alpine are responding to an active shooter situation at a high school good the department of public safety said someone brought a gun to the campus this morning. that school and two others are on lockdown right now as police search for a suspect. a local hospital says three victims are being treated but would not release details of their injuries. also breaking this noon, at least 4 people are in custody after a student was shot outside morning. the injured student ran outside the school after being shot and was treated by a school nurse until paramedics arrived here at also right now at noon, a hooksett man wanted for beating an elderly man during a robbery is under arrest. good afternoon. i'm kristen carosa. police took thomas ford into custody as he arrived for work this morning. ray brewer is live outside the scene of the robbery, and ray, is there an update on the victim's condition?

however the clerk here at the , store says she spoke to the victim's life and the wife was very relieved to learn that an arrest had been made. when 20-year-old thomas ford of hooksett showed up for work thursday morning, at serv pro in hooksett, police officers were waiting for him. >> we were in an unmarked unit and apparently he didn't notice it. ray: according to police, ford was responsible for robbing han's food mart at the corner of maple street and lake avenue in manchester. during the robbery the 81-year-old store owner, young hun yun, was beaten. the injuries were significant and yun was taken to the hospital. >> it's such a violent attack. ray: at the time of the robbery police say ford was armed with a semi-automatic weapon. hooksett's police chief says that factored in when they made the arrest. >> we considered him armed and dangerous and when the officers approached him they had all that information and took that into consideration. ray: ford surrendered without incident. the case remains under investigation, and hooksett's

used will have to come from manchester police. however, the chief added that he was impressed by how quickly manchester police put this case together. ray: they were able to get the warrant done and signed by the district court judge and just the cooperative effort by both agencies to get this guy placed in custody and get him off the street. ray: ford has been charged with armed robbery and first degree assault. it's possible he could be arraigned this afternoon, but police say it's more likely that he will arraigned tomorrow. ray brewer, wmur news 9. kristen: ray, thank you. right now a chicago woman is in -- right now three people in the hospital after this crash on i-89 in lebanon. state police say 27-year-old bianca williams of chicago was heading south when she got distracted and slammed into the guardrail near exit 20. her suv rolled over and was sideswiped by another suv. williams was taken to the hospital. she has life-threatening

condition. two people in the other suv were also taken to the hospital but are expected to be ok. at noon, the areas facing extreme drought conditions is growing again. it now includes parts of merrimack county, plus all of rockingham county and more of strafford county. and starting today in portsmouth, the city is putting a complete lawn watering ban into effect. you can still hand-water vegetable gardens and perennials. but it means the previous odd-even restrictions are no longer in effect. some relief, let's check in with meteorologist kevin skarupa. kevin: it has been a very long, very dry stretch and the granite state, and it doesn't look like the pattern starts to shift quite yet. as we slowly go into the on season you expect most of the day or all day rains will be in the offing. we have had quite a few clouds building in during the morning hours but that will continue to

investigators are hoping that the suspect can give information about islamic state's in europe. and identify others who may have been involved in the attack that killed 130 people. flag from ground zero that disappeared from the rubble of the world trade center after 9/11 has been found. the flag was brought to a fire station in everett, washington, two years ago by a man who claimed to be a marine. it was eventually sent to the washington state patrol crime lab for forensic analysis to ground zero flag. the scientist who examined the flag discussed his findings. >> if you look at the original photograph from 9/11, you see a certain black electric tape holding two lines together and they had the same general profile, so i knew then this could be it. kristen: the iconic flag is being unveiled today at the 9/11 memorial and museum built on the
