last month from an overdose of fentanyl and outlined charges in the case. ray brewer is live where all three suspects are set to face a judge, ray. ray: the spaulding senior high school girl was found dead inside the room at the riviera motel on october 17th. now they say toxicology reports say she died from a fentanyl overdose. she was staying at the room at time with jazzmyn rood and mark ross. rood is charged with conspiracy to possession a controlled drug and endangering the welfare of a child. ross and aberle charged with dispensing of a controlled drug that caused a death. the case has hit many people hard, especially at spaulding high school. >> if you look at the data, rochester is one of the hot spots in new hampshire. that's unfortunate. we need to focus and help students and the community understand

american, you are going to be brought to justice in some fashion. reporter: in a statement, the parents said the airstrike was of small solace. >> the effort to go after a deranged man but they can't make half of the effort while they are arrive. reporter: the pentagon is working to confirm he was killed by the u.s. airstrike. from what they saw, they believe heisted. the vehicle burst into flames and one official says jihadi john essentially evaporateed. erin: exeter police are looking for the man that stole prescription pills from the pharmacy. officers say the man in the picture handed the pharmacist a note just before 7:00 last night but never showed a weapon before getting away with the drugs. a korn ire man accused of assaulting three people is due in court today.

joshua colby is charged. sean: a former sue brook officer has been sentenced to 21 days in jail. mark richardson pleaded guilty to assaulting a prison after surveillance video showed him slamming a man into the wall. he said he wants to move on with his life. the judge says the actions undermine the trust that the public needs to have in law enforcement. the man who admits to handing out fliers for the kkk in vermont including delivering them to a black woman and hispanic woman is due in court. they charged william schneck with a hate crime. the officials say his actions were not protected by free speech but instead intended to threaten. erin: the number of names officially on new hampshire's presidential primary ballot continues to grow. they will file his paperwork in concord and hold a town hall in portsmouth. jeb bush is holding a town hall in franklin this morning.

john kasich has town halls planned in hudson and laconia. the first round of results are available for the new smart ambulance -- balance assessment. 46% of students met or exceeded math standards and 58% met or exceeded requirements. this is the state's first year giving this exam which replaced the new england common assessment program. sean: still to come on friday, making sure all veterans get the recognition they deserve. a local nurse helped one man who couldn't leave the hospital. erin: a local runner is getting ready to take on the best. he's trying to keep his goals modest.

erin: the centers for disease control say the number of kids in the u.s. with autism appears to be growing. according in a new estimate, one in 45 children have some sort of autism. that's just one of three numbers they use to establish the estimates. the most recent number is one in 68. surveys have shown an increasing number of children with autism. the federal government wants to ban smoking at all of the buildings. hud wants to extend it to one million moreouts around the country. the nationwide ban would save $153 million in health care costs, fires. sean: paving is now complete along main street in downtown the transformation of the area has been tough businesses because

on and off there. ultimately north main street should be more inviting to visitors with new lighting and wider sidewalks. the first drive is scheduled for this afternoon. for the first time since 2011, winter welcome centers will open in new hampshire. the new state budget including funding for a pilot project to re-open the centers in littleton. they will open on december 17th. officials will record the traffic to see how many use they get. speaking of winter, city of rochester is getting more than $140,000 in reimbursement from fema to cover some of the costs from the powerful nor'easter that hit the area in late january. the money covers the cost of clearing roads, parking lots, and rooftops as well. erin: gold is popular. demand in the u.s. is going through the roof.

likely that's a possibility for areas north of the notches later on tonight. area up in terrain. for the rest of us, we're looking at a back and forth between clouds and sunshine today. the westerly wind pushing temperatures up into the 50's. we're starting in the 40's across the area. we get up into the 50's. you'll notice the 28 with the winds picking up. that's a preview of the cooler air that gets down to where most of us live below 5,000 feet into the afternoon and tonight as the cooler air rushes in. the timing of that is over the weekend with a northwesterly breeze. we should be in the 40's tomorrow. a couple of northern spots may not get out of afternoon. it will be in the 40's again on sunday as the winds start to lighten up. high temperatures from either side of 50 and maybe near the freezing mark. as high as 58 in portsmouth later on. we're looking at a day today where we're going to have the wind. the wind is going to

teen's death. all three suspects are expected to appear in court today. ray: good morning. that will happen later this morning. there's been eight fatal overdoses in the city this year. eve tarmey was the youngest. students and staff where've was a senior say something has to hang. ray: eve tarmey was found dead of an overdose. >> a lot of people are getting more serious about drug addictions in the school. ray: three people are under arrest, including her mother, 41-year-old jazzmyn rood. rood was charged with conspiracy to possession a controlled drug, reckless conduct, and endangering the welfare of a child. >> the fact it is the

ray: eve tarmey's mother is being held. all three scheduled to be arraigned later today. reporting live, ray brewer, wmur news 9. erin: all right. thank you. northern new hampshire correctional facility in berlin is accused of bringing drugs into the prison. charles hanson worked as a chef for 11 years. he was arrested following a lengthy investigation. hanson tried to deliver a large amount of drugs to inmates. >> he was arrested and charged with delivery of articles to prisoner, the drugs -- the controlled drugs that he brought inside had a prison value of more than $67,000. erin: if convicted, hanson could be sentenced to three and a half to seven years in prison. the investigation is ongoing and more arrests may be forthcoming.

