about two men checking car door handles. officers spotted 21-year-old abdikadir khamis and 19-year-old ahmed ali trying to open doors a short time later. when police searched them, they found cocaine. both were arrested. and the city of portsmouth is investigating an increase in car break-ins there as well. a majority of the vehicles were left unlocked and were gone through during the overnight hours. officials want to remind residents to always lock their car doors and bring anything of value inside. if you see anything suspicious, please give police a call. testimony continues today in the trial of a dump truck driver charged in a deadly crash in merrimack. kyle witty is accused of running a red light on route 101-a and slamming into a minivan last year, killing 60-year-old elizabeth mcquinn. defense lawyers say the lights were hidden by trees that were later cut down. the jury also heard from several witnesses who testified that they heard the screeching of tires and the impact on the day of the crash.
