the u.s. state department has issued a worldwide traffic alert for all u.s. travelers headed overseas. erin: it urges travelers to stay away from large crowd and holiday events. stephanie ramos has more. stephanie: the state department says they are not telling americans not to travel around the world, but to be vigilant. if you plan on traveling, a new warning for you in the wake of deadly attacks. the state department issuing an uncommon worldwide alert due to increased terrorist threats. >> we are and we continue to be and we have been concerned about copycat-like attacks. stephanie: current information suggests isil and other information groups continue to plan terrorist attacks in regions around the world using conventional and nonconventional weapons, proof that isis is not

the heightened alert not just in the states, but overseas to europe. the belgian prime minister extending the terror alert for another week after four days of lockdown in brussels. president obama meets with french president franc ois hollande today to talk about how to ramp up the fight against isis extremists. the french president might leave empty-handed. president obama has showed no signs of expanding the u.s. strategy in the middle east and western europe. sean: while there are no overseas flights out of manchester, there is heightened security at the airport, where traffic is asked to be busy for the next several days. ray brewer joins us live from the airport this morning with reaction from travelers. good morning. ray: good morning. officials at the

airport say that in light of that travel alert, they have modified security protocols as necessary. the volume is expected to be heavy for the holiday travel. passengers encouraged to ride -- arrive two hours before their flight leaves to make sure they get through security. >> there is no concern. i think everything is pretty safe around here. i hope. four people from new hampshire are charged with robbery in connection with a pair of crimes in maine. a 68-year-old woman says she was walking down the sidewalk in york when a man tried to grab her purse. she fell to the ground and the man got into a waiting car. less than an hour later, a store in wells was robbed. the heroin crisis continues to grow. senator jeanne shaheen is proposing an emergency funding bill worth $600 million to help address the issue. it is not clear how much money new hampshire would receive. the bulk of the money would go to the u.s. department of health and human services for prevention, treatment, and recovery programs. the like hope for new hampshire recovery, the only treatment center of its type in new hampshire. >> this would increase support for those programs we have seen that make a difference for people.

erin: senator kelly ayotte is asking hhs to designate this epidemic is a public health the. sean: a seacoast woman has received a temporary order of protection against a ballet director after accusing him of sexually assaulting her well on an international competition in 2014. the fbi would not confirm or deny if they are investigating. the woman says they are and is speaking out. in a petition for a stocking temporary order of protection, lissa curtis alleges that cosmin marculetiu, the ballet director of new england movement arts, sexually assaulted her several times over 10 days in romania. a judge counter allegations to be credible. cosmin marculetiu has not had the opportunity to respond to the allegations in court. >> the remainder of the trip, he kept that hotel key and he came that -- to that room and repeatedly raped and assaulted

me. i would have gone for help, but he was my help. it is a country i don' t know. sean: a full hearing to determine whether a final hearing -- order will be granted we have reached out to the defendant and his attorney not returned our calls. erin: the state ballot law commission will review several complaints surrounding the upcoming primary. to file -- complaint has been filed to remove donald trump from the ballot. trump' s national campaign manager calls the complaint outrageous. sean: challenges have also been filed against bernie sanders, ted cruz, marco rubio, and rick santorum, questioning their

we have a weak disturbance gliding through. beyond that, it is fair skies going all the way back into the northern rock ease, which is where our next system is. again, some light snow and snow showers, nor the new york up through western parts of vermont. zero atop mount washington. s elsewhere. maybe kicking up to 10-15 miles per hour in the open areas in the afternoon. coolest of the air continues to rotate through across the entire lower 48 right here in new england. one more chilly night and then we start this warming trend, which is developing back out to our south and west. it will be 30' s to lower 40' s out there.

a couple of snow showers up north and through the mountains. beyond that, it will keep the fair skies around. that will set up almost full sunshine for the busy travel day on wednesday. it is not only here across new hampshire, but all the way down through the mid-atlantic states. it looks like we keep that going into thanksgiving -- an increase in high clouds late in the day will be out well ahead of the next system, which comes in late friday evening. there may be a stray rain shower, but that is the leading edge of the cooler air with highs in the 50' s and may be near 60 on friday. we fall back to the 40' s in time for the weekend. the key is the lighter breeze we will have out there this afternoon before tumbling into the teens and 20' s later on tonight. temperatures over the next several days ramp upward.

i would not let the terrorists get control of me in pakistan, syria, afghanistan. those places are highly dangerous and very unsafe. but traveling in western europe, around the united states, while something could happen, it is very unlikely. ray: the state department says it is not telling americans not to travel, it is telling them to be careful when they do. reporting live, ray brewer. erin: thank you. people gathered in alexandria to remember the life of a little boy who is now the center of a homicide investigation. dozens of people came together at the alexandria united methodist church for a candlelight vigil in memory of shawn "s.j." sylvester. yesterday would have been his first birthday. investigators say he died from blunt force trauma to the head more than a week ago. some parents brought their children to the vigil to keep his spirit alive.

