police in atkinson are investigating a deadly car accident. it happened around 9:30 last night on pope road. police say it appears 64-year-old francine jolivet was leaving a driveway when the vehicle sped across the road and hit a large rock. jolivet was not wearing a seatbelt and passed away at the scene. a man charged in connection with a hit-and-run in laconia is due in court today. 54-year-old juan padua was arrested yesterday on charges including felony conduct after an accident. police say he hit a bicyclist at the intersection of court and fair sts off from the scene. a tractor-trailer driver is recovering after crashing his rig in woodstock. woodstock fire says next and happen on route 118 -- the accident happened on route 118 roger clemens 30 the afternoon. the driver hurt his leg and went to the hospital. it took eight hours to clear the

some granite state residents may hear low flying fighter jets today. the national guard and civil air patrol will be doing exercises in lebanon and franklin. you could see low-flying f-15's shadowing civilian planes. again, this is only a training exercise. with less than a week until the new hampshire primary, democratic and republican candidates for governor faced off in two different debates here at news 9 last night. the republican candidates agreed on a few topics, like supporting donald trump for president, and not supporting a state minimum wage. state senator jeanie forrester, executive sununu, manchester mayor ted gatsas, and state representative frank edelblut drew differences on the drug crisis. and mental health background checks to buy a gun. >> the problem we have with this arbitrary mental health list is it opens a whole world of confusion and privacy issues when it comes to who's classified as being mentally ill. >> if they've been adjuticated in a court of law, they should

sean: police say a terrorism investigation is underway in france after a car parked near the notre dame cathedral was found with gas canisters inside. the car was discovered sunday morning with its hazard lights on, no license plates, and no one inside. six canisters filled with gas were in the trunk. the couple that owns the car is now in custody. france is on alert after a
