that've tarmey died last month from an overdose of fentanyl and outlined the charges in the case. ray brewer is live outside. all three suspects are set to face a judge. ray? ray: eve tarmey died october 17th, found dead inside a of hotel room. investigators say she overdosed on a dose of fentanyl. now the three people who are accused in the death are scheduled to be arraigned. police say eve was staying at the hotel with her mother, jazzmin rood and mark ross. ross and ax berle is charger with distensing a controlled drug. ross was behind bars on unrelated charges. this has hit people hard at spaulding high school.

still surveys in recent years have shown an increasing number of children with autism. the federal government wants to ban smoking in all public housing nationwide both inside and within 25 feet of a building outside. lighting up is banned in the subsidizing housing. they want to expand that. the nationwide ban could save about $153 million in health care costs, repairs, and preventible fires. sean: it took a lot of work but paving is now complete along main street in downtown concord. the transfovmation of the area has been tough for some local businesses because streets were closed. ultimately north main street should be more inviting to visitors with new lighting and wilder sidewalks. the first drive is scheduled for this afternoon. for the first time since 2011, winter

welcome centers already open. the new state budget including funding for a pilot project to re-open the centers in colebrook, lebanon, and littleton. officials will report the traffic to see how much use they actually get. and speaking of winter, the city of rochester is getting more than $140,000 in reimbursement from fema to cover some of the costs from the powerful nor'easter that hit the area back in late january. you remember that one. the money covers the cost to clear roads, parking lots, and rooftops as well. erin: gold is always popular. demand in the u.s. is going through the roof. the demand for coins and bars has jumped more than 200%. sales of the eagle coins are the highest level in more than five years. they point to the current price along with the uncertainty on wall

of the great lakes for that to be producing some light snow early morning. it will be all in liquid form today. temperatures in the 40's and eventually in most locations getting up into the 50's. you'll notice on top of mt. washington this morning, tank there below the freezing mark. that's at 6,000 feet. those levels will start to lower gradually later on this afternoon and into tonight. as i mention, the west wind out there -- this will become more busy through the databussing at times. that wind remains in tact through a good part of the weekend. it will be out of the west and out of the northwest tomorrow into sunday. tomorrow is a lesser or greater version than sunday. today we'll have a few gusts over 15-20 miles per hour. that's where your more persistent shower activity will be. south and eastern areas looks like quite a bit

not a one-size-fits-all scenario. we had a few of those. certainly not today. couple of rain showers still leftover. you start to see some of the higher elevations changing over. overnight tonight, the light snow around. looks like the opportunity is through. then the clouds there should start to give way except for a couple of mountain flurries. the breeze will be brisk tomorrow. looks like after a cold start on sunday, the breeze hangs on with sunshine around for the day on sunday. from there, warming trend for next week. we're not staying in the 40's for highs for too long. today we're back into the 50's with sunshine in south and eastern areas. it will be a mild day with a breeze which turns northwest changing over rain showers to snow showers early tomorrow morning. a light accumulation. bright and breezy conditions for sunday. you'll notice the first half of next week. temperatures up into the 50's above the average. good deal of sunshine. lows even above freezing

through the middle of next week. erin: that's nice. we want to check in with ray brewer. ray: three people scheduled to be arraigned today in connection with the death of rochester teen that overdosed. among the three is jazzmyn rood, the teen's mother and the mother's boyfriend, mark ross both charged in dispensing a drug that resulted in death. 17-year-old eve tarmey was found dead in a motel room in rochester on back on october 17th. erin: exeter police are looking for the man in the surveillance picture. he robbed the walgreens pharmacy last night. a former seabrook police officer have been sentenced to 21 days in jail. mark richardson pleaded guilty after he was shown slamming a man

students and staff at rochester high school where she was a senior say something needs to change. >> it is hard for the students. it impacts them a lot, you know what i mean? ray: on october 17th, 17-year-old eve tarmey was found dead of a drug overdose in rochester. >> there's been a lot of mourning. a lot of people are getting more serious about drug addictions in the school. ing. ray: three people are under arrest accused of contributing, including her mother, 41-year-old jazzmyn rood subpoena she was charged with conspiracy to possession a controlled drug and endangering the welfare of the child. >> the fact that it is the mother of the victim makes it more disturbing to me. : the other two suspects are facing charges including dispensing a controlled drug resulting in death. investigators say eve was staying at the motel

49-year-old charles hanson has worked as a chef for 11 years. he was arrested yesterday following a lengthy investigation. hanson tried to deliver a large amount of drugs to inmates. >> he was arrested and charged with delivery of articles to prisoners. the drugs -- the controlled drugs he brought inside had a prison value of more than $67,000. erin: if convicted, hanson could be sentenced to three and a half to seven years in prison. police say the investigation is ongoing. more arrests may be forthcoming. sean: an alstead woman that is struggling with stage four lung cancer asked a judge to allow her to get a medical marijuana id card before the states dispensaries open. they ask for more proof that she would be able to get medical marijuana in a different state if she gets a card. the law in new hampshire prevents the department from handing out the cards until a registered treatment center opens here.

