places like concord, manchester. the wind gusts have been strongest at the coast line. 36 miles per hour, the latest gust there. seacoast. it' s 54 right now in concord. that means we have tied a record high temperature. if we would get to 55, we would break it. adam: the wind is taking out power in several places across the state. ever source is reporting 1600 people without power in pittsburgh, and the lights are out for another 1200 customers in rollinsford. power lines came down around route 175 in canton. authorities say it could be several hours before it reopens. stephanie: you contract the rain on wmur.com and on the storm watch 9 weather app. it' s available for apple and android devices.

-- residential candidate hillary clinton has been endorsed by the political arm of planned parenthood. that' s the first time the organization has endorsed a candidate in a presidential primary. kristen carosa was there and joins us from hooksett. how are things out there? mike: this is event -- kristen: this event drew hundreds of people to southern new hampshire university where the endorsement took place.the event has wrapped up, but this was in the that had a lot of energy and excitement. planned parenthood action fund president cecile richards made the announcement. the organization provides health care to thousands of people in the state every day. this endorsement is the first time the organization has ever endorsed in a presidential primary, and it' s the third time the organization has endorsed in a presidential race. richards tells news 9 there are several reasons why they chose secretary hillary clinton to endorse.

kria: this training is funded by the department of homeland security, and it involves each time a real-life mass shooting takes place. -- evolves each time a real-life mass shooting takes place. a team of officers move in unison, searching for a solo shooter on campus. it' s training that has become more and more relevant these days. >> college and university police department have been training for years, but we have put a whole lot more emphasis in it in recent years. kria: while schools on break, a few students volunteered to help increase the stress and confusion for officers. officers have to determine if they are innocent bystanders or dangerous and armed. >> i act as a scared student. definitely, the police officers are trained to keep everyone calm and to get to safety as fast as they can. kria: the unh chief of police says the trainings are constantly evolving,

adam: music fans got a free concert in manchester today. new hampshire' s own recycled percussion performed at home depot on south willow street. stephanie: the band rocked out on a stage made a plywood, giving the audience a high-energy show on a rainy sunday. they' ve been performing in new hampshire for the past week, selling 5000 tickets across the state. the founder justin spencer who is originally from goffstown said he wanted to find a way to thank fans. >> we always do one last give back show. it' s five hours before our flight to vegas.

this is really the heavy blast, thunderstorms right on top of the connecticut river valley. form claremont -- from claire meant into lebanon, and you can see a few bolts of lightning crossing over from for mont into new hampshire. don' t be surprised for those of you in lebanon, eventually in london -- new london. you might hear rumbles of thunder in the next hour or so. heavier downpours as you get down towards keene, fitzwilliam. we will have another round of heavier downpours, maybe some gusty winds, and some of you, a few rumbles of thunder. then it looks like we do dry out, and the rain showers wrap up. tomorrow, some much colder air coming in as this storm system eventually brings in the colder

the good thing is, despite the rain we' ve had, we haven' t had issues with flooding, other than big puddles in the urban areas, but there is a flood watch for the green areas. that is posted until 1:00 a.m. haven' t had reports of any issues of flooding. the other issue we' ve had is with the wind. we have had wind gusts approaching 40-45 miles per hour. 29 in rochester. we have had a few areas where the gusts have exceeded 40 miles per hour and brought down tree limbs and power lines. there' s a wind advisory that has been posted for the immediate coastline that goes until 8:00 tonight. the warm temperatures have been incredible today. we have reached a record in concord. 54 degrees is the current temperature. if we get to 55, we would officially crack the high temperature. we have tied the high temperature for the day, that

overnight, cold air returns. we will have sunshine and a few snow showers, some of it making its way from lake ontario. in some of those streamers, you can get a good 1-2 inches of snowfall. the bigger thing you will notice is the wind tomorrow, and also the colder air returning. by recess for the kids tomorrow, temperatures only in the 30' s. look at the highs made week. 20' s on wednesday and thursday. tuesday, we get another system coming in, and that could bring in a couple inches of snow for everybody. that' s good, because this rain is really killing things in the ski area. adam: rain is not the friend of those skiers. stephanie: we are looking forward to when the patriots are going to play, but some exciting football. jason: it' s wild card weekend. it continues with two games in the nfc, including the third coldest kickoff temperature in league history.
