hospitalized. officers arrested 19-year-old terrence simmons junior around 3:00 p.m. sunday. police say they found illegal drugs on him during the arrest. >> we chased his kid into the woods. we led the police and to the area and they found evidence. >> when something like this happens to people close to you you want to try to take care of it three counts of second-degree assault and faces other charges as well. he is scheduled to be arraigned in court this morning. reporting live in plymouth, ray brewer, wmur news 9. sean: this morning durham police , are still looking for the man who allegedly assaulted a store clerk. police say this man walked into sammy's market saturday, assaulted the store clerk and then left. the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. anyone with any information is

right now, authorities are looking for a missing woman. linda tate and her australian cattle dog were last seen near the tilton and sanborton town line while walking around 2:30 sunday afternoon, but she never returned. officers believe she is wearing clothing similar to what is seen in this photo. her dog, masie, has a silver training collar and is black. if you have any information, call sanborton police. if you're planning on checking to be prepared. officials say they are seeing an increase in accidents because of the amount of tourists hiking and looking at the beautiful scenery. but these kinds of problems can be avoided by preparing in advance. >> a lot of the issues that we are having is people are just unprepared. they're not packing things that they should have in their gear. they're not brining any gear on some cases. they're not bringing flashlights. they're not having good study hiking boots.

following that each of the next five or six days will be cooler than the one before. a front came through last night and a couple of very quick showers, leaving us with patchy fog. that should give way to partial sunshine as temperatures jump from the 40's and 50's to the 60's and mid 70's this afternoon. a warm front is approaching and moving through the great could be a few showers in the northern half of the state. you notice the huge difference from the cooler start yesterday to the milder start early this morning, a solid 15 to 20 degrees warmer. this is around all the way through the day on wednesday before the next front eventually comes through.

mild temperatures in the 40's and 50's this morning and close moving through overnight. this afternoon well in the 60's to even the mid-70's, and it looks like the milder air is around for the next couple of days. sean: iraq's military launched a major operation overnight to try to retake the city of mosul from isis militants. some 30,000 iraqi troops are taking part in the operation, backed up by u.s. led coalition air strikes. they're facing an estimated 5000 isis fighters who are holding the city of about one million people. the operation could take months to complete. it is being called the toughest battle for iraq's military since american troops left nearly five years ago. the country's prime minister announced the start of operation. >> the victory bell has rang in the operations to liberate mosul have come. i am announcing the beginning of

police say she was shot in the neck when two groups of men started firing at each other. one man has been arrested in connection with the shooting. firefighters in boston are trying to figure out what sparked a fire that caused nearly $1 million in damage to a building on newbury street. the fire broke out last night on the first floor of a four-story brownstone. there are no reports of any injuries. a restaurant and an art gallery sustained significant damage. estimated at about $900,000. nevada get the upper hand on a major wildfire that's destroyed 22 homes. right now the fire is 20% contained and crews say they have managed to keep the flames away from nearly 500 homes. however, hundreds of other structures are still being threatened. there are now concerns of flooding and landslides and mandatory evacuations remain in place. a team of vets came to the rescue of a rhino in zimbabwe after finding it in a unusual predicament.