>> it is intended to be a very structured system. they want to be able to track where the cannabis is coming from, who it is going to, and to ensure the patients that receive it get a high quality product. >> there's no question whatsoever that if she has a card tomorrow she could go to maine and get the medicine that legislature and the maine legislature have authorized her to use. sean: the maine department says people from out of state can get medical marijuana from the dispensaries, but they need to have an id card from their home state. erin: manchester police are trying to track down an attempted robber. the man walked in at 5:70 elm street and told the clerk he had a weapon. the clerk chased the robber out of the store. he was wearing a dark colored hoody with the white emblem. a salem man is accused of stealing wallets, jewelry, and other items from people at hampton

beach. the thefts happened in august. 20-year-old ronald brillon and another man items. he was arrested last week on charges of theft property. the other suspect, brandon strike viger, september. sean: people were forced from their homes due to a fire. the fire started shortly before 6:30 in a clothes drier at an apartment building on charles street. they found the drier burning inside a closet in a second floor apartment. no one was hurt. the building sustained considerable smoke and water damage. erin: the fifth annual police awarder is menny was held yesterday. the event honors men and women for the service to the state. mr. awards are given out.

few showers. leading edge of cooler air that starts driving in later tonight. we'll talk about who sees snow flakes this week and how cold the temperatures will be coming up. sean: thanks. this morning we're waiting word about the fate of jihadi john. this is after the pentagon launched an airstrike against the figure. he was the man who was seen in the execution videos of several people, including two with ties to new hampshire. james foley and steven sotloff were executed by him. an update on the effort to bring the man down. good morning. erin: good morning. the pentagon is assessing the results of the operation against jihadi john. according to the officials, he was targeted in a strike. the british citizen spoke with an english accent. she was featured in videos that depicted the murders of several

americans including james foley, steven sotloff, also two british aide workers and a japanese. they hope to provide more information later sean: all right. washington. james foley's parents issues a statement to abc news saying quote the huge effort to go after the deranged man filled with hate when they can't make half of the effort to save the hostages while these young americans were still alive. it is unfortunate the government doesn't get it. they think it gives us solace. it doesn't. erin: federal authorities are investigating a discerning situation. more than 20 airplane were targeted by lasers from the ground wednesday night. it was reported in several states, including new york as well as in puerto rico and canada. pointing a laser at an aircraft is a federal crime.

jack, stay away from rhode island, shut your mouth, and leave us alone. sean: no word on when the documentary will be released. erin: an 8-year-old boy is suffering from paralysis in his legs due to being bullied at school. >> my legs feel funny. then i couldn't really walk on them. erin: experts say he's suffering from something called conversion disorder. internalizing the stress of being bullied caused him to have physical symptoms, including paralysis and loss to peripheral vision. they are helping him by teaching him how that talk about his feelings. sean: 20% of american workers do take lunch break. among the people that stop, 40% stay at their desks to eat. some workers skip lunch to look for productive.

do cross fit if you didn't believe in yourself. sean: she hopes to compete in the cross fit games when she's 14. it is the olympics of cross fit. girl. that's tough stuff. erin: she's probably in the gym all the time with the family. may as well try it out. she's doing well. kevin: i'm not going to mess with her. sean: you are fit and crossed. kevin: i'm always crossed. that goes without saying. we start off this morning with what looks like a pretty quiet start to the day. we have the fair skies this morning. we're going to continue to build through the day today. you'll notice this morning we have the partly cloudy sky across the area. things looking pretty good otherwise. a little bit of patchy fog and cooler air diving in. eventually today we'll see temperatures back up into the 50's. that's out ahead of the front that's back to the north and west. that will move in across northern areas with scattered shower activity today. we'll be farther removed

from that. we can't rule out a couple of passing sprinkles. mid to late afternoon, the front goes through without much fanfare for southern areas. there will be a westerly wind. that will start to turn northwesterly later tonight. you can see through the great lakes what is it is doing as the cooler air starts to arrive. we're talking temperatures later on dipping back into the 20's and 30's. some of the shower rain activity lingers through the white mountains and starts to change over to some wet snow especially as you get up in elevation. event in spots through about anywhere, you could see a light coating to an inch of snow. temperatures in the 40's for the most part this morning. we're going to jump up into the 50's in most locations today. there are a couple of higher elevations and higher hill tops up above 50 degrees holding there. a few of the hold outs are the areas in the upper 40's and lower 30's. the cooler air arrives.

high temperatures in the mid to upper 40's. for the rest of us, we're up into the 50's. west wind fairly busy through the afternoon. 15-20 miles an hour. maybe even a few higher gusts as well. it comes with a blend of sunshine and clouds for southern areas of the state. the farther north you go, the clouds winning out and occasional showers. shouldn't be an all day rain. the showers will be out there from time to time. then the temperatures start to cool off later on this evening. we get later into the evening and you'll notice the green here starting to switch over to wet snow as temperatures continue to cool off. the snow levels continue to come down from the urn 6,000 feet to 1,000 to 2,000 feet later on tonight. then tomorrow, we're talking temperatures up into the 40's. that will come with a north west wind which will be gusting through the afternoon over 15-20 miles an hour. still a noticeable breeze. it should be brighter. mostly sunny skies. temperatures will be

making their way back entomb the ho's to lower range of the 50's. as the system moves away, next system moving in now across the pacific northwest. it doesn't arrive until five, six, or seven days from now. that's going to lead us to a mod rating trend. today we're up into the 50's statewide. sunshine up north. then tonight we start to fall back mixed to snow shower activity up north with clearing skies in southern areas. the extended forecast shows the bright and breezy conditions around for sunday. then the winds lighten and temperatures start warming up. low to mid 50's. mid to upper 50's wednesday and thursday. looks like the next system tries to arrive thursday or friday with the front coming through. above normal temperatures through most of next week. erin: interesting. some people are starting to thinking about the ski season. if you need some ski equipment, you may want to head up to jackson this weekend.
