fiery crash early this morning in manchester. state police say they were trying to pull the driver over when his truck careened into some trees and burst into flames. good afternoon. i'm erin fehlau. state police say the driver was wanted after taking off from another crash just down the highway. wmur's ray brewer is live this noon at the state police barracks in bedford. ray: at this poipo driver and notify next of kin. however, the pickup truck did have out of state plates. >> the trooper attempted to stop this vehicle, which was traveling in an erratic manner. ray: state police say a trooper was pursuing this pickup truck when it left 293 in manchester , crashing into some trees, bursting into flames. four hours after the crash, a

the crash killing the driver, who was the only one in the pickup. state police say this was actually the second accident of the morning for the driver. >> in the area of exit 2 in salem, it was reported that one vehicle had side-swiped two other vehicles. ray: state police say the driver apparently got out to talk, and then took off northbound on 93. >> i saw a pickup truck swerving back and forth across the highway. it had its flashers on nearly crashed several times. ray: o'laughlin says he saw the trooper try to stop the pickup. officer chasing after him he did increase his rate of speed. ray: and it wasn't long, o'laughlin says, before both vehicles disappeared from sight. only to have the chase come to an end a few miles up the road. >> the troopers took immediate action in removing the operator from the immediate area, pulling him up the embankment, and administering first aid. ray: again, the driver didn't

minutes to put out the fire. firefighters contending not only with the fire, but also some angry hornets. it seems the pickup had come to rest on or near several nests, and a few firefighters were stung. no troopers were injured in the incident, and there were no injuries in the initial crash down in salem. one firefighter was treated for an unrelated illness. that firefighter was treated and released. reporting live in bedford ray brewer, wmur news 9. after a near head-on crash in chester last night. state police say a new jersey woman was med flighted to a boston hospital after she crossed the center line on derry road and hit an oncoming pickup truck. the 17-year-old driver of the truck, along with two passengers, were taken to a local hospital. a massachusetts state trooper has been indicted by a grand jury for his role in the beating of a man who is accused of taking officers on a two-state car chase that ended in nashua

according court documents, trooper robert flynn punched the back and right side of richard simone's body. he now faces two counts of simple assault. just last month, new hampshire state trooper andrew monaco pleaded guilty for his role in the incident. new at noon, an officer-involved shooting in claremont over the weekend has been ruled a homicide. autopsy results just released by the attorney general's office say that cody lafont was shot 3 times during the confrontation, once in the neck and twice in the chest. the medical examiner says his death was caused by the two shots to his chest. police responded to congress street sunday morning after receiving a 911 call. moving now to the autumn weather. much-needed rain graced the granite state today but didn't hit us too hard. you're looking at live pictures
