cherise: police say they have pulled the body of what they believe to be 16-year-old jacob goulet from -- adam: he seems to have fallen into a storm drain. from the water this afternoon and again, the police think it was the body they up and work -- looking for. 16-year-old jacob goulet was reported missing by his parents saturday after he didn't return home after visiting a friend's home on friday night. nashua police received a tip from a passerby on friday night that they saw personal items near an open storm drain on main street. authorities believe that goulet fell down the storm drain.

state police helicopter spotted a body in the merrmimack river in tyngsboro, massachusetts. the body was pulled from the water. again, right now nashua police say it appears it's goulet, but they are waiting for an official i.d. >> there is no positive identification until the medical examiner makes a positive identification. that will have to be done by the massachusetts medical examiner's office. n official id, we will bring that information to you. live in nashua, kristen carosa, wmur news 9. adam: the search for jacob goulet has taken a toll on the local community, particularily his family and friends. cherise: jacob is a student at nashua high school north, where grief counselors will be on hand this week to speak with his classmates. wmur's mike cronin joins us live with more reaction from nashua.

his family. cherise: we will continue to bring you the latest developments on the disappearance of jacob goulet. on wmur.com, we've built a timeline starting with what police know about the moments before goulet disappeared. adam: right now an investigation is underway in plymouth after a car crashed into a dollar store. police say that it happened on tennymountain highway around noon. no injuries resulted in the accident. heavily damaged and is now closed as crews assess the damage. a horse was killed after it was hit by a small suv in deerfield this morning. police say the horse had gotten loose in the area of 59 stage road just after 7:00. there was no rider involved in the accident. the driver of the suv is ok. the horse died of injuries at the scene. cherise: moving now to the

snow of the season this morning. here's a photo from pittsburg where hundreds of power outages were reported. right now, temperatures are chilly and the winds are gusty. let's check in with meteorologist hayley lapoint. hayley: it is hard to believe, here we are in late october, but it is pretty much on schedule for the north country, we typically get a little bit of snow in october in those northern areas. the highest total exceeded my expectation, over six an inch in whitefield. throughout the day, we have had snow continuing to fall, but only in higher elevations. right now, we are enjoying sunshine. temperatures in the 40's and 50's, and look at this wind, the gusts causing damage and power

breaking news. nashua police now say the believe a body recovered from the merrimack river is that of missing teen jacob goulet. good afternoon. i am adam sexton. cherise: i am cherise leclerc. massachusetts state police spotted the body from the air just before noon today. police are still waiting for positive identification, but they say based on the clothing and condition of the body it is believed to be the missing teen. they believe he fell down a storm drain friday night. after two people entered a boston-bound american airlines flight unnoticed. a father and daughter entered through a jetway door left unlocked overnight. adam: as rhondella richardson from our sister station wcvb tells us, the security scare was only realized minutes before takeoff. reporter: he and his 21-year-old daughter reported american flight 1655 through an unlocked philadelphia gate door. >> it was clear they were very

cherise: an atlanta toddler is becoming a model for diversity. but getting him a shot has not come easy. adam: the 15-month-old boy was reportedly rejected by a modeling agency because he has down syndrome. abc's rachel smith tells us how one mother's outrage has ignited a global campaign. reporter: asher nash is just 15 months old but already is making a name for himself. he has down syndrome and parents that want to share his joy with others. >> anytime we had a phone out or a camera, we just noticed he loved to be in front of it. reporter: in july, asher's mother, meagan, submitted his photos to a talent agency which the family chose not to name looking for children for an oshkosh b'gosh ad campaign. >> he met the size criteria, the eye color, the hair color so i submitted. reporter: after not hearing from the agency, she reached out and says she was told they never submitted asher's photos to oshkosh because the company
