loudon. mike: a beautiful day today with temperatures jumping well above the norm. time lapse up at new found lake some clouds early after beneficial rain, over an inch in spots and right back into clear sailing and lots of sunshine before skies clear out again in some spots by mid morning. that was at the coast, the last spot to see the clearing today. notice the rain that preceded that clearing line. quite heavy, moving through maine earlier this morning, again some spots did get over an inch to an inch and a quarter including concord at just over an inch of rain, putting a nice dent in the deficit for the month of november. now in the wake of the rain, temperatures jumped up nicely to 60 at the coast, upper 50's concord points south and southeast. all about 10 degrees above the average for this time of year and even though it cools down tomorrow, it will be right back to seasonably cool levels, a couple of degrees above the norm for both saturday and sunday. right now upper 20's, 40's from
6:18 pm
tonight it will dip back into the 20's and 30's. but that's right at the average for this time of year. warmest in downtown manchester and on the coast. temperatures showing the wintery side of things. in the midwest a big snowstorm is developing and will continue into saturday. but there's also some mild air as well. so where do our temperatures land over the next few days? it's seasonably cool through the weekend. then colder air mostly retreats to the north, but a little piece of that moves in for monday, tuesday and early wednesday. but then that retreats to the north and allows a mild surge just in time for thanksgiving day and into friday. much different weather story compared to a year ago when many were digging out from snow and dealing with power outages in time for thanksgiving. right now though clear skies, sunshine for the day tomorrow, a few patchy clouds at times. then more clouds than sun on sunday, but there will be breaks here and there, and could be a couple scattered showers. looks like it will be too warm to support anything but rain in
6:19 pm
across the mountains there could be a passing snow or mixed shower. tonight clear and seasonably cold, low 20's north, upper 20's, lower 30's south. many will be hitting the roads over the coming days and it looks a-okay. no wintery weather to contend with at least in terms of rain or snow mixing in the roads. but it will be colder temperature wide monday through wednesday and warms back up by thanksgiving. >> final night of friday night football, it week 12. coming up in a few minutes we'll
