the fire started just before 8:00 a.m. and took crews an hour to put out. good afternoon. i'm kristen carosa. the fire went to three alarms. ray brewer is alive. this brought back memories for firefighters. ray: taken down the latter. back in february 2010, there was a fire that took out a block here at hampton beach. the fire chief says that was in the back of their mind as they responded to this fire. >> it is the center of the universe. >> it was on fire. the fire chief was the first to spot the fire. >> i saw smoke coming from the

alarms. the chief says the fire appeared to start on the second floor of the purple urchin seaside cafe. >> it started to run under the underside of the roof. they are going after it under the shingles. ray: the building was built in 1901. they were dealing with seasoned wood. activated. >> i panicked. ray: donnie miller says that's what came to mind when he got the call that the business was on fire, and it only got worse when he saw how many firefighters were here. but eventually he was able to get a look inside. >> what i could see from where we're at it's just smoke damage not any water damage. ray: and while the damage is still being assessed the president of the chamber of commerce is thankful the building is still standing.

the town of hampton but the state of new hampshire as well. ray: two firefighters suffered minor injuries, they were treated and released. the cause is under investigation. the fire marshal's office has been called into with this that investigation. kristen: right now, arlene drive in belmont is closed while neighbors tell us police have been on scene since yesterday. the major crime chat -- crime truck is on scene. manchester police have identified a body found yesterday in cullerot park. officers are not releasing the person's name until all family is notified, but say the body found was a 44-year-old male. an autopsy scheduled for later today will determine the cause of death. police haven't said if this

suspect in an armed robbery at cumberland farms on webster street in manchester. police say a man wearing a red wig entered the store around 4:00 a.m. on saturday, showed a gun and demanded cash. officers say he stole three cartons of cigarettes and cash. anyone with information should contact manchester police, you could be eligible for a cash reward, if your tip leads to an arrest. police in salem are looking for a suspect who stol open on sunday. officers say a man used a crowbar to pry open the office door and took two cash boxes from an open safe. the suspect seen in these photos left in a car that was waiting for him. police do not know how much cash was taken, anyone with information should give salem police a call. a massachusetts woman is facing charges for credit card fraud in merrimack.

22-year-old shamia jordan of sudbury, massachusetts for a broken tail light in september and say they found cloned credit cards. officers say jordan admitted to using these cards at the merrimack nike outlet and merrimack liquor and wine outlet. police say she made $2000 worth of fraudulent purchases. a salem man faces several charges this noon. police say he lead them on a high speed chase from manchester all the way to enfield while driving a stolen pick-up truck. christopher o'dwyer was speeding through a construction zone on i-93 in londonderry when he refused to stop for police , reaching speeds up to 115 miles per hour. troopers say they were finally able to pop a couple of his tires but o'dwyer kept driving on bare rims up i-89 and sparks actually started several small brush fires. he finally stopped in enfield here police arrested him.
