during a confrontation. reporter: the mother says the sun struggled with depression. now, she wants to know why this ended in his death. she is mourning the loss of her son, a 25-year-old. he was shot and killed by the police. >> i am strong on the outside. you are not seeing me on the you are not seeing me on the insi >> he loved animals, racing, his family, his nieces and nephews. reporter: a 911 call turned into a confrontation with the police and an officer shot him three times in the chest. her son had called before in a cry for help.

hospital after being hit by a car in salem. salem fire says this happened and the child was airlifted to boston. anchor 2: we know the name of a man who was killed in manchester this morning. brian martinez was driving erratically. he hit two vehicles before the troopers spotted him and chased him onto he struck a tree and it burst into flames. >> they took immediate action to remove the operator and pull him up the and bank meant. -- the embankment. >> he had his flashers on and nearly crashed several times.

deadly crash at a massachusetts pizza shop. bradford is accused of sm ashing into a sweet tomatoes last month. investigators say the impact moved a 4000 pound pizza oven. people were killed, including a graduate. that happened shortly after takeoff. the troopers say that it was on fire when they arrived and that the pilot was able to get out of the helicopter on his own and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. the department of transportation is laying out plans for big changes to interstate 93.
