home on mill pond road around 1:00 this afternoon for reports of a suicidal man. that triggered a shelter in place for all people who live in this area. police tell us they tried to get to the man and talk him out of the situation but they had no luck, the man was later found dead inside his home to an apparent suicide. police are not releasing any more information on that individual while they continue to notify family members, all of this of course triggering horrific memories of when officer stephen arkell was killed. >> it's scary, you know, when you don't know what's going on. that was horrific, because it was so violent. but the explosion too was incredible. you don't forget that kind of stuff. >> honestly the guys did a fantastic job, i don't think anybody even thought about that while this was going on. they may reflect on that now.

back into their homes around 4:30 this afternoon. police expect to release more information later on tonight. live in brentwood, i'm cherise leclerc, wmur news 9. tom: tonight an east kingston man has been charged with six counts of possession of child sexual abuse images. police say his arrest comes after an investigation that lasted several months. wmur's jennifer crompton is live at the police department with more. reporter: this investigation involved several police departments asel f.b.i., following a tip from the new hampshire internet crimes against children task force. 44-year-old chris murphy of east kingston was arrested early wednesday morning at his home. >> we were able to have the suspect stand aside and we went the and cleared the house and then began our search for the contraband that we were looking for.

find? >> no. reporter: police say it was in plain view. >> we were able to find on initial search we found approximately six videos, images of child pornography. reporter: east kingston police say they were tippedded off by the new hampshire internet crimes task force. >> it was a single family residence and it appears he was the only one with acc portion of the house where we found the computer and other images. reporter: they don't expect more arrests, but say the investigation is ongoing. >> this is really in its infancy. we actually seized some computers and some other media to where images and videos could be stored on. reporter: murphy is an employee of the wmur sales department and has been suspended pending the outcome of this case.
