them to come forward. sean: they have not said how ely met the children. if he's able to post bail, he's been ordered to stay away from anyone under the age of 16. erin: pinkerton academy is addressing concerns that some students wore racist outfits for spirit week. griffin morris says the administration become aware of the behavior yesterday afternoon. a concerned parent told news 9 that one student was seen wearing bla a confederate flag. the students in question have been talked to and the that school does not tolerate any attacks on another person. the incident remains under investigation. sean: a man convicted of using a gun has been sentenced to five years behind bars. 28-year-old sean miller was sentenced in federal court in concord after police searched his home in keene and found a shotgun along with drug records and paraphernalia.

accountable informant four different times last year. erin: a tulsa police officer is charged with first-degree manslaughter less than a week after she shot and killed an unarmed man. officer betty shelby quote reacted unreasonably when she shot 40-year-old terence crutcher. documents say she become emotionally involved to the point she over reacted. it shows her walking away and does not clearly show the meanwhile protesters filled the streets of charlotte for a third night. for the most part, they lacked the violence and property damage seen earlier this week. the national guard helped protect buildings. peaceful protesters were allowed to remain in the streets. so far police have resisted pressure to release video showing the deadly police shooting that prompted the protest, saying it would undermine the investigation. sean: the chase for the cup is

of fans expected at the new hampshire motor speedway f the bad boy off road 300 on sunday. ray brewer has his spot picked out this morning at the magic mile. nd of quiet there right now, ray. ray: it is quiet. but i'm joined now by sheryl as i move under the umbrella. she's the executive director of the new hampshire chapter of the speedway children's charities. we're going to work with kevin to make sure there's no rain sunday. no rain in the forecast. it is going to be beautiful, beautiful fall weather here. ray: all right. a little bit about the speedway children's charities, people may not understand what it is that you do and who benefits. >> what we do is fundraising throughout the year. all of the money that we raise goes out in grants to non-profit children's organization to help kids in need. ray: it did add up. last year you managed to donate $250,000; right?

the team is selecting donations. if you would like to donate, find a link on the web site. sean: this week's hometown hero is still learning the game of football. he's playing h way to a college scholarship. max osgood playing tight end for the nashua south football team. this is only his second season playing football, but after a lot of hard work in the off sean, he is now considered one of the best in the state. he also plays lacrosse and basketball. >> it is a different game for me. i went to camps every weekend in the summer. it is a little faster and stronger. i love racket. everyone -- obviously other teams you hear them complaining about practice. i think all of us pretty much enjoy practice for the most part. coaches, they make it fun while working us hard, you know? sean: osgood has a scholarship offer. other schools are showing interest as well. he plans to study business management while continuing his football career.

sean: this is neat. the new piscataqua bridge is almost done. the bridge connects the new boston rail trail to the library and post office. >> it is a very safe way of getting to the other section of tow and it is a wonderful nature walk. we have trails on both sides of the river. sean: very pretty there. the bridge costs about $175,000. donations covered with enough leftover for future maintenance. erin: there's exciting news for students hoping to start studying at u.n. to celebrate the 150th niversary, the university is waiving the application fee for in-state under graduate students.

pay the $50. there's nothing like hands on learning and more than 1,500 high school students from all over the state got a chance to weld, drive a big rig, lay bricks, and operate construction equipment as part of the career days. dozens of businesses took part. the event also encourages female students to consider these industries. the new hampshire chronicle will take monday, october 3rd. marriott international is now the biggest hotel chain in the world. the company closed its $13 billion buyout earlier this morning. that means that brands like marriott, courtyard, and ritz carlton are now under the same umbrella has sherton and weston. marriott passes hilton as the largest in the world.

this. sean: not only master buildings, but master drone builders. we start out with clouds. a lot more nervous the farther north that you go across the state. that's where the front is early this morning. it will continue to slide south, providing a huge range in temperature. 65 the high today in the north country maybe generous for places like pittsburgh and colebrook. in southern areas of the state, we wait on the front to be in the 70's to maybe up near 80. autumn-like weather will take over from there. the northwest picks up behind the front. high temperatures in the 50's and 60's over the weekend. some frost possible in some areas that haven't seen it saturday night and then likely away from the shoreline as we go through sunday night and early monday. there's the rainfall early this morning. this is about as organized as the rainfall will be today. the front still back out north of the great lakes.

backpack. >> we didn't feel anyone was in any danger. certainly the shock of it was alarming. there was no ammunition that we know of. the police officer searched everywhere. at no time was anyone in any danger. >> there are some charged related to handgun and other properties found in the bag. which included some drugs, drug other stolen property.e sean: officials say the student was cooperative along with t the teen could face expulsion. erin: an allenstown man accused of stabbing three people is waking up behind bars. clinton lennon is facing 11 felony charges including five counts of first-degree assault. police say he stabbed the three victims at a home in allenstown on wednesday night. the two men and one women suffered serious injuries, that includ stab wounds and cuts to their chest, backs, arms, and heads.

it was discovered after a boil issue was noticed for. isn't aiscovery of a marijuana growing operation. they found 25 pot plants at a home on south main street. a man living there, 28-year-old jonathan weaver, was arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled drug. erin: th continues to take a big toll on new hampshire farmers. miracle acres farm in milford says that it lost the entire crop of christmas trees it planted this past spring. farmer david wheeler says that the impact is far more severe than the last significant drought back in 2000. >> this is probably twice as bad for us. we plant about 1,000 trees a year. in 2000, we lost about 500 of them. maybe in some of the

more light. we'll giveou an idea of what it looks like here. you can see carpers -- campers on the hill. thing will be a lot of activity here at the speedway this weekend ahead of sunday's bad boy off road 300. last night the sprint cup hollers rolled in. a large crowd gathered to get an up close look at the colorful trucks carrying the race cars. sunday's race in the chase is the second for the championship. we caught up with sprint cup driver, kevin had to say about racing at the mag mile. >> the cars and the tires and the engines and everything really love cool weather. the longer that tngs stay cool, the faster e speeds are. the faster they stay fast for longer time periods. it is definitely going to be different than the first race. it is similar to what we usually have in the september race. ray: here's a look at what will be hapning at the track today.

that landed within several hundred yards of u.s. troops. no one was hurt in the attack. the rocket may have contained mustard agent. a fragment has been sent to a laboratory for further testing. sean: a surge underway for the gunman that opened fire inside the cvs pharmacy. three men walked into the store yesterday afternoon and got into an altercation before one of them was shot. the 18-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening wound. now police are trying to track down the other two men. >> i'm thinking it is a very brazen act. there were people in the store and other potential victims to be thankful there weren't other victims. sean: police are reviewing surveillance video in hopes of identifying the suspect. erin: now an incredible story of survival. a dog is recovering after being hit by an mbta train. the dog, named charlie, was found next to the tracks by a team
