kevin: another winter storm making its way into the granite state. we will have the latest timeline and how much we can expect. sean: the clock is winding down for presidential campaigns in new hampshire. there are a lot of voters who say they have not made up their minds. erin: all of the candidates have busy schedules, trying to reach as many people as they can. announcer: no one covers new hampshire like we do. now, wmur news 9 daybreak.

thank you for starting your day with us. sean: good morning. we are tracking more snow headed our way and you can see we have several school announcements scrolling at the bottom of your screen including schools that are closed and letting out early. kevin: three to five inches of snow across most of the state. a lot of that falling this afternoon and this evening before tapering off. it will be light and fluffy. there is a good breeze. it is going to blow around easily and reduce visibility later this afternoon into the evening. it will arrive in southern parts of the state either side of lunchtime. in the north country, upper teens to mid 20' s today. snowfall picking up later this afternoon. three to five inches of snow over six possibility for southeastern spots.

we are joined by deb davidson. deb: it does remain quiet on the major roads as you had to work this morning. we see minor delays on 93 north and south, right around hooksett at exit 10. use caution through that stretch. 293, some building volume. and minor cap of the brakes at the lane shift between exit five and the everett turnpike. no problems heading out to the seacoast from 101 to manchester, all the way to portsmouth. from the massachusetts border to the maine border, if you are heading into massachusetts, it 95. very light of volume. dunkin donuts. i am deb davidson.

latest forecast and list of school closings, delays, and early releases on our website. you can track the storm and look at the latest radar to see when the snow is going to reach you. sean: by this time tomorrow morning we will have our first results from the 2016 new hampshire presidential primary. voters in dixville notch, hart' s location and millsfield will all cast ballots at midnight tonight. erin: the candidates are almost out of time to win support and there are a lot of undecided voters in new hampshire. wmur' s ray brewer is live in manchester with reaction from some of those who are still trying to make up their minds. ray: our latest tracking poll found that 39% of likely democratic voters are still making up their minds and more than half of republicans are undecided. with that in mind and record turnout expected, there are still a lot of votes up for

voters have a lot to consider, especially on the republican side, where there are so many candidates. we caught up with a few undecided voters to find out what they are looking for in the campaigns. >> there is a level of experience, especially with k- kasich and christie where i would feel comfortable with them making the day in and day out decisions. rubio has that charisma and that excites me but i' m not certain on his experience though. >> i' m looking for someone who is going to be good on foreign policy, and going to be a good stuff and has the experience and not just trying to fake it. ray: many of the undecided voters that we spoke to said they were close to choosing a s republican debate. but after hearing the candidates on stage many of the voters are back to square one. reporting live in manchester, ray brewer, wmur news 9. sean: nearly all of the major candidates are spending the last

right here in new hampshire. erin: democrat bernie sanders, who is leading the polls in the granite state, has "get out the vote" rallies planned in nashua, manchester, derry and durham today. during a rally yesterday in portsmouth he called for a redistribution of wealth in america and talked about his plan to pull off a revolution. >> we will get them done because people will demand that they get done. erin: fellow democrat hillary clinton returns to new hampshire today for get out the vote rallies of her own in manchester and hudson. after a couple events yesterday morning in manchester she flew to flint michigan to get a first hand look at that city' s water problems. >> it would be like being here in manchester, and you' re getting brown, smelly water out of your faucet, out of your bath and you go and you tell everybody. you say this water smells, this water' s bad. i' m breaking out with a rash, i' ve got a headache and

