hayley: nice november weather continues on. re expecting rain to return along with cold temperatures ahead. >> we all miss you and we all love you. and everyone is praying for him. stephanie: authorities are suspending the search for a missing plymouth state student, but friends and family aren' t giving up hope. >> no one covers new hampshire like we do. now, wmur news 9 at 6:00. stephanie: right now, french police are searching for suspect in the paris terror attacks. and the country is launching airstrikes on isis in syria. good evening. i' m stephanie woods. adam: and i' m adam sexton. crowds in paris ran for safety today when they mistook fireworks for gunshots. abc' s marci gonzalez is back at the scene in paris after being evacuated. marci: good evening. the all-clear given after some very tense moments here in paris outside of this theater where nearly 90 people were killed. we were getting ready to do a

live shot earlier today when police came up urgently telling us we needed to leave the area. they didn' t give us an explanation, they just told us we had to go now. and it was scenes like this that we saw in other parts of paris as well. pure panic, either fireworks or other false alarms sent people running into the streets. at a memorial a few blocks away from here, people who were paying respects to victims of friday' s attacks ended up running over makeshift memorial s that have been set up over the past couple of days. police finally revealed there was no shooting, there was no threat, but the reaction that we saw here in paris is just evidence of how on edge people here still feel. marci gonzalez, abc news, paris. stephanie: close to home, people in nashua held a vigil for victims of the attacks. dozens came together to pray for everyone affected by the terrorism. wmur' s mike cronin joins us live

mike: the visual was -- the vigil was here where it is french renewal. dozens gathered to reflect on the deadly attacks in paris. it was organized by a city alderman elect. french national anthem. we talked to one man from france who said people there are randomness of the attacks. he said vigils like this need to continue to happen and global response will be needed. >> so many people around the world are stating "vive le france." it is nice. >> i wanted our community to have a voice. mike: nashua will continue to remember the victims of france the french flag outside the hall.

adam: there are now major concerns about public safety anywhere there are crowds. happening today. security is tighter than ususal today at metlife stadium in new jersey where the patriots are playing the giants right now. the nfl released a statement saying all nfl clubs must use metal detector screenings and multiple layers of perimeter security around stadiums. large numbers, you have to be concerned what else is gonna happen next. that' s what terrorists do. they get into your head. adam: new jersey state police say there is no credible threat manchester' s verizon wireless arena says it' s been in contact with local and state police and will be under heightened awareness with law enforcement in place as normal. stephanie: tonight, the search continues for 23-year-old jake nawn, a missing plymouth state university student. police, fish and game, and the new england k-9 search and rescue called off their efforts for now, but friends are still looking. wmur' s kristen carosa spoke with

kristen: it' s been almost 72 hours since jake went missing. s becoming scarier for his family and friends. but they say they aren' t losing hope. >> we all miss you, and we all love you. everyone is praying for him. s mom and stepdad are pleading for him to say something to someone. >> we are just worried. all i can say is, jake, if you see this, call us and let us know where you are. kristen: jake is a plymouth state university student from massachusetts. he was last seen thursday by the common man inn. and he doesn' t have a cell phone. >> i understand that you may not want to be found, but let somebody know that you are here and that you are alive and you are with us. out searching with k-9' haven' t found anything. don'

it has been covered so well. kristen: the search has been suspended for now so that crews can rest, but jake' s friends aren' t stopping. >> we are not giving up. this is our best friend, he' s family. >> we just want him home. we just really, really want him home. kristen: brianna coykendall has barely slept but continues to walk through woods, armed with a map, looking for her friend. >> he had a very rough week last week. he was a little emotionally unstable and we think he just wanted to get away. he wanted to be alone. kristen: but the message to jake no matter what he' s going through. >> just in three days, the has never met him, have come together just for him. >> dig down deep, jake, and realize that you are loved and that you need to tell somebody where you are at. just tell us you are still here. kristen: jake'

s mom is asking people living in plymouth to check outdoor sheds and storage spaces. she says jake might be looking for shelter. reporting live, kristen carosa, wmur news 9. adam: thank you. a very emotional story. turning to weather, a little warmer outside today. it was nice. stephanie: you' re taking a live look in manchester where it is 51 degrees. meteorologist hayley lapoint is here. hayley: lots of sunshine, just a few fair weather clouds. temperatures were somewhat comfortable. we reached the 50' s. cooler up north, 46 in wakefield. the average high for this time in november, 49. 50 is a good thing if you like the milder air. the winds have greatly diminished. today, that was noticeable. just five miles an hour sustained in national and manchester. a few passing clouds at the moment. tonight, we should clear out in

central and southern new hampshire. temperatures around where we were today. how about the rest of the week? i will have a full forecast in a few minutes. adam: keene police are looking for a thief who stole a donation jar full of money intended for a local 7-year-old girl who lives with disabilities. kira danser has spinal muscular atrophy type 2. her mom has a donation jar out at her workplace, the beaver street market in keene. yesterday a young woman stole , the jar, making off with 20 to $30 in change. >> i was very upset, obviously, because it' s morally wrong. how do you steal from a child, and especially how do you steal from a child with physical needs? adam: the theft suspect is described as a young woman, very skinny with darker skin, short brown hair, wearing a blue hoodie and a blue and grey red sox hat. anyone with information is asked to call police. i got to meet her today. she is a wonderful young lady. money back. stephanie: still to come on news 9 at 6:00.

