within the last hour, we' ve learned of an isis connection to the woman who helped her husband kill 14 people at a holiday banquet pledged allegiance to islamic state on facebook using an alias. law enforcement says she deleted the e-mails before hand. daughter with her husband. a fiance e visa and then married site farouq -- syed farook. let' s toss -- r right now because we have the clearest indication that shooting rampage two days ago in san bernardino california was an act of terror inspired by isis. we will go to pierre thomas in washington. federal officials have learned that tashfeen malik, the wife part of the killing couple made a pledge of allegiance to isis.

senior government officials tell us that she had pledged allegiance in a facebook pose using an alias pledging in the hours just before the massacre. george, the fbi has not uncovered evidence that's sis directed or financed malik or husband to launch the attacks. this can be categorized as at least in part being inspired by isis, though workplace issues may have been involved as well, george. >> let me bring this to brian ross. brian, not directed by isis but we know that isis has been pulsing out on social media trying to radicalize people here. >> on a country by country basis reaching out to countries fighting isis urging followers to attack in their home country. we know that yesterday morning the fbi said it would be irresponsible to call it

atlantic avenue in boston. next to vehicle. vehicle. we will continue to keep you in. closer to home, an early morning fire has apparently claimed one life in concord. the man' s body was found in a first-floor apartment. an autopsy is scheduled for later today to determine the cause of death. at this time, officials are not releasing his name. know so far. ray: according to witnesses, several people tried to enter the burning building to rescue the man trapped inside only to be forced back by the flames. the call came in to the fire department at 3:24 in the morning, reporting smoke in the building at 96 rumford street in concord. a woman who lives across the street says she heard a horrific sound. >> neighbors actually screaming

still in the building. ray: audrey webster says she went to her front door and saw the multi-family building ablaze. audrey: it was engulfed. it was engulfed on the first floor, sparks flying everywhere because power was still on. chief andrus: our arrival, which was at 3:29, fire was blowing out of the windows on the first floor and extending to the second floor. ray: concord fire chief dan andrus says firefighters tried to enter the building and rescue the man, but the fire was too intense. officials say there were 8 people home when the fire broke out. bill degnan: the fire occurred in a lower floor unit where ray: the other seven made it out safely. bill: there was smoke detectors in the hallway, which did go off , and there was smoke in the hall, which definitely saved the other occupants of the building. ray: the fire brought every concord on duty firefighter to the scene. the chief says firefighters were able to knock down the fire in about 10 minutes, managing to keep the fire from spreading.

contained to that one apartment , although there is heavy smoke damage throughout the entire structure. and it will be awhile before the tenants are allowed back. the red cross is helping the people displaced, several of the tenants were also students at the law school, which is providing them with temporary housing. in concord, ray brewer, wmur news 9. sean: all right, ray, thanks. and in massachusetts overnight, four people died in a fire in the city of of lynn. firefighters say the building was engulfed in flames when they arrived just after midnight , and part of the roof collapsed. investigators did pull two unconscious women from the building and were able to revive them on the way to the hospital. right now, the red cross is helping 19 people. tonight, a candlelight vigil is planned for the person killed in a crash in manchester last weekend. 31-year-old alexander burke of bow now faces a negligent homicide charge in connection to the crash. six people needed medical help , and rescue crews had to use the jaws of life to remove at least two victims. tonight' s vigil is set for 7:00 at the corner of lake and union.

we have video of concord regional technical students. so far, they have gathered 24 bikes at this location, the toys in manchester. the first two bikes arrived before the store opened. alison raiche has been donating to toys for tossed for many years. her son, dan, was lost at the age of 23 to a drug overdose. alison: i know he is happy. i know he would want me to do this, to continue on, you know, even without him. he would, he would be happy. erin: it is really an emotional thing for her definitely. she has wanted to donate to toys for tots and his memory, and i should also mention she told me that she spent time in the foster care system growing up, so she wants to make sure that there are not any kids in the
