this morning the alleged shooter, army staff sergeant, ronald hamilton, is behind bars. he faces a list of charges including first-degree murder. he also killed his wife before opening fire on arriving officers. the county prosecutor says he will likely seek the death penalty. erin: there will be a moment of silence today in memory of officer guindon where her death has hit many people in the community very hard. merrimack police officers were tasked with informing officer guindon's parents of her death. amy coveno live in merrimack with reaction from the community. amy? amy: good morning, erin. the flag here lowered to half staff in honor of officer ashley guindon and their message board here paying tribute to her service and sacrifice as well. officer guindon was born in springfield, massachusetts before her family moved to merrimack where she graduated from high school. she was also a marine corps reservist who

erin: thank you. investigators are trying to identify the body of a hiker found dead on the trail between mt. adams and jefferson and figure out how he died. fish and game say that two hikers discovered the body of a white man weighing more than 200 pounds. rescue crews were not able to get the body off of the trail until early today. they didn't find anything suspicious at the scene. they will try to determine the cause of death sometime today. sean: turning to politics now and super tuesday is just 24 hours away. the biggest day in the race for the white house before the general election itself in november. hillary clinton and donald trump are poised to take control of their respective nominations. there's new controversy this morning. stephanie ramos reports from virginia. one of the states that will vote tomorrow. >> this could be it. super tuesday where 595
