sean: all right. an autopsy is scheduled for today on the body of a man killed in an officer-involved shooting in claremont. erin: cody lafont died after confrontation with police. ray: good morning. the attorney general's office investigation. police were called to the home just before 5:00 sunday morning after someone called 911 requesting service. it is unclear exactly what the call was for. at some points, police had a confrontation with 25-year-old cody lafont at the home and lafont was killed. no officers were injured in the incident. investigators not saying if there's any dash camera or body camera video showing what happened.

and interstate 95 are up to speed. from the traffic network, i'm deb davidson. erin: an autopsy is being performed on the body of a man killed in an officer-involved shooting in claremont. sean: the attorney generals saying the shooting happened shortly before 5:00 after police were called to the home on congress street. the man who died after been identified as 25-year-old cody lafont of claremont. ag's office in concord. is there any word on what lead up to the shooting? ray: not yet. officials are telling us this could be a lengthy investigation as they try to figure out the circumstances surrounding the deadly officer-involved shooting. >> a little bit more 5:00 i heard three gunshots. it made me nervous. i didn't know if there was somebody in the neighborhood running. it was very nerve racking.

claremont responded to a home early sunday morning after receiving an 911 call. when they arrived, there was some sort of a confrontation that resulted in the officer-involved shooting. 25-year-old cody lafont was killed. none of the officers were hurt. right now it is unclear what lead to the deadly shooting. >> i'm surprised. in the neighborhood we've lived here since 1985. i've never seen any problems. collected evidence. at this point, they are not saying whether any video was recorded from a dash camera or body camera. >> we provide the detail and written report as well as the legal conclusions as that what if any criminal matter should be brought. this case is no different than any of the other case that is we deal with. >> i'm kind of sad to see this has happened. i think it is just adds to the crazy world that we live in today.

i feel sad for the police officer. ray: the ag's office says this was an isolated incident. they expect to release more information once their investigation is complete. sean: thanks. authorities investigating an officer-involved shooting. police say the shooting happened when officers responded to the report of a suicidal person yesterday morning. one of the officers was confronted by a 46-year-old woman who was hysterical and carrying a large knife. the woman ignored the officer's command to drop the knife. that's when the officers fired one shot, hitting the woman. she's now recovering in the hospital. she faces a charge of assault with a dangerous

erin: tonight hillary clinton and donald trump will share the stage for the first time as they go head to head in a presidential debate. there's a lot at stake as the polls tighten with election day just six weeks away. nikole killion is in washington this morning with a preview. reporter: this will be a 90-minute debate focused on three themes, the direction, prosperity, and security. before taking the stage tonight, hillary clinton and donald trump showed off the foreign policy, meeting israeli prime minister, binyamin netanyahu. they described meetings and took early swipes. >> what we're concerned about is that there might be some sort of double standard here. donald trump can't lie on the debate stage and win or even get a passing grade. reporter: the clinton called for trump to be fact checked. >> i don't appreciate campaigns thinking it is the job of the media to go and be the virtual fact checker.

down trees in order to get the driver out. the 53-year-old massachusetts man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. we could learn more details today about the stabbing at the new hampshire motor speedway in louden. two men were stabbed friday night during a fight that involved four people. the victims were taken to the hospital. there's no word yet if arrests have been made. erin: more and more atv riders that's leaving them feeled stretched. in recent years, some town haves opened the road systems to off-road vehicle. police are in charge of handling reckless driving and speed complaints. conservation officers are responding to atv-related issues while they juggle other situations like rescues. a state commission to make relateses to address the responsibilities when it comes to atv's.

wind out of the southwest. the next front starts to move in later on this evening with an increase in clouds after sunset and then eventually the chance of some showers after midnight through about 7:00 or 8:00 tomorrow morning. as we psyched -- cycle through the temperatures, this is the way it goes. elevation and patchy following in areas. you can see within a few miles of each other, newton down to 33. hampton falls at 40. new boston at 40. this morning. your gauge may read something completely different than the airport gauges that we have. we continue to see the huge difference out there early this morning versus the couple of miles away from the lake. a few upper 20's and coolest reading that we've seen is 29 right now in white field. a lot of 30's out there. patchy fog to contend with. a few spots down to less than a third of a mile up through the north

it will be a quick climb this morning getting us to these numbers by 3:00 or 4:00. we'll watch for a sea breeze at the coast later on today keeping you cooler than inland sections. then another pretty quick drop later this evening. just not as quick as what we've been seeing. we should drop back into the mid 40's to mid 50's. a couple of scattered showers through about 7:00 or 8:00 tomorrow morning. nothing terribly heavy coming out of this. there may be a quarter of an inch of rain. as that moves by, we're in the 60's to lower and a good deal of sunshine through the afternoon. we may start with sunshine on wednesday. i suspect it will be a general increase in clouds. there might be a shower late in the day. that's the beginnings of a slow-moving system. i think with the system there could be some shower chances around not only thursday but possibility friday and maybe even lingering into a portion of the weekend. nothing terribly heavy. nonetheless, the chance of scattered showers. 60's out there this
