jennifer: and i'm jennifer vaughn. the winner of the iowa caucuses remains here in new hampshire as he tries to go two for two in the early contest states. wmur political director josh mcelveen kicks off our campaign coverage tonight. josh: it wasn't that long ago that ted cruz was seen as donald trump's closest ally in the republican field, even fueling chatter of a trump-cruz ticket down the road. after the iowa caucuses that kinship appears to be gone now. but neither is a fan of the media. >> one of the problems in the global warming debate is far too much of the debate is driven by politics and political agendas. reporter: and that can be blamed partly on the media, he says. >> the media is not going to pick the next republican nominee, with all of the media saying this guy is too far to the right. the media tells us, well, you can't deport.

onto hooksett, we joined cruz aboard his bus for a one on one interview. where is the media getting you wrong? >> well, listen, the media has their favorites. reporter: according to cruz that includes donald trump, who oh spent much of the day on twitter accusing the texan of stealing the caucuses in iowa alleging that his campaign fueled a rumor that ben carson was dropping out of the race and as a result picked up his votes. >> it's yet another trumper tantrum. listen, donald is so erratic, you wonder do you really want his finger on the button? he's meeting down. i don't think the american people are interested in a circus or side show. you need a commander in chief who doesn't break into tears at the latest opinion polls. is donald likely to wake up one morning and nuke denmark? josh: ted cruz says he will spend the bulk of his time in

>> we drilled a few test holes. hopefully it freezes. mike: looks like temperatures actually climb through the course of the night. take a look at time lapse out at the coast today, the dreary weather locked in early and hasn't given up just yet, as we still have some showers moving through parts of southern new hampshire. looking ahead, shower threat for the most part tonight will be in extreme southern new hampshire as temperatures head higher statewide. right through the course of the night. into early tomorrow morning. speaking of early tomorrow, could be a couple of showers mainly along the coastline, outside of that it dries out and stays warm before it begins to cool back closer to normal by friday and over the weekend into a good part of next week as well. notice steady rain shifting to the east right now, a couple of lingering sprinkles across the mountains and great north woods.

farther south steadier light rain manchester and points south. a lot of that will move off to the east in the next couple hours and that means mainly dry weather in terms of steady rain. having said that not a big wind field developing to dry us out, solo level cloudiness, fog, sprinkles here or there overnight. the wind flow out of the southeast, so that's beginning to drive temperatures up in many spots, where it's been cool all day long. take a look at manchester, about 10 minutes ago checking in at 43 degrees. now up near 50. speaking of the 50 club, you're in it, all through the monadnock region, from 52 to 56 at this hour. even through the great north woods in the upper 40's and 32 over 6,000 feet up is very warm for the summit of mount washington this time of year. where do we go tonight? temperatures hold steady or even rise in some cases, it's 40's and lower 50's through the course of the evening and those temperatures could fall a little

the most part stay well into the 40's to near 50. there's much cooler air upstreaming back through the great lakes, plains states, rockies, and that's marching in our direction, about tomorrow might into friday and a good part of the weekend we're going to share the this cooler air. the big question when we cool down, do we see any snow chances. initially the first wave that will move along this same front that scoots just to our east late tonight into tomorrow, that should primarily miss new hampshire early friday morning. having said that, there is a chance in southeastern areas of a few flurries early friday morning. steadier snow southeastern parts of massachusetts, cape cod and the islands. tonight, clouds, fog, a few sprinkles. tomorrow quick drying during the my morning, into the afternoon. temperatures staying warm before we begin to cool back down with developing sun on friday. speaking of friday, can't rule out a few flurries. south and east of concord early morning, before it dries out statewide.
