the mayor of san bernardino has just wrapped up a press conference with more developments. investigators have identified the suspected shooters. we now know that there were two, a couple. both dead after exchanging gunfire with police. abc' s loren lester is live in california with more. lauren: the end of yesterday' s manhunt is today' s crime scene. one of them had worked for the county for five years and had attended that event. for the attack, and they are not ruling out terrorism. this suv the getaway car for the and reminder of the carnage that took place. >> we have several down in a mayor davis: it' for our community and sad day for our country. lauren: it started when the two suspects stormed the inland regional center with semi automatic weapons wednesday morning, killing 14. timmy hilliard: i saw two bodies

behind bars, as the 40-year-old will have to spend the next 60 years in prison. wmur' s ray brewer is live outside the courthouse where a very emotional hearing has just concluded. ray: struggling through the s ex-finance said that none of the dion was capable of such brutal acts. now they have to live with the knowledge that he was. plea bargain, matthew dion entered superior court in manchester to listen to the pain he had caused. his ex-fiance and the mother of their four-year-old son said she was speaking for the victims both the living and the dead. , pam focos: i can not imagine how terrified how much pain your parents must have felt to know that you' re going to die at the hands of someone you loved unconditionally. ray: dion pleaded guilty to second degree murder, admitting he killed his parents bob and connie dion in march of 2014.

their house on fire, dion also pleaded guilty to a charge of arson. after more than a year on the run he was captured in florida and brought back to new hampshire. >> why did this happen? ray: pam focosi says that is the question the family still struggles with. that matthew could have reached out to the family for help. now that love that she once felt for him has been replaced with another emotion. pam: when someone you love and respect unconditionally commits such a terrible and disgusting, crime you have to quickly learn to hate that person. ray: in court, we also learned that dion had sent a letter to prosecutors while he was on the run. in that letter, the ag' s office says he confessed to the murders and threatened suicide. the prosecution also said that dion had been stealing stamps from his dad, taking them to boston to sell. and living a life of lies that was about to unravel. jeff strelzin: he wasn' t working.
