areas will quickly move out. all of the changes we will see this weekend. shelley: flash flood warning right now for part of the seacoast. another just expiring in southern parts of the state. manchester now telling people to only travel for emergencies. plus, cyber attacks. a new hampshire internet company the victim. the big companies disrupted and the impact tonight >> tremendous momentum all over the country. shelley: republican vice presidential nominee mike pence in the granite state. his attacks on hillary clinton tonight. >> no one covers new hampshire like we do. now, wmur news 9 shelley: tonight. we begin this friday night with the weather. parts of the seacoast are now under a flash flood warning. the heavy rain causing flooding on mast road in goffstown earlier.

i'm shelley walcott. part of west main and church street in kingston also dealing with flooding. let's head right over to chief meteorologist mike haddad. mike: that rain very intense over the last several hours. clogged storm drains. some trouble. flash flood warning has been dropped as scheduled in the merrimack valley. no additional concerns, although there is flash flood warning in effect for another 45 minutes for those areas along the coast, back to portsmouth, exeter, and surrounding towns. take a look at doppler radar estimates in terms of rainfall. all of the yellows indicate up to three-plus inches of rain. the green indicate two inches plus. that is a lot of rain over a short period of time. you notice the heavy axis of

coast, but notice how it is shutting off west of the merrimack valley. concord, merrimack, nashua done with the rain in the next hour. more big changes follow the weekend. all of that straight ahead. shelley: this rain created some pretty major issues across the city of manchester tonight. officials say the water has now receeded in most parts of the city. wmur's mike cronin joins us livi manchester. mike: the rain certainly not what it was in our or two hours ago. it is still coming down at a good clip. the situation has improved on west river drive after city workers cleared the area but earlier this road was under more than a foot of water. it appears one of the issues storm drains like this one were covered in leaves.

you can see many cars were partially under water. one of the neighbors trying to help by clearing the storm drain with a shovel. many roads across manchester affected by tonight's intense rain including webster and maple streets. firefighters were clearing storm drains their too where the water , level was very high. that's where we found a man who needed a tow after he got caught in the flooded road. >> we were heading out for the movies and it got flooded in that corner. so we i am drenched and i'm going to have some ice cream now. >> honestly, the roads are flooded. all the cars are going five miles an hour. you have the little card, they are praying. they are trying to get through. and it had the big trucks that don't care. they are running through it. mike: again the city says water , has receeded in most parts of

driving is ok on most city rose. mike cronin, wmur news 9. shelley: thank you for that update. we're also following a developing story from just over the border in haverhill, massachusetts where an amtrak , downeaster train has been stuck for at least five hours. they were stopped just north of haver hill station in i passengers a few minutes ago. >> the train itself is pretty drenched. it is between the cars and we are seeing it come down pretty heavy in the area as well. the crew up in front of us was supposed to -- shelley: we just heard from that passenger a few minutes ago.

moving again after being stuck for five hours. a granite state company is investigating after a series of major cyberattacks paralyzed parts of the country. manchester based dyn got hit multiple times today, interrupting their systems and their customers, which include twitter and netflix. dyn sent out an alert saying someone had sent a distributed denial of service attack on their infrastructure. this type of cyberattack sends large volumes of traffic to specific servers to shut them down. >> we recommend that folks take a look, the types of devices they have in their home, whether they are internet connected, web cameras, dvr's, or the home wireless router, to see if they are vulnerable. shelley: again dyn has not , spoken to us since the attacks . however, the white house is calling the disruption malicious. on to commitment 2016 coverage.

shelley: we are following breaking news out of nashua where southern new hampshire medical center is on divergent status. it is sending and illnesses to other nearby hospital. water has damaged six of its intensive care unit rooms. the hospital tells us the emergency room is still open and will be accepting patients. we are just getting w problems in durham. the town is reporting flooding in unusual locations, like main street, penny brook lane, and townhall. unh has flooding and students are being asked to stay indoors. the town says one person was hit by lightning inside their house. that person is being taken to the hospital. we will bring you any updates as they come into the newsroom. an emotional moment in milford,

field lesson 24 hours after the quarterback died. linda kane lost her battle with cancer last night. she had been involved with the program for 15 years. her youngest son is the quarterback. her two older sons were on the team and the daughter is a cheerleader. the team and fans wore pink in her honor. >> everyone is here to support zach. he wants to play football tonight. i think w >> her heart and her soul was dedicated to her children. she was definitely a mentor to every child that she ever touched and came across. shelley: coach joan says linda was one of milford's finest. mike: we continue with the flash flood concerns at the coast right now.

2-3 inches of rain in the past several hours. in the merrimack valley the heavy rain has shut off. it is good news because water is receding across southern new hampshire. the flooded streets should continue to improve. not so the case to the east where we are tracking heavy rain continuing in and around rochester all the way down to portsmouth, although the axis of strong storms is shooting offshore in the laew off in the next couple of hours while in central and western parts of the state, that is taking place. in the merrimack valley, steady rain left over. it picks up in intensity as you get closer to the coast line and into the eastern parts of the lakes region and parts of the great north woods. all of this will pivot out in another two or three hours.

steady rain over a good portion of central and western massachusetts, connecticut, rhode island. this moves on towards tomorrow morning. during the morning hours, little rain will fall. low-pressure rotating in from the south and west. intensifying right over us will cause or bands of showers to fire up in the afternoon and evening. tomorrow night, it will be cold enough for a change to snow. levels, even a top mount washington. unseasonably warm. those dew points are indication of how moist the air is and how humid it feels. to be in the 60's is not unheard of, but very rare for the month of october. tonight will not be all that chilly. we coast into the low to mid 50's. cooler air is on its way.

average at the great lakes. that takes over and changes the rain over to snow. here is a look at the timeline. rain pivots out. leftover showers up north, but not a lot in central and southern new hampshire. scattered showers fill in during the afternoon and early evening and here comes the change over to snow. you could see several inches across the white mountains, especially in the higher terrain, with a coating of possibly up to an inch in the lower region and the plymouth area. most of it will be across the higher terrain of the white mountains. gusty winds takeover later tomorrow. gusty on sunday after early-morning mixed or snow showers north. rapidly clearing son by midday. breezy out of the northwest for monday and tuesday. temperatures below average with snow showers each day in the mountains. early to mid november all the way. shelley: such a messy night
