coverage of the first votes in dixville notch. erin: in other news this morning a grafton man is facing charges after state police say he was clocked going 105 miles per hour on intestate 93. a trooper says he spotted 26-year-old tyler murch speeding through holderness on saturday night. it took the trooper three miles to catch up to the car and stop it. murch is now charged with reckless operation. sean: a purple heart is being returned today to the family of a new hampshire war hero. eugene victor call was killed in world war two' s battle of the bulge back in 1945. recently, the vermont group purple hearts reunited got a call from a man in massachusetts who said he found call' s purple heart, along with some other medals and personal items. the purple heart will be returned to his family this afternoon during a special ceremony at the newport veterans club. erin: manchester' s police chief had a little fun over the weekend. he let loose during a child' s birthday party.

[laughter] kevin: i' ll take that silence as a no. we started off this morning with snowfall developing from south to north. the wind is already picking up. gusting out of the north at 20 to 25 miles an hour. a few gusts along the coastline over 35 miles an hour. general light snow falling across the state this afternoon and this evening. general three to five inches of accumulation. it will be one of those fluffier snows that has a tendency to parliament quite a bit fairly easily. sorry light nature to that snow. still some lingering snow showers around tomorrow. it does look like the light snow we will have this afternoon and this evening will start to taper+

then flurries on wednesday and thursday. especially in the north country. arrival time late morning early afternoon for some areas. gradually navigating from south to north later on this morning and through the afternoon. but at the height of this, for the lighter snow, a general three to five inches looks to be about 3:00 to 4:00 this afternoon to about just after midnight tonight. about 75% of any accumulation will occur during that time. expecting the potential of gusts over 25, even 30 miles an hour. it will reduce visibility and allow the snow tube oh around. temperatures early this morning just aren' t going to move up that much. maybe by just a couple of degrees in the afternoon. here comes the snow in the

could be as much as two and a half inches in some southern and southeastern areas. we will continue to go through the evening and overnight before lightening up early tomorrow. and an additional half-inch inch to an inch in places. with that, there will be the potential for the occasional snow shower activity totaling up to a little bit more on top of of snow. wednesday and thursday with a mostly cloudy sky. a friend comes through with very cold air. as we stop this for you, by the time i get toward the evening commute a mother could be an inch or two for southern areas with lesser amounts and a light coating for central parts of the state. expecting things to be slick by the time we get there as well. temperatures in the low-to-mid 20' s before dropping into the teens tonight. temperatures overnight will continue to cool off.
