moving well. in massachusetts, no delays on 93, 3, 95, or 495, from the traffic network, i'm deb davidson for 95.7 wzid. sean: thanks. topping the news this horning, an autopsy is scheduled for today on the body of a man killed in an officer-involved shooting in claremont. >> 25-year-old cody lafont died early yesterday morning after a confrontation with police. ray brewer is following the this morning live from the attorney general's office in concord. good morning, ray. ray: good morning. the attorney general's office leading the investigation. officials say it could take some time to figure out exactly what happened up there in claremont. they do tell us that police were called to congress street just before 5:00 yesterday morning after someone called 911 requesting service. it is not clear exactly what that call was for.

25-year-old cody lafont at the home and lafont was killed. no officers were injured in the incident. investigators will not say if there's any dash camera or body camera video showing what happened. >> we provide detail written report that sets forth all of the information gathered as well as the legal conclusions as to what if any criminal matter should be brought. this case is no different than think other of the cases. >> i'm we've lived in the neighborhood since 1985. i've never seen any problems. ray: they say it was an isolated incident and they will release more information. officials haven't released the name of the officer involved in the shooting. an autopsy planned for later today. reporting live in concord. erin: thank you. a salem man is scheduled

answer the questions that the american people have. they deserve and expect the candidates to be talking about the issues. reporter: the race couldn't be any tighter. the polls show hillary clinton holding at 26%. donald trump just two points behind. stephanie ramos, abc news, new york. sean: you can watch the debate this evening right here on wmur. coverage from hofstra university starts at 9:00. while donald trump is getting ready for the debate, his running mate will be here in new hampshire today. republican have the issue nominee, mike pence, has a rally planned at 1:30 this afternoon. doors open at 11:30. you need a ticket for this. this is pence's second visit to the granite state since becoming trump's running mate. and hillary clinton will return to new hampshire on wednesday for the first time since the democratic national convention. she will campaign at the

bernie sanders. the event will focus on student debt and college tuition. erin: a new black lives matter flag is flying over the campus after the original flag was stolen. the flag was raised late last week as a sign of solidarity and a way to speak out against racism. the flag is flying on a poll used to celebrate and support members of the university community. not everyone was happy about the flag. it was stolen sometime saturday night. >> i don't k someone would take it down. it really didn't -- i don't know. i didn't see it offending many people. >> you preach all lives matter. and then ignore a huge population of the country that we live in getting brutalized and objectified. i think it was hurtful and hateful. erin: the flag was replaced last night. police continue to inisles gait the theft. a fisherman has an incredible story of survival to tell this morning.

sean: crews saved several paintings yesterday that are now being taken away from restoration. they have removed a statue, chandelier, and bell towers as part of the effort to preserve the cultural heritage. nearly 3,000 people died and 4,000 people lost their homes. thousands of people have left their homes in cedar rapids, iowa this morning as the cedar river starts to spill its banks. the river crest tomorrow morning and 5,000 homes have been evacuated as a result. schools will closed in cedar rapids through at least wednesday. crew haves been working for days to build temporary levies to try to contain the flood waters. erin: it was a magnificent weekend at the box office. the magnificent 7 took in $35 million. that make it is one of

if you can make a positive out of. kevin: especially california. a lot of traffic. there are a lot of areas dropping back to as cold as we've been so far this season. we have the mostly clear skies. there's some fog to contend with early this morning. as we look ahead, a cold start. a lot of sunshine. highs in the 60's. pretty close to the averages. some showers will move through with a quick-moving front later on tonight. then we'll have the fair skies tomorrow afternoon and wednesday with some showers possible later this week with slow-moving system. freeze warning still up north this morning. we're talking several hours below the freezing mark. the potential there for 8:00 this morning. in central and some western areas of the state to the merrimack valley, the potential for frost early this morning. we are going to continue to see that chance of at least the frost through 7:00 or 8:00. then from there, sunshine should help quickly later on this morning as we climb into the 60's. here's the front that moves through here overnight tonight and

temperatures will be warmer by the time we get there. temperatures anywhere from near 30 up north, 32 in plymouth, to 35 in lebanon. 32 in keene this morning, 34 in jaffrey, 36 in nashua. again some patchy fog. the usual suspects will continue to see it give way to sunshine. temperatures running another five or six degrees cooler than yesterday morning. you'll notice a little bit of a warm up here in the midwest. that makes its way toward us. eventually some cooler air replaces that. highs today just about statewide up into the 60's. a little bit of a sea breeze at the coastline. inland sections light breeze out of the south and southwest. fair skies and a good deal of sunshine. increase in clouds during the evening. we get past midnight tonight, a pretty good chance of showers and it may start the day tomorrow not looking at heavy rain. maybe a quarter to a third of an inch.

