now wmur "news 9 daybreak." erin: good friday morning, new hampshire. and thanks for joining us. i'm erin fehlau. sean: good morning. beautiful day out there yesterday. today the first full day of fall. it is going to start to feel like it out there. kevin: it is. we have a cold front approaching the state. with that, rainfall up north. a couple of scattered showers. looks like as we go through the day today, we'll contend with the passing showers. most organized up north and a southern areas into the afternoon. temperatures still warm ahead of the front as it makes its way through. a couple of heavier downpours up in the north country. any sort of rainfall anywhere across the state is not a bad thing at this point. 60's for most. a few upper 50's. highways today still going from the mid to upper 60's to pushing 80 in a couple of southern location big changes not far away. all of the details coming up. let's look at your friday morning ride

we start off with clouds that have been drifting in. rainfall has been making its way into the north country overnight. we've been looking at shower activity. we're going to continue to see it slowly slide south. we're not expecting the rainfall totals in southern areas that we're seeing play out up north. it is a half an inch of rain. you can see the most organized of it with a certain back edge through northern parts of new york. the front itself will have a broken line of showers making its way across the state into southern areas by later on this afternoon. as far as the m currently going through the north country this morning, the front itself still back out through the great lakes will be sliding across southern areas later this afternoon. ahead of that, we're fair game for scattered showers. best chance for southern areas will be this afternoon. we'll continue to see the rainfall fade up north. a quick third of an inch to half an inch of rainfall. it is all rainfall for the time being. we are looking farther south. just some clouds and sprinkles out there. nothing that's going to slow you down too much

sean: a pot growing operation was found. 28-year-old jonathan weaver and arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled drug. erin: the extreme drought continues to take a big toll on new hampshire farmers. the farm in milford say it lost the entire crop of christmas trees it planted this past spring. the farmer says the impact is far more severe than the last significant drought back >> this is probably twice as bad for us. we plant about 1,000 trees a year. in 2 000, we lost about 500 of those. maybe in some of the areas where the soil is shallower. here we lost everything. the whole 1,000 we planted is dead. erin: more mature christmas trees survived and will be ready for harvest. in auburn, the fire department is helping people who are worried about their wealth.
