this is the storm in question and the one we've been tracking over the last several days. maps had it much farther off shore than this morning. we'll get in on the north western half as it moves northeast. it is a fairly quick moving burst. it likely to be compacted to somewhere around the pre-dawn hours tomorrow through about lunchtime in southern areas and lingering in to the afternoon up north. today ahead of that, a lot of clouds. just a few breaks. temperatures starting in the single digits within teens to lower 20's. highs in to the afternoon, upper 20's to mid 30's. a light wind and a couple of hours of melting going on, especially in the areas that have the stubborn ice left on the back porch or sidewalks. you can kind of try to chisel out the way later on this afternoon. clouds still out there through a good part of the day. then the clouds from the next system arriving later on this afternoon and tonight. again leading edge of this could be a little bit of light snow or wintry mix. from concord south and east it likely goes over

sean: a judge has denied bail. anthony barnaby faces two counts of first-degree murder in the 1988 deaths of charlene ranstrom and brenda warner. david caplin is also charged in the stabbing deaths. there were several reasons keeping barnaby behind bars including new statements from barnaby once said he was going to kill two women in nashua. barnaby himself confessed to taking part in the crime. erin: a deadly crash is under investigation. this accident happened about 1:30 on derry street. the ford taurus was headed south when it crossed the center line. the driver of the pronounced dead at the hospital. police say a woman and two children in the suv were not hurt. sean: as expected, the new hampshire senate has passed a number of issues to address the opioid crisis.

increase the availability and enhance for those that distribute the drugs illegally. lawmakers acknowledge this is just the start in combating the ongoing epidemic. >> but there's still more to be done. we need to fund drug courts and do a better job of heroin and fentanyl dealers in new hampshire. there's money that has to be appropriated. sean: the bills could make it to the desk by the end of the month. erin: new hampshire awarded the first certificate for cultivating medical marijuana. they will open the facility in rochester. once the company is completed cultivating its cannabis, the state will inspect the location in plymouth to determine if it is ready to begin operations. after that happens, a registration certificate will be issued allowing the dispensary to begin. it is expected to begin operations sometime in the spring.

dinosaur is now a 122-foot long creature is so big it tops the model by about 30 feet. the dinosaur was discovered in 2014. they had fun with it. it took crews nearly two years to unearth the new species. the giant herbivore is part of the titanosaur group. thankfully i wasn't walking around. as i mentioned before, it could be dangerous even though you weren't the target of his appetite. you never know. erin: it is amazing to see how big those dinosaurs were. sean: they were big. kevin: calling them lizards is weird. imagine them to be smaller. sean: lizards were pretty big back then. everything was. kevin: i guess so. up in the north country. we have a few breaks we'll have clouds continuing to file in. south of the white mountains quite a few more clouds early this that's been keeping temperatures up. a lot of areas in the teens to lower range of a light wine and

afternoon. a few breaks in the overcast up north. clouds will be filing in from the west through the day ahead of the next storm system that's pushing out of the gulf of mexico and headed northeast. the ultimate track of the system has been the bone of contention with most of the maps. we've been watching them slowly fade off shore. they start to come back closer bringing more direct effects for us here with the time frame of tomorrow morning and early afternoon. anywhere from the teens to lower range of the 20's this morning. we're going to continue to see the temperatures work their way back in to the 20's to lower 30's this afternoon. pretty close to where we should be for this time of year with a light wind and quite a few clouds moving through. really no precipitation through the evening commute. we likely go through midnight without much out there. it is overnight tonight that we start to see the precipitation move in to southern areas of the sate. you can see that here. a lot of that pictured as rain or wintry mix. i think any sort of a mixture from concord and manchester will go over

if any, accumulation. it is farther west as you get up through the terrain and certainly farther north. it more likely get involved with the system. i think we go back and forth depending on the valley or higher terrain situation out west. up north likely mostly snow out of the system before maybe even ending as a little bit of sleet. it is going to be a fairly quick moving system and pre-dawn hours through about lunch time and through about mid afternoon up north. once it pulls away, partial clearing setting up for saturday night and partly sunny skies for sunday. notice the clouds increasing late. scattered snow showers maybe a brief squall a possibility early monday. that will be the leading edge of colder air out of central canada. it is going to mean temperatures in the 20's. high temperatures today getting their way back in to the low to mid 30's across the region. the farther back to the west you go the likely right around 30 degrees. it does look like that wintry mix pushes in overnight northward.
