police shot and killed the suspect and investigators with the bomb squad are taking a close look at his car and home. maggie really tells us that police are releasing few details. maggie: early this morning panic breaks out in a shopping center parking lot in houston, texas. >> bullets passed my face literally. >> i could tell the shots were coming from this direction. >> literally i could hear the bullets going through my window. maggie: many of the victims were sitting in their cars. one person remains in critical condition. police responded immediately. >> the shooter was engaged by pd and neutralize. maggie: shooting and killing the gunman could the houston police department say they will not identify the gunman or specify a motive but they did reveal that he lives in the neighborhood,

were issues concerning his law firm. maggie: investigators are still processing the scene, checking for other weapons and making sure there are no other suspects. maggie rulli, abc news, washington. erin: right now, investigators are waiting for the results of an autopsy on the man shot and killed by police in claremont. 25-year-old cody lafont was shot after a confrontation with officers early sunday morning. the attorney general's office is leading the investigation. wmur's ray brewer is live in claremont where we are learning that lafont did ray: erin, the information is contained in these court documents. one of his next-door neighbors describes him as a good neighbor , he did have 5 misdemeanor convictions. according to a neighbor it was just before 5:00 sunday morning when they heard 3 gunshots coming from 53 congress street in claremont. the attorney general's office says police received a 911 call, and when police arrived there

lafont was shot by an officer and killed. no officers were injured. the ag's office hasn't said what the 911 emergency was about or who placed the call. however, lafont was facing a charge for misuse of the 911 system. according to the complaint, back on december 13, 2015, lafont called 911 just before 5:00 in the morning. the affidavit says the officer spoke to lafont for an hour and a half, then left the home on congress street. lafont then allegedly called 911 asking for an officer to take him to mcdonald's. when told he was misusing the system, he supposedly continued, . according to court documents, while that case is pending, lafont did plead guilty to criminal trespass, and resisting arrest, also stemming from an incident in december of last year. he was given a suspended sentence, but part of the sentence called for lafont to

the attorney general's office has not released the name of the officer or officers involved in the shooting. they say they will release more information once the investigation is complete. reporting live in claremont, ray brewer, wmur news 9. erin: all right. right now, a manchester police are investigating reports of shots that were fired saturday night on mack avenue. police say they founo nearby property. it is a crisp fall day. there were record lows in portsmouth this morning with the temperature just 38 degrees. we are expecting rain later on? kevin: showers making their way in along with two systems. sunshine, probably noticing extra high clouds starting to
