let's go live to wmur's andy hershberger, who's at the allenstown police department with new details. andy: police say the suspect was armed with two knives when he entered the home and started stabbing the people inside. he faces 11 felony-level charges, five or first for allegedly stabbing three people last night. residence a little before 11:00. he stabbed the people inside left the scene. police say one of the victims is an ex-girlfriend of lennon's. police located lennon a short distance away hiding under a bed at his mobile home. police say they recovered the two knives and lennon was taken into custody. >> there was substantial injuries. one is civil condition in hospital, one was released last night.

police say the rumors grew and spread quickly because of the power of social media. >> the information that was moved about wasn't completely accurate. ray: back in 2014 there was a student arrested, the 16-year-old had made a list with 5 students' names on it. that student was charged with criminal threatening. police say this situation was completely different. >> we exhausted all leads until we were able to prove that this threat was not credible and that the kids were safe to attend alvirne high school this difficulty getting through. >> this morning i was looking on facebook to try and see what to get a pulse of what our community was saying. >> i think a lot of people heard rumors or read rumors, or posted rumors that were simply not true . ray: so police posted their own message assuring the community that there was no danger to the students. the school district also posted a similar message. the police chief says he can understand parents being worried, but -- >> if there was a greater concern different actions would have been taken by the school
