erin: we begin with a story that' s developing now at noon, new charges filed against a manchester gym teacher accused of soliciting inappropriate pictures from a young girl. good afternoon. i' m erin fehlau. police say he posed online as a girl to get the student to send him pictures. wmur' s kristen carosa is in manchester with the latest details. kristen: erin, this investigation started last year, that' s when this teacher was now he faces more than a dozen charges related to child pornography. paul johnson-yarosevich, a former manchester elementary school gym teacher, was arrested in 2015 by manchester police for posing as a girl online to get a student to send him pictures of herself. the young girl' s father reported that his daughter was being contacted by someone online. investigators say the girl did

her herself. at the time, johnson-yarosevich, who' s from maine, was charged with a felony count of prohibited use of computer services for using the internet to attempt to seduce, solicit, lure, or entice a person. parents at the school were notified, and the district cooperated in the investigation. now, nearly a year later, johnson-yarosevich is facing more than a dozen charges, including distribution of child sex abuse images. according to court documents, johnson-yarosevich knowingly sold, exchanged, or otherwise transferred visual representations of a minor engaging or being engaged in sexually-explicit conduct. court documents say the pictures were sent out through facebook in december of 2014. school officials placed johnson-yarosevich on unpaid leave last year and now no longer employed. a pre-trial hearing is set for march 24. live in manchester, kristen carosa, wmur news 9.

the massachusetts teen, convicted of killing his math teacher, is about to learn his fate. 17-year-old philip chism is in court right now, where he' s set to be sentenced for first-degree murder, aggravated rape, and armed robbery. chism was 14 year old when he killed his teacher, 24-year-old colleen ritzer, at danvers high school. nine people gave victim impact statements at his sentencing, including the victim' s parents. peggy ritzer: i wish i could have helped colleen, but no one knew what evil sat in her room that day. our lives will never be the same. we will never be feel the happiest we did before that horrific day. and the gaping hole in our lives will never be filled. erin: prosecutors are asking that chism be sentenced to at least 50 years in prison. right now, it' s a bright, breezy day across the state. we do have a live look at meredith where the great rotary fishing derby has kicked off. temperatures are in the upper 20'

>> now, meteorologist kevin skarupa with your stormwatch 9 forecast. kevin: highs yesterday in a lot of areas in the 50' wind chills now in the single digits, teams to lower 20' s. a huge change over the last 24 hours over some areas where you were probably in shorts yesterday morning and then seeing snow late in the day. while that colder air continues to come in and now, we have seen some places report anywhere between 2.5 inches to as much as accumulation.

south, plenty of blue sky in southern areas. it is in the wind, which has been gusting over 30 miles an hour, producing that extra bit e to the air that continues. that breeze noticeable tonight, tomorrow, all the way through the weekend, and likely into monday with the next front approaching. you will notice play of clouds and snow showers being wrung out with the last of the moisture in the great north woods. weak enough high-pressure that we likely clear skies outcome of but we keep the wind going during the evening and overnight hours. storm tracker is not showing a lot of snow. obviously it is still snowing in the north direction, and we will see that light snow slowly wither away for the afternoon, early this evening before finally dying off. temperatures in the teens. in pittsburgh, the temperature there is 8. in southern spots, the wind, which has been sustained over 20

it is a little bit different than american-style in that all of the fresh vegetables are diced small and then toss with a very simple dressing. olive oil. it is really simple to do. if you, have any young, budding chefs, these vegetables are a because they are easy to cut. erin: so we have got peppers -- fred: peppers, onions, cucumbers, catch-up session erin: and some herbs. fred: just parsley and a little bit of dill. we shake this up. erin: you say just olive oil and lemon? fred: in this one, i put a little bit of sumac in a little bit of salt and pepper -- that is all. and then you just toss it. very healthy.

fred: you can actually make the lettuce roll ups. i have got some hummus right here. chickpeas. erin: that is great with the role of spirit of children love that. and this is something you can get at celebration. fred: yes. erin: you brought in a number of things that you are selling for families. fred: chicken parmesan with in a pasta -- with penne pasta. barbecue pulled pork with xavier mac and cheese,, xavier named after my grandson. erin: a lot of people are calling in for lunch, right? delivery now, so office groups or a couple of people to deliver it home -- absolutely. and eat as well. fred: yes. erin: what are the hours?
