the city which is iraq's second biggest. we spent the day with kurdish forces here in the northern part of iraq. we visited several other bases that overlook both mosul and isis positions. every fighter we met was eager, even impatient to get the battle started and push isis out of mosul. this is their last stand. they lost all the other cities they took over in 2014, and the question now is whether they put up a big fight or try to slip away acros syria. the iraqi and kurdish forces are backed up by american and other international special forces advisers on the ground and u.s. led coalition is carrying out air strikes as well. the iraqi military dropped leaflets on the city telling residents to stay away from isis positions that will be targeted. around 1 million people are expected to flee the fooigting. the u.n. and other agencies setting up emergency camps to accommodate all of them in what the u.n. says could be the biggest humanitarian crisis in
