coach announced his team will resume practice tomorrow. tom cole and the military has identified the remains of seven of the uss oklahoma servicemen harbor. they have been considered missing since 1941. over the summer, the military started exhuming the reins of over 400 sailors and marines. they were very in a veterans cemetery nys unknowns. the military says it started the project is advances in technology are improving the ability to identify remains. russia could find itself shut out of track and field events annexed year' s olympics. a report from a world anti-doping agency panel accuses

doping and says the russian government knew about it. the head of russia' s medical agency calls the report politically motivated. the report recommends the international olympic committee suspend russia from competition. shelley: the sun was right. i ball about my son a little too much, it was cold out this morning. >> it' s one of those times where you have to do it early that around 3:00, you are like, what my doing with all these close on? we started off at newfound lake with sunshine and a few high clouds did drift in during the course of the afternoon. it was fairly nice during the good part of the day after that chilly start. during the afternoon, a few high wispy clouds were in advance of the next system we' re tracking. but it sits well to the south and night so it is mostly clear. despite a gentle wind from the

hampshire, it' s fairly light and because of that temperatures can tumble quite a bit. already down below freezing in places like plymouth, the upper valley, a good portion of the monadnock region, all the way into the great north woods for more broth i morning. down to freezing in concord and a little but that in nashua. 40' s in manchester and over toward the court -- toward the coast. then we track the next system that will bring some needed brain in here, but not during the morning hours and probably well. the initial surge of moisture will be pushed off to the east. we have to wait until the upper-level system gets close happen until late in the earliest. backing off on the timing of the rain just a little bit.

high clouds will increase tomorrow filtering the sun but it is a dry day and then light rain develops during the early to mid part of the evening and becomes a little heavier from the lakes region and points the rain struggles to reach the north country but we may see some showers during the late part of the night into wednesday in the gradual improvement later in the afternoon, becoming a little breezy and temperatures cooler than we will see tomorrow. tomorrow' s highs running a little above average once again. upper village is to around 60 south except at the coast where it will be a little bit cooler. sky cast over manchester, a nice-looking tuesday. here comes that vigor cloud cover with some occasional rain and notice the winds begin to pick up a little bit out of the northeast, which is an important wind direction for keeping us cool.

60 mile-per-hour winds associated with tropical storm kate which the pass harmlessly out to sea in between the carolinas and bermuda tuesday night into early on wednesday. we are back in the mid-50' s on average tomorrow, son followed by increasing clouds. the day should be mostly dry, rain develops tomorrow night, on and off light rain into wednesday morning and then the arsenal clearing toward sundown but a good part of veterans day will be breezy and chilly. a couple of mixed showers up north, a sign of the season we are moving towards. tom: we will be missing a good patriot coming up over the next few weeks. >> tough break for dion lewis, the running back.

an mri confirmed what we all feared today. lewis has become a huge part of new england' s running game and passing game quickly becoming one of tom brady' s favorite targets out of the backfield. the southern new hampshire university men' s soccer team gathered at the student center to watch the ncaa selection show. they won their fourth straight conference championship on sunday. they are 17-1, the third ranked team in the country. they will host the each region turned this week. they will make their eight straight appearance, the longest active streak in division ii. southern new hampshire will play saturday at 1:00 against either merrimack or lemoine. >> it' s an honor to represent her school and get invited to the national term in every year. the goal every year to get into the national tournament. we will get a good read on them and whoever it is will be a

still not good enough to get them back into the national picture. jacksonville state still the top team in the country. richmond, william & mary, and james madison are the only caa teams ranked. dartmouth still hanging in there number 23. week number 11 of her friday night football report. this week were talking about the state semifinals, meaning on 12 teams are still standing. the bears have a dynamic offense along with a very tough defense while the lakers scored over 40 points and seven of their nine games this year. the two teams not meet during the regular season. so both sides looking forward to getting after it on saturday. there are semifinals in division ii and division i as well.

>> a young cancer survivor from massachusetts managed to surprise tom brady this weekend. shelley: the make-a-wish foundation granted six-year-old great -- gabriel' s wish this weekend when he got to play football with rating at foxboro. afterwards, gabriel caught brady by surprise when he handed tom brady a thank you card with $10 inside. brady didn' t take the money but ask for a hug instead. >> in the mail, someone gave that to me to do something good, so me and my mom thought we would give it to him. so he can do something good. shelley: it was part of his mission to pay it forward. he' s asking people to do something nice each year on november 3, that' s the day he was diagnosed with lukemia.
