home, where she was surprised to find a note inside one of the boxes. >> it said have a merry christmas, may your family be blessed, god is always watching, and have a very merry christmas. and she made $150 on our children's gifts. and it was huge. and i cried right there, you know, i was just so excited and so happy that my boyss can get a good christmas. >> i feel really happy about someone doing that for our family. >> we just try to, if she's out there, we could thank her. merry christmas. josh: translation, that was a merry christmas for all of them. here's your chance to help someone in need. the food drive kicks off this friday, we'll be collecting food donations at all hannaford, shaws and wal-mart locations in new hampshire through the 13th.

mike: the mid to late fall pattern does continue across new hampshire. plenty of sunshine at the weirs today. outside the colder valleys temperatures jumped above average by 15 degrees. but we're starting to see a cooldown over the next couple days and that may beg the question are we going to see any snow finally. here they are, the latest states in terms of a 10th of an inch of snow or more in concord, believe it or not, the year 2000, january 13th, that winter of '99-2000 we had to wait until january 13 to get measurable snow, so that's the record in terms of the latest measurable snow in concord. but december 19, not out of the question that we could reach that date. because we only have 12 days to go and only a couple systems to track. having said that, is there a shot of a little snow between

satellite imagery showing the clouds moving in from the south. the later storm will scoot to our south carrying all the rain with it and no snow chance out of that one. take a look at the highs today, mid to upper 40's great north woods, back into tupper valley, quite chilly as that cold air pools into the valleys all day long. plymouth topped off at 50, mid to upper 50's from the merrimack valley towards the coast, about 17, 18 degrees above average for this time of year. clear skies, dry air in place right now, so that's allowing temperatures to fall off where the clouds have not moved in yet. but there are some clouds up north, so temperatures are becoming fairly uniform aacross the state. overnight tonight, 20's for many, low 30's along the coast and through manchester and down through nashua. at least for now the spring warmth being squashed to our south as cool air builds in from the north and west, that will park itself right over new hampshire for the next couple of days. keeping the storm track away, but also dropping our temperatures back closer to

so again this system scoots on off to the east, another one will tend to fall apart and approach later wednesday night, early thursday, that's the next chance of a couple showers. but even then in southern new hampshire a mix or rain at worst. on future cast the clouds are beginning to move in up north, they've opinion stuck a good part of the morning and afternoon. sunshine tomorrow afternoon, more sun back in here for wednesday. then we jump to the next system, starved for moisture. so outside of more clouds on thursday and a couple of widely scattered showers of a mix or rain north and possibly rain south, that's it, until a couple more showers later on friday. and then a good part of the weekend, looking dry. 30's, lower 40's tomorrow. we're up near 60 in a couple spots today, so much lower in terms of the readings closer to average of the upper 30's. so 37 in the north country, to about 40 to 44 south. for tonight, mainly fair skies, some patchy fog developing, and with temperatures below freezing

nights during the overnight stretch and early part of the morning commute, there could be a touch of block ice in some of the valleys like tupper valley and valleys from concord north and west. outside of that maybe a shower by thursday, another possibility on friday, temperatures much lower, and we get to the weekend, at least 40's, maybe near 50 saturday, and well into the 50's on sunday. that means the next system that arrives sunday night early monday starts as rain, but it could end as snow for some, we'll have to see as we get closer. josh: for one group of guys sunday night can't come soon enough. >> tough might for the pats, we'll talk about that, plus a

>> for the first time ever bill belichick lost a game at home after leading by 14 points. and the pats lost back to back games for the first time since 2012. give chip kelly's eagles credit though, they won it with defense and special teams, scoring 21 points without even having their offense on the field. so the patriots fall to 10-2, and are now in third place in the afc playoff standings behind the bengals and broncos. the eagles at 5-7, they are still in contention for the nfc east title.

throws it the most and i got to make good decisions with the ball and if i turn the ball over twice, i mean i don't think we have a chance to win many games. >> we got contributions, i thought defensive live, the pressure we got on the quarterback was instrumental. but when you have a block kick for a touchdown, an interception return and a punt return for a touchdown, it takes those things to win in this stadium against this coach and that quarterback. >> dartmouth head football coach teevens has been named the coach of the year by american football coaches association. he led the team to a 9-1 record, championship. he's the first dartmouth coach to earn the award since 1978. he was also named the new england coach of the year, over the past two and a half seasons the big green are 21-4 with all four losses coming against ranked opponents.

action tonight. celtics play at new orleans at 8:00. monarchs playing pretty good hockey lately, manchester took two of three over the weekend and are currently in third place in the eastern conference. >> we've been playing good now for a while. we've been on a streak now that we're playing games and the team is really starting to gel and we just keep getting better and keep worrying about what we're doing every day. so we'll keep improving and take that on the road with us. reporter: red sox traded pitchers wade miley and jonathan errol to the mariners in exchange for two left handed, for a left-handed pitcher and -- jennifer: so we can hope, all right, thank you. tune in for "new hampshire chronicle" immediately following