>> this would have been one of his schoolmates. >> i really feel for the family. >> sean grew up with my -- shawn grew up with my son joe. this is a tragedy. erin: no one has been charged in connection with his death. the case remains under investigation. sean: a manchester man is in the hospital after suffering serious injuries from an accident in andover massachusetts. southbound side of the highway yesterday afternoon. the 21-year-old victim was standing behind his car in the breakdown lane when he was hit by a passing suv. the man was flown to mass general hospital. erin: a manchester couple is accused of misleading case. accused of lying about their whereabouts on the days the -- the day the homicide victim was last seen.

woman was found burning near some train tracks in massachusetts on november 3. they admitted to being with the victim earlier on in the day, but lied about their whereabouts later on. sean: the family of a man shot and killed outside his home in columbia is making it publicly for help in this case. the body of david oldham was found by one of his daughters on july 1. authorities say he was shot in the head and his death was ruled a homicide. his son and two daughters are speaking out, hoping someone will come forward with information. >> the people that don' t know what happened need to know. we need to get to the bottom of this. we need to know what happened. we don' t care who.

and there needs to be justice. sean: anyone with information is asked to call new hampshire state police. erin: a franklin man convicted in a human trafficking case that involved a 14-year-old girl learned his fate yesterday. william schein tried to sell the girl -- shine tried to sell the girl to a man, who he did not realize was an undercover cop. he spent 32 minutes on the stand blaming the media and the jury. >> they based it on the evidence they heard. erin: shine was sentenced to 15 years in prison. he and his wife will be back in court next year. they are both charged with

sean: hollis police are investigating a business burglary. they say someone broke into the hatch convenience store. an officer in massachusetts took three people in custody after they were spotted in a stolen car. inside that car, they found several items stolen from the convenience store. arrests are expected soon. erin: 30 people have already applied to be part of the state medical marijuana program -- the program. state officials hope that all four dispensaries in new hampshire will be up and running next year. sean: one growing group of victims in the heroin crisis who are rarely seen or heard, but are suffering terribly are the children of attics. the rising number of abuse and neglect cases is directly connected to parental or

>> kids as young as eight and nine are calling us to report that their parent or guardian or whoever is their caregiver is unconscious and unresponsive and we come out and we find that the person is suffering from an overdose. sean: tonight at 11:00, the overload on resources as the number of opioid orphans grows. the new police position aimed at putting those kids first. erin: the town of exeter has made the list of the 30 most architecturally impressive small towns in america. the towns were selected based on factors such as overall appeal to the average person with an interest in architecture. exeter came in 20th on the list. phillips exeter academy was noted for its historic buildings. it certainly is a great town. sean: gorgeous area.

kevin: starting off with a live look in plymouth. 21 degrees. a lot of folks back into the teens. we are expecting a good deal of sunshine away from the mountains. there could be a couple of light snow showers or flurries to be had. sean: thanks. you may remember the story of the woman who killed a stranger inside a main supermarket. she has been sentenced to life in prison. connor maccalister pled guilty to the random stabbing death of 59-year-old wendy boudreau at shaw' s supermarket in saco. connor maccalister told investigators she was angry with

life. she went to the store to kill several victims. >> when i someday get married, wedding day. when i someday have children, she will not be here to see them take their first breaths. my children will not know their grammy. the family and friends. erin: connor maccalister entered a guilty plea over the objection of her lawyer, who wanted to use an insanity defense. sean: police in florida say a man dressed as darth vader tried to hold up a convenience store. officers say the costumed criminal walked into the store, show the clerk a gun, and demanded money. the clerk refused to give in and ended up hitting the would-be robber with a bottle of blue cheese salad dressing. the suspect took off empty-handed.

northern vermont to northern new hampshire and that we drop into the teens and 20' s tonight. we start to see the clouds increase. eventually coming with that increase will be an increase in a southwesterly breeze. that means milder temperatures for thanksgiving and black friday. the temperatures do look fairly mild. not nearly as cold as what we have at their this morning. notice a lot of lake-effect snow. light snow showers will try to add jan across northern new hampshire into the afternoon. otherwise, large amount of real estate until the next system. that does not arrive until sometime later friday evening. a big area of low pressure will be overhead. mid-20'

popular landmark lego-style. they made a scale replica of lambeau field. the model is 15 feet by 13 feet, standing at little more than two feet tall. and it can get cold, even in the lego version. erin: they need a few more fans in the stands. a clown in canada is being deemed a hero after helping to women in serious trouble. doo doo the clown was driving in downtown toronto with two other clowns and they noticed a man acting strange. the clowns noticed this. the man approached to women on the street and then ran after them. sean: i' m glad there is dash cam video. doo doo screamed for the women to look out and they managed to get into the clown car. kevin: the man going after them attacked the car, ripped off the