a new ski jump in plymouth after an historic one was torn down due to safety concerns. how the community is coming together to build it. adam: and as the weather cools down, heating bills go up. how you can get help covering the costs this winter. hayley: it does not feel like winter yet. we still have lots of sunshine.

stephanie: starting monday, granite staters in need will get a helping hand with their heating bills. adam: the new hampshire fuel assistance program helps vulnerable new hampshire families and seniors heat their homes. eligible families have an annual income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guideline and could receive about $650 a year. the program served 35,000 households last year. stephanie: two democratic executive councilors say new hampshire can build a passenger rail from boston to manchester for less than $5 million a year in state money.

and cost the state $72 million in total. but the proposal also depends on $162 million in private investments, massachusetts money, and federal funds. executive councilors colin van ostern and chris pappas say the new train route will create jobs and boost economic growth. adam: a new ski jump is being -- under construction at plymouth regional high school. the old jump, which was built in 1979, was torn down due to safety concerns. but the community came together to build a new one, and it' s set to be complete by thanksgiving. a community work day was held on saturday. more than 40 people came to help. >> we had about 20 contractors that gave up their day to work and an additional 20 people who had very good construction skills. adam: a fundraiser is scheduled for monday night at the flying monkey in plymouth. world champion and olympic ski jumper sarah hendrickson is expected to attend. who knows when they will get the

stephanie: we are learning more about one of the suspects in the paris terror attacks. investigators released this picture of 26-year-old french national salah abdeslam. they say he' s armed and dangerous. he was born in brussels where police made several arrests in connection to the attacks earlier today. police say they have arrested seven people so far. >> now, meteorologist hayley lapoint and your forecast. hayley: we do have passing clouds overhead. it will be a quiet night ahead of us. it has been dry almost all weekend. it was not a bad weekend. felt chilly on saturday, a little better today considering the fact the winds had diminished today and temperatures were a few degrees warmer. look at where most of us got to date come into the 50' s. 56 in amherst, one of the warmest spots in the state.

the average high for this time in november is 49. we were well above that in a lot of southern communities. here is where we stand now. 44 in fremont. auburn, 47. already in the 40' s in the monadnock region. the london at 44 degrees. in the lakes region, everybody falling into the 40' s now as well. 42 in ashland. up to the north, already 30' s. mid-30' s in pittsburgh and stewartstown. it is going to continue to get chilly in those reaches of the state overnight tonight. the main jogger behind the cool temperatures tonight will be the clouds. where we clear out and stay clear the longest, that is were temperatures will get the coldest. that could be in the northern part of the state, although the clouds should return. these thicker clouds over central and southern new hampshire are on their way out. we will likely have clearing across most of the area

overnight. that will result in cool temperatures once we get to daybreak early tomorrow morning. here is the setup we have and everything in play for our weather over the next couple of days. the jet stream is the steering engine of any storm systems. it is planted on top of us. it is also the boundary between cold air to the north and milder air to the south. the jet stream is going to get a little kink to it and move north over the next couple of days. that will result in no storms for us. high pressure will build in with milder air starting to get into the area. tonight, passing clouds, especially north. by daybreak tomorrow, most of us will be sunny. a few stubborn clouds in the great north woods. those will clear out for everyone tomorrow afternoon. it looks good, lots of sunshine. another nice november day. we will follow that up tuesday with another nice one, mostly sunny. a couple of degrees cooler tuesday compared to today and tomorrow.

tonight, 20' s up north. 30' s in concord and manchester. tomorrow, mostly sunny skies and temperatures that will start out in the 30' s in most locations but climb through the day into the 50' s. for the bus stop forecast, it looks good. definitely need the foggier -- fall gear. temperatures in the 50' s will feel comfortable for sports. rain showers for thursday, early friday. next weekend, it gets cooler. highs back in the 40' s. adam: still cannot ask for better football weather. stephanie: it looks nice outside. the patriots in danger of losing the perfect record. jason: they are struggling. the pats had the late afternoon start in new jersey today, taking on the new york giants. new england looking to improve to 9-0. right now, they are trailing.
