the continuing search for a motive in the mass shooting. shelley -- >> she was born in pakistan, and then she came to marry her american finance a. the spotlight is on the female shooter in this case after we learned she pledged her support at isis. this is our first look at the woman they believe may have been the brains behind the massacre. she and her husband bursting into a conference, firing at least 65 rounds. within moments, the 29-year-old mother went on facebook and declared her allegiance to isis. >> why would she do that? reporter: soon after this, she opened fire on police. the question now, did she

the fbi says right now, they look like self-starters. >> we have no indication they are part of in organized larger group or formed part of a cell. s home looking for evidence. typical family' s life, dirty dishes, baby toys, diapers, and the crib of their six-month old daughter, now an orphan. >> they just seemed like normal, ordinary people. nice people. reporter: but this inventory lists dozens of boxes of ammunition. twelve pipe bombs were also left behind. farook' s family warns against a rush to judgment. >> every single muslim leader has come out and said this is not a muslim act. reporter: the fbi is now combing through a large trove of evidence. to find out if there are accomplices.

shelley: we are hearing about this from a man who was shot. -- the family of a woman who was shot. amanda gaspard was shot 3 times in her arm, thigh, and knee and has more than 20 shrapnel wounds elsewhere. in a statement, her parents say she fell to the ground when the shooters came in. she hid under a table, and the shooters stood over her and could have easily shot her in the head. amanda' s parents say she' s in a lot of pain but recovering slowly. tom: the attack in san bernardino has led to an uptick in requests for the expertise of a new hampshire company, which trains people on how to respond to an active shooter situation. wmur' s mike cronin joins us live with how you can protect yourself if faced with a similar situation. mike: everything these men teach they say needs to be thought out ahead of time because if you' re faced with a dangerous situation and trying to figure out what to do in that moment, you' re more likely to make mistakes. >> this is the safest wall to be

workplace violence or active shooter incident. reporter: joseph hileman and his partner are trained for situations like the shooting in san bernardino. >> we bring into our training practical stuff that works anywhere. reporter: the two are on the jaffrey police force and lead a swat team. three years ago they started blue-u defense a company that teaches people how to react and defend themselves during situations of mass violence. in any public place preparation is key. >> success of your decisions comes from making good decisions in fractions of a second. >> so the first thing that we teach is escape. if you can escape and do so safely, you' re going to be better off in every situation is to get out. reporter: if that' s not an option hileman says to lock and barricade yourself in a room. if the shooter gets through. >> we prepare for the battle. and that means getting any weapon of opportunity or any weapon of plan that you have within your office setting.

call laconia police at 524-5257. shelley: mourners paid their respects today to the campus police officer who was killed in last week' s shooting at a planned parenthood clinic in colorado. garrett swasey rushed to the clinic to help after a man opened fire. he grew up in melrose, massachusetts and moved to colorado to train as a champion ice dancer. children. two other people were killed, and 9 were injured, including five police officers. tom: new hampshire is now on track to have more than 4 00 drug overdose deaths by the end of the year. the chief medical examiner says as of today 319 people in our state have died because of drugs in 2015. 269 of them, or 84%, had some form of opioid or opiate in their system. the me' s office says we will december 31' police say more charges are possible against a mother accused of crashing her pickup truck in northwood with her two young sons in the back seat.

overdosed on drugs. our stephanie woods is live in northwood with the neighbor who rushed in to help. stephanie: police say emmy-lee mcneil overdosed behind the wheel in northwood and crashed her truck in a swamp. a neighbor says that' s when her two sons and husband crawled out of the truck and sought his help. >> you know, you try to spin this into a positive from a same time, it' s scary. stephanie: steve mccusker was with his son, backing out of his driveway thursday night when he saw a man run at his car. >> it was surprising. it wasn' t anything that i was ready for right at that moment. but you know, it just felt like i had to take care of business. stephanie: mccusker says the man told him that his wife veered off harmony road and crashed their pickup truck into a swampy that' discovered the man' s 8-year-old son crying by his side. he took the boy inside his house.

shelley: police say the driver of the other car alexander burke ran a red light before crashing into an suv and killing the victim. tom: police have arrested a man for a shooting in manchester yesterday. officers say hezekiah mendoza shot jamie leblanc in his leg at leblanc' s apartment on belmont street. his injuries aren' t life-threatening. police arrested mendoza in providence, rhode island tonight and say they seized seven guns , five of which were stolen from various towns in new hampshire. tonight, state police are looking for the man who robbed the t.d. bank in loudon. troopers say he walked into the bank on route 129 about 5:15 this afternoon, showed a firearm and demanded money. this is a surveillance photo of the suspect. it' s a white man in his mid to late 20' s five foot six inches tall. and between 140 and 150 pounds. shelley: to commitment 2016 coverage. republican florida senator marco rubio did some christmas shopping in concord tonight. he visited gibson' s bookstore , saying he wanted to bring home
