ray: according to police and court paperwork, he went to the high school saturday night and he got his car stuck on a practice field. when an officer went to investigate, the officer said he could smell alcohol on him, and the incident escalated. >> this was an extremely dangerous situation. officer martin had a gun put right in his face, a loaded weapon. ray: the officer backed off and called for backup. heisenberger pointed the gun at his own head. negotiations would last for more than an hour. during that time, police say he fired his gun into the ground, exclaiming "this is how i keep control." the prosecutor is one of the officers who responded to the call for backup >> . he allegedly wanted to talk to his sister. please offer the use of a cell phone if you surrender to the gun. police say heissenberger put the
