i' off the top this noon, new details about the condition and identity of one of the four secret service agents injured in that fatal wakefield crash last week. friends of agent garret gofundme page, which has collected near $90,000 to assist his rehabilitation. according to the fundraiser, agent fitzgerald sustained major injuries to his spinal cord. he had moved with his fiance e to boston in september and was adjusting to the new job. the driver who police say caused the crash on route 16 was killed in the accident. all of the agents survived. new this noon, a manchester man will appear in court to face a second degree assault charge.

court documents say mitchell sutter punched another man whose head hit the ground outside a club on maple street, causing serious injuries. documents a a witness a -- document say a witness accused the man of drugging his girlfriend. a new hampshire man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to unemployment compensation fraud. authorities say jason o' callaghan of sandown filed four weekly claims back in march for unemployment benefits while failing to report that he was employed. he was sentenced to nine months in the house of corrections with all but four days suspended for two years, and also has to pay more than $1500 in restitution community service. right now, officials are still sparked a fire in farmington yesterday that left one man dead. when the police chief arrived on 10 rod road, he says three

child, were standing outside. a man' s body was later found upstairs where it is believed the fire started. a close call this morning in massachusetts after three firefighters became trapped inside a burning home in saugus. officials say they were running out of oxygen and had to be dragged out by other firefighters. one firefighter lost his helmet as he jumped out of a first floor window to escape the flames. the three residents of the home made it out safely. the cause of the fire is under investigation. new this noon, the new hampshire legislature is back to work. the house began the 2016 session just after 10:00 this morning. ray brewer had the change to speak to legislative leaders including the governor before the session got underway. and ray, what are their expectations? rosie: ==

ray: well, house issues, social issues will be of the forefront, and they will look at ways to deal with expanded health care and the state' s heroin epidemic. legislators will tackle this session is medicaid expansion, something that the governor says comes to dealing with the opioid crisis. gov. hassan: so that we can continue to bring those federal funds into the state to provide primary and preventative care but also very importantly substance abuse and behavioral health coverage. ray: while that maybe controversial, three bills dealing with the opioid epidemic are expected to win swift approval. coming out of a special session, they would stiffen penalties for dealing fentanyl, look at expanded use of narcan, and expand drug and alcohol education in schools. rep. jasper: the house and the senate will have joint hearings on three of those bills next week, and we should have those bills on the governor' s desk no later than the 21st of this month. ray: between the senate and the house, there are more than a thousand bills for legislators to consider.

condemnation today after this announcement from north korean state media. claiming that a 5.1 magnitude earthquake near the county' s nuclear testing facility yesterday was caused by north korea' s first successful test of a hydrogen bomb. the weapon can be about 10,000 times more powerful than atomic bombs like those dropped on hiroshima and nagasaki in world war ii. this would be the country' s fourth time testing a nuclear weapon since 2006, but the first time testing a thermo-nuclear weapon. the u.s. immediately launched so-called nuclear sniffer planes to determine whether north korea' s claims are true. the results could take months, but already many are skeptical. mr. nilsson-wright: the reported size of the detonation is relatively modest, comparable to the test that north korea carried out in 2013, which i think has led many experts to assume that this is in fact probably a much cruder device

skarupa with your stormwatch 9 forecast. kevin: yet another morning when above 0 and double digits. here and now, it is a completely differ situation. we have the sunshine, a breeze out of the west, southwest. that makes an enormous nicely. advertising time of year in concord between 30 and 32 degrees. we are already well above that at the noon hour. for the next several days, we are looking at temperatures in the 30' s, even up near 40 in a couple southern locations like we are already seeing play out in nashua. it is a very nice afternoon. one of those midwinter afternoons with a lot of sunshine across the area. a fairly light breeze, which is not adding any sort of bite to the air.

winter months, we cook a lot of pasta fagioli soup. it cooks relatively quickly, so beans. these take a long time to cook, a long time. as you start doing this, as you know, i was talking to earlier, my father is in italy now, and when i called him, my aunt picked up the phone, i told him i would be on tv, and i asked what to cook, and she said pasta fagioli. we do not usually do soup on tv. erin: it is a good idea. michael: i put in salt, pepper, and then put a little bit of oregano. and then put some of our homemade tomato sauce, which we so if you have trouble making tomato sauce from scratch, come by the restaurant.

michael: family recipe, fresh tomatoes. erin: i know you make your own pasta as well. michael: we do. it is homemade pasta we make at the restaurant about three times a week, so it is nice and fresh. stock. as you see, it is a little more on the thicker side. it is a party or dish -- it is a heartier dish. it is a nice, good base, and you put the pasta right in like that, and it will cook with the soup. erin: that is wonderful. michael: absolutely. and i have got some fresh basil, parsley -- erin: finish it off there. michael, thank you so much for coming in. that look still issues. michael: no problem. it should be set in a couple of minutes. erin: wonderful here to think our crew is anxious for this soup.