t worry about it. it' s fine. that was just a lie. sean: on the republican side donald trump continues to lead the polls in new hampshire. he has town halls today in salem, manchester and londonderry followed by a rally at the verizon wireless arena. yesterday he had a bit of an unusual message for the crowd at a rally at plymouth state. he told them to either vote for him or stay home. his sons are also holding events today rallying support for , trump. ted cruz is spending his day in barrington, raymond and manchester. yesterday he spoke to crowds in peterborough and keene telling supporters that his first priority is economic growth. he also addressed recent discussions of requiring women to register for the draft calling the notion quote wrong. marco rubio has both a town hall and a rally planned today in nashua. during events yesterday the republican defended his experience and record, and discussed social security, health care, and strengthening the military. john kasich has a busy day with town hall meetings in plaistow, windham, merrimack and manchester followed by a rally

he has focused his campaign on new hampshire and says he has tried to avoid any mud-slinging. yesterday he called on the other candidates to pull their negative ads and instead focus on their own goals. erin: chris christie is holding a series of town halls today in hudson, hampstead and manchester. yesterday he was riding high off his performance in saturday' s debate and targeted marco rubio , saying the florida senator lacks the experience to lead a country. >> everything that you bring to the table from your life is what really matters, and that is the point that i have been trying to make all week. what you have done in your life matters. erin: jeb bush has a luncheon in nashua followed by a town hall in portsmouth today. he says he is the only republican candidate willing to go after donald trump. bush also says that of the 3 current and former governors in the race, he has the most conservative record. he added that his campaign will continue no matter what happens

>> you, in new hampshire, can set the stage for what the race looks like going forward and i am sick and tired of politicians who put people down to make them feel better, because it' s not about them it' s about you. sean: carly fiorina will be in manchester and concord today. she held a series of events yesterday and said she is opposed to abortion. except in cases of rape or incensed, -- rape or ins cest, saying it should then be up to the woman. we have a full slate of political coverage for you today. the candidates will make their final pitches to voters right here on wmur at 5:00. then at 6:00, we' ll visit the candidates on the campaign trail followed by a special edition of new hampshire chronicle featuring some of the granite state' s voting traditions. a special show called setting the stage will air at 10:00. and then a wrap up of all the final campaigning on news 9 at 11:00. erin: there will likely be very long lines at the polls tomorrow. you can register to vote on site tomorrow. you will have to show proof of identity, age, citizenship, and where you live. undeclared voters will be allowed to choose either a

sean: 22 degrees around plymouth. light snow developing early to mid afternoon. looking at a general three to five inches of accumulation. more in a few spots. the details in the year matt. erin: a lot of people are going to have a day off from school. moving on this morning, rescuers pulled two survivors from the rubble of a toppled apartment building in taiwan overnight two days after a powerful earthquake. sean: the death toll from the magnitude 6.4 quake has now risen to 37 with more than a hundred people still believed to be buried. one woman was found alive , protected by the body of her husband. officials say they have founds signs of life from two others still trapped, including an eight-year-old girl but they

them yet. erin: the united nations security council has now condemned north korea' s launch weekend. world leaders have called the launch an intolerable provocation. the u.n. also pledged to quickly adopt significant new sanctions against north korea though china is reluctant to impose economic measures and force refugees across the border. however the launch was on the country' s most important holiday. sean: there is quite a cleanup effort underway in wisconsin after a parking lot gave way beneath more than a dozen cars. but that parking lot was actually just a frozen lake and the ice couldn' t support all the weight. organizers were using the lake for a local winter festival but temperatures rose above freezing and the ice started to melt. at least 10 cars are considered a total loss. the good news is that no one was hurt. erin: i do not know if i could do it, even if they said it was fine. coming up, cars weren'

announcer: no one covers new hampshire like we do. now, wmur news 9 daybreak. erin: good morning. in less than 24 hours new hampshire voters will begin casting their ballots in the first in the nation primary. sean: the first votes will be cast at midnight in hart' s location, dixville notch and millsfield. the latest wmur-cnn tracking poll shows that donald trump is leading the republicans in new hampshire. bernie sanders is leading on the democratic side. secretary of state bill gardner is expecting a record voter turnout for tomorrow' s primary , even with a storm headed our way today. the storm is making its to new hampshire right now. the snow is expected to start falling later this morning and

tomorrow morning. most of the state is expected to see between three and 5 inches but areas in the far southeastern part of the state could pick up more. erin: we have more than 100 schools canceling or having an early release. what is the snow going to be like? >> it falls from the upper teens to mid 20' s. heavily, but we will have the wind. that will gust 30 to 35 miles per hour, making the snow blow around. it starts to arrive in southern areas either side of lunchtime. there will be some southeastern areas that wind up with fluffy snow.

