the prescription medication was found when the mother went to treat her daughter. instead of a prize, though, they got pills. ray brewer is live outside the business, where he just spoke with the owner. ray: the owner of the pizza shop is incredibly upset. he says his nieces would beg him for quarters so they could get candy or a prize, and he can't imagine what would have happened had a little child found that those pilld pizza, there is an empty space where the gumball machine used to stand. on friday, courtney jones went there to eat dinner with her mother and her daughters. >> we went over to the gumball machines and i put the quarters in and she got two toys and then the third one came out. ray: this is what was inside -- instead of a prize, prescription medicine. >> two of them were a form of blood pressure medication and the third was a kidney stone medication. >> we kind of sat in shock for a minute, and i said i'm going to

ray: jones says that manager was as shocked as she was. the owner, while not willing to go on camera, says he has no idea how the drugs ended up in the machine. police say they are still trying to answer that question. >> we're working with the vendor out of massacusetts who says he buys these in bulk and then just pours them into the machine. ray: jones says she doesn't blame the business but she would like some answers, and she's worried about other machines. >> how many are out how many containers are filled, who filled that. ray: police say they are told the medication, even if -- they have been told that the medication even if taken by a child, would not have been life-threatening. and now they are planning to review surveillance tape to see if the machine was tampered with here in rochester.

sean: all right, ray, thanks. new details now on a story we've -- police in nashua confirmed that the remains they pulled from the merrimack river sunday are those of 16-year-old jacob goulet. the city of nashua is now taking steps to make sure its storm drains are safer. crews are working to secure all sewer covers in the city with tamper-proof bolts and locks. aluminum covers will be replaced covers. and every month, crews will inspect all the city's nearly 9,000 manhole and sewer covers. new details now on a story we've been following. laconia police have identified the victim believed to be at the center of a kidnapping but are still looking for a suspect. police were called to cottage street early monday morning after witnesses reported seeing a woman screaming while being pulled by her hair into a vehicle. that vehicle was later found in concord. police have issued a warrant for

he should be considered armed and dangerous. a tearful apology from concord woman as she plead guilty to vehicular assault in a deadly crash in 2014. police say jordan heath was driving on allenstown road in pembroke when she ran a red light and hit a motorcyclist. 66-year-old michael phelps was killed. today, heath recived a 12-month suspended sentence and her license will be revoked for 5 years. heath was initially charged with negligent homicide but her trial en breaking news -- a federal judge has just approved volkswagen's $15 billion commission settlement. the owners affected will be able to sell back their cars starting next week. volkswagen still faces billions more in fines and possible criminal charges after admitting

we have seen the flakes flying in and around the lakes region as well. mount washington valley seeing some snowflakes. we have been back-and-forth between the clouds and sunshine through the remainder of the afternoon. you notice again the moisture trying to survive the white mountains and in a few places successful doing so but bumping into temperatures in the low to mid 40's. in the low country, stuck in the 30's. forced the sun angle high through the afternoon, very difficult to stick on area roadways even in far northern parts of the state. this flow does relax later tonight and tomorrow and eventually leads us to the next system which tries to arrive during the daylight hours on thursday. it is a light snow, snow showers , and then you get to the other side of the mountains and some of this is trying to survive all the way into the lakes region of

it is obvious. these are a little bit early in their stage of development. these pedals will start to die back. the fronts here will start to rub off and once that starts to happen, you know those are good and dry and mature and that is when you can harvest the head and remove the seeds and score them separately or leave them in and pull them out as you need to. ray: jeremy, another thing people gathered to see, i have a tomato plant that was great this that. how do i go about it? jeremy: you want to choose varieties that are open pollinated, which means they will come back true to see. what you want to do, avoid hybrid varieties if you are going to save seed. ray: why is that, jeremy? jeremy: they come from 2 very specific parents and without them homeowners cannot get the same variety entries that they

cut it in half and harvest these seeds. a spoon is helpful. go to a container just like this. you will get a little bit of gel in here, which is what you want. tomatoes are a little different. they have that gel. at some wanted to that. you allow that to bascally ferment for 5-7 days. you may see a little scum on the top. ray: uncovered? jeremy: you can cover with cheesecloth. you'll see some scum layer which means it is working. ray: what about squash? jeremy: make sure they are mature and that you don't leave a mark and that you know they are good and ready. you can let them go long. harvest, remove these seeds, and you will get something like this and it will have a little bit of flesh on it.
