girls back in june but police say there are more victims. wmur's ray brewer is live in bedford, and ray, the police chief says there is violation of privacy and that is something that they are dealing with on an increasing basis. ray: that's right, adam. the reason that they are seeing the increase is because of the proliferation of mobile devices and their size. 23-year-old zachery bishop admitted to recording two young girls as they undressed in a target dressing room in bedford. as part of the plea bargain, bishop pled guilty to two counts of violation of privacy. back on june 22, bishop recorded the two girls, ages 14 and 16, in the dressing room of the target on south river road. bishop admitting he used his cell phone while he was in a dressing room adjacent to the girls. >> one of the two females did

the subject fled. ray: that led to an investigation, and bishop was subsequently identified and arrested. the chief says this case should serve as a warning to everyone to be aware of their surroundings. >> certainly if they see anyone acting suspicious, out of the ordinary, certainly anyone who's holding a mobile device that makes them feel uncomfortable in any nature, certainly alert store officials police department. ray: the chief says they did search bishop's cell phone, and as a result they know there are more victims. >> we're still looking for 3 other females that may have been recorded on june 13 or june 22. ray: the chief says that if additional victims come forward they will prosecute. as a result of the plea bargain bishop won't do any time as long as he remains on good behavior for two years. however, he must also undergo a psycho-sexual evaluation and follow any recommendations.

brewer, wmur news 9. adam: noon, we have learned a shooting in manchester has turned deadly. officers responded to merrimack and beech street's just before 7:00 last night. the attorney general's office said they found an injured man taken to the hospital who later died. an autopsy is being done to determine the exact cause and manner of his death. today after police say he threatened to blow up the police station. at around 2:00 this morning, laconia police were called to bay street after 45-year-old warren bears, allegedly armed with a machete, was making threats to blow up the police department using a propane tank. the state police bomb squad did examine the devices as a precaution. he is charged with criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and use of a molotov cocktail. right now there is a significant , expansion of drought conditions in new hamsphire.

county is now in extreme drought and it also extends to a small portion of cheshire county. the u.s. drought monitor, which tracks drought conditions in states, says more than 19% of the state is under extreme drought conditions. that is up from 12% just last week. it's one week away but fall is in the air here in the granite state. let's send it right over to meteorologist kevin skarupa to see how thst is shaping up. kevin: temperatures dropping back into the 40's and 50's. we are looking at temperatures to be four or five degrees cooler this evening. temperatures this afternoon are hard-pressed to get back above 70. 60's elsewhere. with the clear skies and light winds tonight, we are looking at temperatures to freefall yet again. looks like lower and mid 30's

nasa actually captured this satellite image of a lightning streak inside the typhoon. the storm clocked some of the strongest sustained winds on record at 190 miles per hour. meteorologists say the system was weakened as it moves north. president obama will establish the first national marine monument in the atlantic ocean today. the white house says the move will protect nearly 5,000 square miles of underwater canyons and mountains off the new england coast. the area is situated 130 miles southeast of cape cod. georges bank. the designation will protect the area from commercial development. that includes barring undersea drilling and mining, as well as commercial fishing activity. recreational fishing in the area will still be allowed. that typhoon, 190-mile an hour winds, tough to conceive of. kevin: in the pacific, bigger ocean and it allows a lot more time for those to develop.

expanding our kids' boundaries. adam: what makes a good program? what should a parent be looking for? kate: we often think we are giving kids more homework time, but often they are done by 3:00. looking for something interesting and engaging for them exposing them to good things -- cooking, maybe looking at rob especially for younger kids who did not find the niche. adam: you mentioned the younger kids. what about adolescents? once they get into middle school it is just as important to keep them active and involved. kate: it really is and we do a good job sometimes of programming for younger kids, but when you get to tweens and teens, you don't know what to do. the teens should be engaged as well.

there is a lot of opportunities in local schools and afterschool programs looking for teenagers that want to mentor younger kids. you have teenagers that are learning. great facilitation skills. career academic pathways. younger kids have the mentor they may not be getting at home. adam: what if you are lucky to have that time free to be involved? kate: there is lots -- for sometimes it is easier to volunteer between 5:00 and 7:00. families should look, for example -- extension has a lot of great clubs that meet in the nighttime and a variety of areas he can explore something with their kids to further the connection. i would encourage parents to not just get their kids signed up for the families to sign up as well. adam: kate, great advice.