setting up fair skies. temperatures in the 60's to lower 70's. from there, we'll look for any sort of morning sunshine on wednesday to give way to some clouds. there will be a system riding up the east coast slowly. that will mean some scattered shower chances. as we go through later wednesday, thursday, friday, and into saturday, none of the days looks like a tremendous washout. we will run the risk of some showers each of those days going into the end of the week with temperatures in the 60's. for the time being, we start off cold this on later on this afternoon, notice a few high clouds later on in the day. extended forecast shows temperatures bumped up a little bit tomorrow as clearing skies early. then settling into the 60's. otherwise close to the normal averages for this time of year. it will be partial sunshine on wednesday and some scattered showers thursday, friday, saturday. none of those at least right now look like complete washouts by any stretch. temperatures close to

rain, it was a beautiful weekend. kevin: gorgeous weekend. scattered showers in the forecast. sean: all right. we'll start with ray brewer. ray: the attorney general's office is leading the investigation into an officer-involved shooting in claremont that left one man dead. they were called before 5:00 sunday morning after someone called 911. it is unclear exactly what that call was for. but at some point, police said the confrontation with lafont was killed. no officers were injured in the incident. sean: a man was sentenced for using a hidden camera to record women inside a restaurant. 55-year-old joseph hennessey was convicted earlier this month. a fisherman from vermont is safe after spending more than a week a drift in a life raft. 22-year-old nathan carman was picked up by a frighter yesterday. his mother is still missing.

95 not seeing any delays. if you are heading into massachusetts right now, all major roads are up to speed. from the wzid traffic network, i'm deb davidson for 95.7wzid. erin: all right. thank you. an autopsy is being performed today on the body of a man killed in an officer-involved shooting in claremont. sean: the attorney general's office says the shooting happened shortly before 5:00 after police were called to the home on congress street. the man who been identified as 25-year-old cody lafont. ray brewer live at the ag's office. is there any word on what lead up to the shooting? ray: not yet. officials are telling us this could be a lengthy investigation as they try to figure out the circumstances surrounding this deadly officer-involved shooting. >> a little before 5:00, 5:00 a.m. i heard three gunshots. made me nervous. i didn't dare turn any lights on.

concord yesterday. firefighters had to cut down trees in order to get the driver out. the 53-year-old massachusetts man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. we could learn more details today about a stabbing at the new hampshire motor speedway in louden. two men were stabbed friday night during a fight that involved four people, the victims were taken to the hospital, and no word yet if any arrests have been made. erin: in recent years they have opened the road to vehicles. conservation officers are responding to atv-related issues while they juggle other situations like rescues. a state commission was formed earlier this year

freeze warning until 8:00. we're talking several hours below the freezing mark. essentially ending the growing season for good for a lot of folks. while in central, south western, and even a few southern hairy as of the state, we're content, a frost advisory asnds dipping back into the mid 30's, allowing frost to form. there's been some fog that has developed in areas from the plymouth. that to contend with. as that gives way, we'll have a lot of sunshine today with a few high clouds later on this afternoon. the quick-moving front arriving after midnight tonight should be ending early tomorrow morning. there's a look at temperatures. you'll notice how they go up and down town by town as cool as 33 in bedford, still 42 in hampton falls this morning. 35 in durham down through windham. 34 in hollis. you get back out into

spots here. all the way down to the freezing mark. 33 in rindge. 33 in sunapee and new london. 31 into the lakes region. you have to be aware from the lake to see that early this morning. lake water still plenty warm, relatively speaking. up in the north country, we're talking temperatures between 30 and 35 as well with a hard freeze in some spots where temperature haves dipped back below the freezing mark. the other issue this morning besides warming up the c which will take a few hours to burn off early this morning. a light wind otherwise out of the south and southwest. notice what that does to temperatures. sunshine and temperatures up into the 60's. a little bit of a sea breeze at the coastline. a few degrees cooler. tonight we'll look for an increase in clouds. overnight showers moving through after midnight. the clouds should be quivering way to sunshine. a little jump in

we should be in the 60's thereafter. you'll notice some moisture lifting north ward. this is in response to a weak area of low pressure. it maybe enough to get the flow and keep us banked up starts later wednesday and continuing through thursday and friday. with that, scattered shower activity. we aren't looking at several inches of rain out this. chances of showers always needed as we go through the doubt we're in now. the first of two systems. as far as today is concerned, we get back into the the cold fog burning off. inside in clouds and overnight a round of showers with a light wind out of the south and southwest. as far as your extended forecast is concerned, temperatures in the 60's after one jump in temperature with the clearing skies tomorrow morning. looks like we're in the 60's otherwise. thursday, friday, and saturday we have the chance of scattered showers. none of those days look like complete washouts by any stretch. just kind of the gentle rain that we need in
