it is also a serious problem up north. erin: nearly 300 people have died of drug overdoses so far this year in the granite state. seven of those have been in berlin. ray brewer is here with a couple -- closer look. ray: more than 250 people packed the cafeteria of berlin high school for a forum called "facing heroin." berlin high school' s heroin use rate is 95% higher than the state average. they say the city lacks the resources to fight the epidemic. organizers of last night' s event say the goal is to increase prevention efforts, treatment, and recovery options. there is a new chemical-free prevention program aimed at keeping kids away from drugs at the high school. >> we are not sure we are

major impact in those numbers this round, but we are committed to doing whatever we can to make a difference so that those numbers do go down. ray: the berlin police chief says burglaries in the city are up more than 80% more than -- from a year ago. the chief is blaming much of that on the drug problem. sean: ray, thanks. state lawmakers have created a special bipartisan task force to focus on fast tracking bills dealing with the heroin crisis. the task force will spend the next six weeks looking at and writing initiatives. those will focus on treatment, drug courts, and could be passed into law as soon as january. narcan is used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. a nasal spray version of the

cost of the injectable version. they say it delivers the same dose with a fraction of the liquid. erin: investigators in paris say s deadly attacks was not arrested during a raid yesterday, but they cannot rule out that he is dead. kenneth moton reports. kenneth: the investigation continues in france today. here at home, there is no accountable -- credible threat, but counterterrorism forces are working with police across the nation. >> that is what terrorists seek to do. they seek to create fear. kenneth: new york city police on alert, guns out, highly visible after isis released this new video bragging about the paris terror attacks showing images of nyc.

the vehicle turned -- burst into flames. lowe ran off, leaving a passenger behind with serious injuries. speed and alcohol were factors in the crash. erin: four men face charges after an armed home invasion in rochester. they entered an apartment on academy street on tuesday night. two people inside were forced to the floor and robbed. one victim says a gun was put to his head. the four men were later arrested. a man who escaped from police and failed to show up in court is back in custody. mark george was first arrested last year in connection with a burglary in kingston, but climbed out a window of the police station. he never showed up to court. u.s. marshals finally tracked him to lawrence, massachusetts yesterday.
