44 in missouri. we've got treacherous roadways there. the rainfall stretches as far north as detroit. again, the heaviest though will be parked right along the lone star state in north texas as well as southeast oklahoma into northern arkansas. as we head into the evening time though, behind this cold front, we are going to see some colder air building in. some of this rainfall could turn into a wintry mix this evening. reena and kendis, back to you. >> thank you, cam. >> hurricane sandra is still a powerful category 3 storm churning through the eastern pacific, but it is expected to weaken significantly before it hits mexico's mainland down to a tropical storm by overnight and reduced to a remnant by tomorrow morning. it wasn't the hurricane that caused a bumpy landing in mexico city. it was the landing gear that collapsed. the charter flight was arriving from cancun carrying more than 140 people when the plane's left side wheel buckled. passengers' nerves were shot, but nobody was injured. it's still unclear what caused that malfunction.

white officer. the latest from the abc's alex perez. >> reporter: our first look at a revealing new video that shows 17-year-old laquan mcdonald, moments before he was shot. the dash cam from chicago police officer jason van dyke's vehicle captures the pursuit, back in october 2014. van dyke then opens fire as mcdonald is walking away. 16 shots in 15 seconds. >> if we don't get it -- >> shut it down! >> reporter: in chicago wednesday night, more protests. at one point, tearing lights off the city's christmas tree. protesters are furious it took state's attorney anita alvarez nearly a year to charge van dyke. community members at one church demanding alvarez step down. >> i want to pray for the calm of the city. because we can be -- we could be on the verge of another ferguson. >> reporter: but alvarez defends the lengthy investigation, saying the time was needed to review evidence and charge van dyke with first degree murder. >> it's the first time it's happened in over 30 years in chicago. so, these are very heavy charges. >> reporter: van dyke's defense argues he fired at mcdonald