sean: an alstead woman struggling with lung cancer asked a judge to allow her to have a marijuana id card. they asked for proof she would be able to get medical marijuana in a different state. the law in new hampshire prevents the department from handing out the cards until a registered treatment center opens here. >> it is intend to be a structured system. they want to be able to track where the cannabis is coming from, who it is going to, and to ensure the patients who receive it get a high-quality product. >> there's no question whatsoever, none, not the slightest if she has a card tomorrow she could go to maine and get the medicine that this legislature and the maine legislature have authorized her to use. sean: the maine department of health and human services says people from out of state can get medical marijuana from the dispensaries, but they need to have an id card. erin: manchester police are trying to track down an attempted robber. a man walked into the

before 8:00 last night and told the clerk he had a weapon. the clerk chased the robber out of the store. he was wearing a dark colored hoody on the right side of his chest. a salem man is accused of steeling wallets and jewelry. the thefts happened in august. 20-year-old ronald brillon and another man stole more than $50,000 worth of items. brillon was arrested last week on charges of theft and receiving stolen property. the other suspect was arrested in september. sean: some people in nashua were forced from their homes due to a fire. the fire started shortly before 6:30 in a clothes drier. when crews arrived, they found the fire burning inside the closet. no one was hurt. the building sustained considerable smoke and water damage.

erin: the state police award ceremony was held in concord yesterday. this event honors men and women for their service to the state. colonel robert quinn says many awards are given out. this year one stood out in particular. james geraghty received a leadership award. >> his leadership is as strong as if he was at his desk. he's just tending to his treatment. erin: colonel quinn says they will be delivering that reward to lieutenant geraghty soon. sean: a boy is suffering paralysis due to the stress of being bullied at school. erin: one young girl is competing in cross fit with people twice her size. kevin: one more day in the 50's before we cool down for the weekend. all of the details and temperatures we can

more than 20 aircrafts were targeted by lasers. it is in new york as well as puerto rico and canada. the u.s. has seen a dramatic spike this year. as of october, there already more than 5,000 reports of aircraft being targeted by lasers. last year there were less than 3,900 reports. sean: some of the survivors and families of the killed in the station nightclub fire 12 years ago are outraged. the singer, whose band started the deadly fire, is launching a new documentary. 100 people were killed and 200 others injured when the band great white used pyrotechnics that caught fire. in the recent radio interview, he says she's making a documentary about his life and the fire will be part of it. that idea. >> it is going to give me a chance to, you know, to apologize. and say how i feel about it.

to a whole new level. brooklyn is becoming a cross fit super star. she trains every week with her father who is also her coach. >> you have to believe that you can lift. there's no way that you could do cross fit if you didn't believe in yourself. isn't brooklynn hopes to concompete when she's 14. it isp the olympics of cross fit. the bars are 45 pounds. erin: she's training early. he's eight. she can't compete until she's 14. kevin: up front. right off of the bat. hitting the ground running there. we start off early this morning with the clouds out there in the north country. i think by this time tomorrow morning the north country in the form of snow shower activity. for federal and southern areas, good deal of sunshine around this morning. we're going to continue to add clouds through the day. a back and forth sky through the afternoon with the wind out of the west pushing temperatures which start

the day in the 40's up into the 50's this afternoon. one last day of that before temperatures start tumbling starting tonight and cannot that way through the weekend. shower activity trying to survive the trip over the green mountains does so for the north country and maybe a few north western areas as far south. beyond that, that's the cloudy skies that we'll have in northern and western areas and the clearer skies we have in south eastern spots. you'll notice the cooler air as it arrives turns the rain shower activity over to mixed showers or light snow. this is the air mass that will be building in later on tonight. what starts as scattered rain shower activity anywhere from the white mountains northward likely changes over to some mixed showers depending on the elevation and wet snow overnight tonight. temperatures are in the 40's. even a couple of areas right around 50 in areas of elevation. we're going to see temperatures climb into the 50's today thanks to a drying and warming wind out of the west.

later on tonight. it won't feel so subtle by tomorrow morning. the presidents drop back into the 30's. highs tomorrow in the 40's. another day where temperatures go back to either side of 50 up north. we'll get back to the numbers looks like by tuesday or wednesday of next week. you'll notice in the south eastern half of the state kind of a back and forth between clouds, sunshine, and there might be a sprinkle. you can see the occasional shower activity through the afternoon before any sort of rain shower activity switches over with lows dropping back into the upper 20's. overnight lows liking getting back into the mid 30's before sunshine sends temperature back into the 40's. there will be a brisk wind. tomorrow will be a couple of gusts over 20 to 25 miles an hour. it will be breezy on sunday. it should be with quite a bit more sunshine. really no rain chances
