decided with just 10 weeks to go to the primary it was time to throw their support behind one. so today at another luncheon they announce pped their endorsement of governor chris christie. the new jersey governor fielded questions from a roundtable of local business people, focusing mostly on national security issues. renee plumber says she trusts christie to protect the country and says his performance in the debate, support of veterans, and his experience stood out. >> there's no one in republican circles that are more respected than renee and danny, so to have their endorsement today is a huge thing for our campaign. and when you add that in the same 24 hours that we get the union leader endorsement, i think it's showing people that folks are listening here in new hampshire and we're getting somewhere. reporter: christie says he believes most voters won't make up their minds until a week or two before the primary. he adds that most candidates wanted these endorsements both from the new hampshire union

jennifer: after last week's mild temperatures, boy, was it colder today. tom: and that shift has take then november out of contention for the warmest on record in new hampshire. meteorologist josh judge breaks down the numbers for us. josh: we were for a while in first place, then we woke up this morning in second place. that has all changed. here's a look at the unofficial highs around the state today, of course the one that we look at is concord because that's where the state's records were kept. 34 degrees the high and the low last night was 19.

as we woke up this morning, this is still official because those highs i just showed you are unofficial. officially we're still in second place. 2015 of this november, a grief 42.9, that's an average, second place behind 2006. and those are the top five you're looking at, 1931, 2011 and 1948. incidentally, we decided it would be fun to compare how much snow those winters saw after that warm november, because those are the five warmest. and it's well below average. the average snowfall 64.5 inches in all those are below that. of course we have the question marks for this coming winter. but once you factor in, we've crunched the numbers, the high of 34 and the low of 19, that moves us down to fifth place, and takes that 42.9 and brings it down to 42.4. so no longer are we the second, it will end up being the fifth warmest november on record. but still that could have some influence on the snow, who

does it stay cool for a while? mike haddad has the answer to that. mike: we do see a big change the next several days around here as the next system that moves in will be accompanied by mild air. but then we get a little snow in parts of new hampshire before the week is over. take a look at the time lapse at the weirs today, fair skies at times, but a lot of low clouds building in from the south and east good part of the midday and afternoon. still lingering in a good part of new hampshire east of the upper valley. so lakes region south and southeast, they'll dissipate in the next few hours and that means mostly clear skies as we go through the course of night. but clouds are pressing in from the south, they're also beginning to approach from the west, through a good part of the great lakes states. as that system moves in, that means wet weather will develop as early as tomorrow afternoon. but right now it's on the cold side, upper 20's, lower 30's in the lakes region, points south. even a bit colder to the north

in the single digits and lower teens. a few mid 20's at the coast and also in downtown manchester. a lot of cold air drifting over a good part of the nation. looks very typical for the end of november and early december. but when the next system approaches, it will be accompanied by slightly milder temperatures, so again it's mostly rain as opposed to snow. that will start to change as all of this moves away, wednesday night into early thursday. so in the short term, clouds tend to move out tonight. tomorrow they move right back in. a couple of scattered rain showers will develop in the afternoon. and then on and off light to moderate rain tomorrow night into wednesday and even through wednesday night. but on the back side of this, again, it changes over to a little bit of snow. especially in the whieft mountains and great north woods. could see a few inches in northern parts of the state. early thursday morning through the early afternoon before it dries out once again. partly cloudy skies on average tonight, mostly clear to the north. partial clearing south. on average generally between 12