at midnight we' ll have live coverage of the first votes in dixville notch. erin: in other news this a grafton man is facing charges after state police say he was clocked going 105 miles per hour on intestate 93. a trooper says he spotted 26-year-old tyler murch speeding through holderness on saturday night. it took the trooper three miles to catch up to the car and stop it. murch is now charged with sean: a purple heart is being returned today to the family of a new hampshire war hero. eugene victor call was killed in world war two' s battle of the bulge back in 1945. recently, the vermont group purple hearts reunited got a call from a man in massachusetts who said he found call' s purple heart, along with some other medals and personal items. the purple heart will be returned to his family this afternoon during a special ceremony at the newport veterans club. erin: let the celebrating begin. broncos fans are in high spirits

kevin: the clouds continue to thicken. snow developing early morning and afternoon. some wind to go along with it. wind gusting over 35 miles per hour. in some spots, as much as six inches of accumulation. sean: people in london are breathing a sigh of relief this morning after an explosion on a bridge turned out to be just a stunt. erin: a double decker was crossing the bridge when it suddenly burst into flames. people in the area were terrified, thinking it may be a terrorist attack. but they later learned that this was just a stunt for jackie chan' s new movie, "the

one woman says she was at a nearby playground with her kids when the explosion went off. >> i really thought what i was looking at was possible a major event. erin: the production team says it sent out a flyer, alerting the public about the stunt, but many people did not see it. sean: a wayward sea lion is recovering this morning after being found in an unlikely place. the staff at a california restaurant called marine room says the sea lion pup came right in and took a nap in a booth. sadly, the pup was extremely underweight and desperately needed help. it was taken to sea world where it will be fattened up before hopefully it is returned to the wild. erin: thankfully getting the help it needs. a twitter photo that' s now going viral has many people asking who is the mom? the photo shows a woman with her 16-year-old twin daughters but they all look a lot alike. the mom is actually the woman raising her hand. the 35-year-old says she maintains her youthful look by drinking a lot of water,

emotional inner beauty. they all look like sisters. turning now to sports. this morning denver broncos fans are celebrating their team' s big win in super bowl 50. sean: the broncos and the north carolina panthers faced off in santa clara, california. tom brady was there as the super bowl mvp' s of the past were honored before the game. in the first quarter, the broncos were up 3-0 when denver' s von miller got the strip sack. and malik jackson recovered the fumble in the end zone for the denver touchdown, the broncos led 13-7 at halftime. in the second half, the panthers turned the ball over 4 times and cam newton was sacked 7 times. denver won 24-10. peyton manning won his second super bowl in what was likely his last nfl game. >> it' s special to share this with your teammates, your coaches. it has been a unique season, we have had a bunch of tough,

you can' t help but reflect on the people who have or if -- the people who have helped you get to this point. i am looking forward to celebrating with my family and friends. sean: von miller was named the super bowl mvp. erin: on the hard court. the celtics played at home sunday against the sacramento kings. rajon rondo finished with a double-double 14 points and 15 assists. but the game was never really in jeopardy for boston. six players scored in double figures and the celtics went on to win it 128-119. that' s four straight wins for the c' s. boston is now in third place in the eastern conference. sean: dozens of dare devils took part in an interesting event in new mexico on sunday. more than 100 people competed in the 37th annual angel fire shovel race championships. the competition consists of people sitting on aluminum shovels and riding down a hill, trying to get the fastest time.
