deb: good morning, kevin. all of the heavy rain is causing significant delays. right now we're seeing some heavy delays on the everett turnpike southbound. heavy and slow on the northbound side. 93 south is stop and go traffic. in northwood, some heavy delays at 202 and route 4. in massachusetts, a serious crash on southbound at route 3 in lowell. only the right lane is squeaking by. we're seeing some significant delays through the stretch as well. from the traffic network, i'm deb davidson for 95.7 wzid. sean: thanks. topping our news, space is getting tight in concord this morning. it is not just because of a massive rescue last week. erin: shelter officials say animals continue to pour in over the weekend. their finances are running thin. ray brewer joins us now

ray: the spca shelter in concord took in 40 animals on thursday. most of those rescued from a local apartment. over the weekend they took over care for another 27 animals, including eight very sick puppy. one of those puppies, named pickle, is receiving critical care. last year the shelter took in 21 animals. this year the number is at 68. they are even using bathrooms as overflow creating a financial strain. just the number of spayings and neutering needed was expensive of the sick puppies add an extra cost. >> clearly feeding the animals is the number one priority as well as all of the medical care. anyone interested in helping are welcome to drop off any kind of supplies that you would need to clean a home or help take care of an animal. sean: now the spca did hold a

lot. other donations are coming in as well. they hope that all of the animals will be available for adoption. they are asking for patients as they handle the unusual numbers. in the studio, ray brewer, wmur news 9. erin: all right. thanks. sean: one person is dead after a motorcycle crashed on route 28 in londonderry last night. police say the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash near the restaurant just before 8:00. the road was closed for several hours because of this. the cause of the crash remains under investigation. new this morning, a teenager from new fields is recovering from serious injuries after crashing his atv in sanddown. fish and game say the teen was riding alone when he lost control in the soft sand and crashed over an embankment. they say he was wearing all of the proper protective gear. the man accused of robbing the bank of america in manchester last week is expected to

27-year-old justin brady was arrested on friday and charged with robbery. police say they think brady also cased another bank in the city and was recognized by employees there. erin: the fbi is now questioning five people in connection with the explosion in manhattan on saturday that injured 29 people. the five people were detained after a traffic stop. so far no charges have been announced. now officials want to know if there's any connection to the devices found in new rs nbc's ray ramundi reports. reporter: good morning. multiple law enforcement agencies saying the news that happened here right behind me and the one that happened in seaside park new jersey could belinged by what appear to be similar cell phones used to detonate both devices.

keslowski. next week it is here in new hampshire. erin: a man got himself into an unusual predictment. his head got stuck. the man dropped his phone in the water and tried to get it back, but ended up getting his head lodged between the rocks. firefighters worked for two and a half hours to free him. they could not use air bags, because the rocks could have shifted. they went with a different method. >> lots of olive oil did the trick. we managed to spray him down and applied a lot of olive oil. we were able to dislodge him. he was in good spirits. he's a healthy 31-year-old male. erin: the man was treated to hypothermia and a minor injury to his foot. they got him out. sean: the cdc is urging chicken owners to refrain from kissing
